    Can 100% vouch for this fix and method. Had to do it on our 22 not very long after buying due to our driveway angle and it has held up great. I did a mix of this jb weld and gorilla glue and it hasn't been an issue since in well over 6 months. Mine was only passenger side at least so far. I taped mine after putting in the glue from bumper to fender and let it sit most of the day, which seemed to be enough pressure to hold and didn't have to add any outside pressure.

    Thank you for this! I had seen this product on some Giulia boards, but wasn't sure if the bond would be so strong it would eat into the plastic or take away the bumper plus some upon another impact. If you run into any aftermarket part that can help prevent further damage, please post! Also, a note on 3M adhesive patches for other owners. They work for a very, very limited time. In extreme heat they just come off. Again, thanks for the video!

    So I ordered the epoxy ok Amazon and then had a thought- 3M double sided adhesive automotive tape available at any auto parts store. I already had some from another car project. Cleaned the plastic with alcohol and then applied the 3M tape to the clip area and then set the bumper cover over it and pressed firmly. All fixed! The epoxy probably works well too, but if the cover needs to be removed I think the 3M tape will leave less of a mess to deal with.

    Question: If I don't want to use JB Weld on my car, is my only option to replace the bumper entirely? I'd rather save the money if I can, without using this method. I personally just don't like JB Weld. If it means buying a whole new bumper, I'd rather go that route.

    • @alfamods2.0T
      @alfamods2.0T  4 месяца назад +1

      Yeah as of right now it’s this or 900 for a bumper plus paint and blending and that’s probably just as much as the bumper. I would easily choose a 15 dollar fix over that and there is zero promise they will get the paint to match as good as they one already on your car.

    • @Foreign501st
      @Foreign501st 4 месяца назад

      @@alfamods2.0T Thanks for the quick response. I think I'll just replace the bumper. The paint used on my Giulia is the lipari gray variant. I've used a little bit of the paint of some slight scratches I've gotten over the years, and with proper painting and polishing, it blends in nicely with the rest of the paint and looks new. Maybe I can give a few paint cans to the body shop, or perhaps just paint it myself.
      Curse that Dennys parking lot curb for causing this to begin with! 😆
