      @@FlashFoxBox I'm sorry, we only accept returns of unmodified undamaged unused still-in-the-unopened-packaging stargates. That your stargate has an iris means that it was taking out of the packaging, modified, used and then was damaged due to the nature of the modifications, thereby your warranty is invalid. additionally, our warranties run out after two thousand years, and we went out of business prior to the goa'uld empire's taking of human hosts, which occured several thousand years ago. In fact, I don't know how you got in contact with us the Stargate Sales Team, as we had ascended to a higher plane of existence, and as you are neither Daniel Jackson nor from abydos, I don't know how it is you are communicating here... And what is this, mepipe thing?

    • @exterminater267
      @exterminater267 3 года назад +7

      Well mostly its people/creatures walking on the ground. So they wouldn't materialize against the bottom of the Iris. But if it was a large enough object to cover the middle, you would have this tiny strip of whatever material just sorta "poop" out of the center of the Iris. lmao
      For the sake of the Plot Im just going to assume that never happened. or their Iris has a full seal overlap or something.

    • @AlMcpherson79
      @AlMcpherson79 3 года назад +3

      @@exterminater267 thing I never got is that the iris isn't perfectly flat, but when closed, the middle protrudes outward a bit, it's got to to have a fully-closed state result in the ends of the individial pieces actually going past the centre and creating the 'rose petal' bit (or whatever you call it, that's what I call it). fully-flat, the pieces would indeed meet in the centre and probably have this problem, but with the offset, the gap could be closed. I think? but that means that to be fully 'microns' from the Event Horizon of the wormhole, the wormhole itself in the middle... protrudes out (so it's not a | flat but a ( or < shape)

    • @TheLostSorcerer
      @TheLostSorcerer 3 года назад +2

      Many times did something try to come through the Stargate and "hit" the Iris; there was a thud. It had to be air tight so that various gas-related and atom-related contents didn't get through (like poison, explosions, and even the gravity of a black hole once (though I think that was stopped by just turning off the gate, I don't recall the exact episode :P ))
