  • Hey my name is Bryan Cohen and i'm drive in the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU cup. This is my first year riding in the class and we already managed to get 50 points as rookie. Until now i'm really enjoying it in this cup and i will go for the championship.

    Free practice 1:
The first free practice started at 9:00 AM. In this I became 3rd but after a mistake I turned out to be 1st. I had a time of 1:43.180 0.800 seconds faster than p2. The rear tire was exhausted and of course I still had to get in.
    Free practice 2:
At 12:05 pm the second free practice started and it went a lot better where I managed to set a time of 1:42.576. 0.070 seconds slower than P1. Overall, I'm very happy with both workouts, but there's still plenty of room for improvement. Especially when it comes to slipstreaming.
    Qualification 1:
At 2:20 PM we moved on to Qualifying 1 where I was fast but at one point “too” fast. I made a hard right turn and had to flip the bike for a left turn but the bike slid out from under me. The damage was considerable, but not so bad that we were unable to progress to Qualifying 2. Thanks to the fantastic effort of the team, we were able to have the engine repaired and participate in the second qualification.
    Qualification 2:
Qualifying 2 started at 5:25 PM and I rode with a group and this was a lot of slipstreaming. In the end I managed to finish second. With a time of 1:42.261 “0.600 seconds slower than p1” I managed to reach p2 on the grid.
    Warm up:
At 09:00 we started with the warming up. By not being very smart, I was speeding on a cold track and accelerating too hard out of a corner, causing me to crash again. This time the damage was worse and we wondered if we would be able to run the races. I achieved a P1 time of 1:41.936. Luckily because of the great team I have, they were able to fix the bike before the race and so I was able to start.
    Race 1:
The first race was to start at 12:05 PM. Unfortunately, someone had fallen and an air ambulance had to come. Unfortunately this rider is no longer with us and later passed away #23. The race was therefore moved by 20 minutes. Before the race started, we all drove out of the pits and onto the track. When we arrived there were signs with the race numbers on the position. So I was on P2. Once everyone was in place, someone started waving a green flag. That's when the state kicked in and we started with a warm-up lap. I always drive this at full speed so that the tires stay warm and I get into a fast rhythm. After the warm-up lap we took our seats and the lights went on. After they turned on they went out and we started the first game. I had a good start and came into the corner in second. Due to a few mistakes I was overtaken again in the first lap. After 2 laps I took position P1 again and from that moment no one passed me anymore and I started to create a gap. To the point that I had 4 more laps to go I almost got a high sider (when the rear slips and then regains traction). Fortunately, I got away from it well because of the many sports and training of reaction time. In the end I was the first to cross the finish line with a lead of no less than 5 seconds.
    Race 2:
At 15:30 the second race started this was exactly the same as race 1. The only difference was that I entered the first corner in 4th place. At turn 2 I had a legendary exit that made me overtake all 3 riders in front of me. They couldn't get past me after that. I finally managed to win this race with a 5.6 seconds lead.
I would like to thank my team for the great effort. Without them I would not have been able to drive qualifying and I would probably have been behind something. Also, I might not have been able to drive race 1 and maybe even race 2.
