- Using Autodesk Fusion 360 to design a simple Iris mechanism.
Though a simple mechanism, it has widespread applications; from a camera shutter, to a version of the iris mechanism being used as the principle grabbing mechanism in the Canada Arm of the NASA space Orbiter.

I added a dislike and would like to explain. Steps are too fast No need to hurry. No comments at all. Screen capture is fuzzy when full screen. Music a distraction and does not take the place of a narrative. Please repost as the content is great but it is just hard to follow.
Good content, but the resolution of the video is so low that you can barely see what's going on. Also a few comments instead of background music would improve this video a lot!
I can't figure out how the curve on top plate is measured. Seems 'by hand'.
Would you please be kind enough and try to explain?
I like this video. I have followed it and it came out perfectly, but I would like to know if you (or someone) knows how the dimensions of each part are determined. I need to design one, but with different measurements. I've tried climbing it, but it didn't work for me. You would help me a lot. Thanks!!!
I'm wondering the same thing, cause in real life you have constraints on dimensions, hardware, tools and more... constraints that videos like this seem to overlook.
Did you found a solution?
I am also wondering, everyone just shows tutorials on making one specific version. How do you actually get an estimate of leaf shape, pivot location, slide location, etc?
any chance to get your fusion file?
Can you share the finished Project please?
Great work. Please share link of *.f3d (Fusion file) file of your model. Thanks
Amazing, can you please share the file of the model?
Nice to see this. I want to make one to understand better. Please share the model files.
