I've lived in West Bloomfield for 29 years and I love it...sent my son to k-12 school and could have not been happier.
Not planning on moving.
Such a great place to live!!
@@alexaolmosg8960 I'm not.
this is a test reply from youtube
So did I Andy ???
I grew up in West Bloomfield in the 70s, when some of it was still apple orchards. Miss those walks!
That would have been amazing!
I lived in Kimberly North in high school and loved it there! Cass Lake every weekend was my family's thing. But that was back when Tally Hall was still in existence. I bet it's so different now.
West Bloomfield also has one of the country’s top 20 libraries! We have great parks too!
Enjoyed the video! One thing - West Bloomfield does have a single drive thru that I know of - the Tim Hortons at Maple & Orchard Lake
Can you do a video on Huntington Woods next? I lived there for 23 years and it was amazing. Lots of peace and quiet and easy to get around.
Planning on doing a video about some of the best, overlooked places to live and Huntington Woods will be on it👍👍
Would be cool to see a video on my childhood hometown Berkeley, Michigan
Please do a video of Grosse Ile..Many people even Michigan residents do not know the island exists.
Absolutely!! It's on "the list" 😊
I miss those days of shopping at Sundance shoes, Next step shoes, Levin's beauty and going to Tally Hall down the road. $3.12 for a giant plate of almond chicken, fried rice and an egg roll! Then my husband would top it off at Mile high Pie. The 80's were so much fun.
It took two videos to come to the conclusion I cant this guy and his videos are minutes I will never get back
Fun fact. The driver through ban has resulted in a fast food Mecca right on the border to Kego Harbor.
😂 true
Commerce Township also benefits from this
Birmingham also bans new drive throughs. There are a couple old places that were grandfathered.
I love living here. Great video.
You forgot to mention that everything closes at 10pm, except Meijer (well, almost everything) 😊
Haha, TRUE! I guess Meijer is the night owl's best friend. Thanks for pointing that out!
The northern half of West Bloomfield has some of the most spectacular scenery in Metro Detroit whereas the southern half of West Bloomfield is extremely annoying with the traffic and pushy people - I've lived here for 60 years and seen the place change from bucolic to maddening.
I'd have to agree
@@PaulWolfert Let’s fix that… Lived there for many years in that southern part.. Walnut Lake Rd-ish… it was wonderful and pretty cool, the balance of quite and quality, some nice spots of rural too… but I see-heard the populous and the traffic kind of irritated the whole scene. Anyway, nice video piece and rundown you gave on it - actually considering re-settling back in there one of these days… ✨ Peace.
I choose to disagree. I dont think they have the most spectacular scenery. Oxford has better views once you get away from Lapeer Rd. The west side of Oxford Twp has a lot of woods. The eastern section and Addison Twp has woods and water. Independence Twp with the lakes and hills also tops the list. There is also nice hilly scenery around Springfield.
@@ceeko5484 you're probably right but my channel is all about Metro Detroit
@@ceeko5484 The drive around Orchard Lake cannot be beat. Not only is the scenery spectacular but it also has some of the most historic past of any spot in Metro Detroit - Apple Island once a Native American village site and the location of where Chief Pontiac met with the local chiefs as well as the Scotch Settlement and the Military Academy.
Beautiful area
Agreed! So many lakes!
You're absolutely right about WB. It's too far out there. It's not really close to anything, doesn't have much, and dies out at night like crazy. Plus, during the winter its a depressing place. There are a bunch of alternatives where you can get large houses, quiet neighborhoods, but the city or township still has some life. Honestly, I think anything west of telegraph is too far west from anything. I think "old" money hypes it up.
The Tim Hortons on orchard lake and maple is a drive thru though.
Quick question.I have a job opportunity in Webberville and wanted to see what the best city to live in with good schools near there?
I grew up here from 1980 to 1993 😮
Funny .. I remember the JCC 😗
Did you like it? Where did you move to?
@@PaulWolfert
Yes !! I very unique Jewish culture that most don’t think exists in the Midwest .
West-ta-bloomfield to my Arab brethren.
Such a funny guy ...😀
😅😅 thanks!
it's very upmarket (a step above troy, rochester hills, novi). you won't get much of a house for 250,000 (you get a cheaply built cookie cutter ranch on a slab). not a good place to live if your middle class.
My brother invested money on torch lake! Great investment. Better than the stock market. If you have the capital to invest. Double or triple your money. Safer than the stock market.
Agreed! ALMOST bought a house to rent on Torch Lake but found out the area it's in doesn't allow short term rentals.
@@PaulWolfert I remember when the lakes were just little cottages. Now they build them the size of hotels. They push out the little people.
Do a video about Roseville
Hi! How about Lansing?
Lansing is a bit out of my normal "Metro Detroit" zone 😅
Can you do a video for Southfield MI??
@@dsliz78 I agree
“Land scientist” Lol.
😂😂😂
There’s no fast food places in Birmingham Michigan either. Birmingham doesn’t want them lol😂😂😂.
Ahhh! Yeah. That's true.
