So the tumor that was induced to shut off the dopamine receptors and increased my prolactin levels doesn’t seem to be faded away. My prolactin levels are still higher then what it was. The range is near 20 ng/dl. I seen people with prolactinoma having done surgeries and afterwards their prolactin levels went down to 7ng/dl and that’s for a female. I was a healthy exercising fit male before having given this medicine. I’ve gained weight lost a lot of my libido I consider myself sexually dis functional! And even coffee in the morning doesn’t have much effect. And another thing it feels like the since of feeling life has decreased could be related to dopamine levels not going back to normal. Please is their a solution to this problem. Help me! And thank you!
Abilify (aripiprazole) is usually very effective at reducing prolactin levels that have been elevated from other antipsychotic medications. And *very* low doses are often sufficient. I can’t make personalized recommendations on specific doses, durations or strategies on a RUclips comments section. But your doctor should be able discuss options and details with you.
Can I continue taking invega at a lower dose and take abilify as well, will that decrease my prolactin levels or will I have to stop the invega completely ?
@@VerdosoVersusElites 2 mg often works. Others get results at 5 mg. Usually best to start at the lower dose. This is to be considered general information - not a specific recommendation... not medical advice.

What about adding ability to lower prolactin
I am taking invega and now my prolactin level is high. Can I take abilify to decrease prolactin ? How long should I take?

In addition to those options, adding a very low dose of aripiprazole can often normalize prolactin level.
