- Alexa Ray Joel (daughter to the Great Billy) has a track out called "Invisible." I'm a huge fan of Billy Joel so why not support his one and only daughter. Talent runs in this family.

While there is no question whose daughter she is, she has her own voice and character. And she has the best of both her parent's looks. What a girl...
Because her heritage and her looks happen to be quite remarkable and worth noting. There's nothing disrespectful about that. I would also add that her voice and this song is every bit as remarkable and worth noting. This girl is the whole package and we're going to be hearing a lot from her in the future. Her parents must be very proud.

My cousin played me her song "Notice Me", thinking I would hate it like she did...but I loved it, and decided to look up other stuff...I just love this song, she has a really soulful voice, and makes me think of Idina Menzel a bit. People shouldn't judge Alexa just from that one song, she's really quite talented.

This song is clever enough with the melody and lyrics to have been able to at least reached good position on the top charts at the time, but the main stream radio stations didn't play it. I just happened to run across it here on RUclips, and bought the Sketches album back around 2009. Good songs on it. Did her dad piss off the wrong people along the way? The sound engineering behind it wasn't top notch, and I wouldn't have gone with a bright toned piano. Should have just used a Steinway or Yamaha grand piano. Has an '80s-90s feel to the sound engineering, which may have been a factor in why it was ignored. However, the essence of the song is solid. It could be quite something if you got one of these people that engineers Beyonce, Perry, etc. songs to remaster it. Can't think of any other real reason MSM has avoided her like the plague. I'd really like to hear some new stuff from the lady.
I've said it before elsewhere, but Alexa was very pretty before she went for the nose job. She had a unique look that was an asset, imo. Too bad she caved to the idiot vanity critics. Now she just looks more barbie doll mainstream like her mom. Too bad really. Oh well. I still like her style though. Hope to hear a new album sometime in the near future.

Billy has green eyes, not brown, and Alexa Ray has gorgeous hazel eyes -- with an inner ring of light brown surrounded by green.

@SteveKasian I'm assuming you haven't listened to pop radio in the last five years. EVERY female singer on the radio is auto-tuned to some degree: Ke$ha, Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Rihanna- I could go on forever. Alexa may not have a powerhouse voice, but she's easily a better singer than the ones I just listed. BTW, there's more to being a musical entertainer than having a voice that breaks crystal. Who wants to listen to Mariah Carey all the time? Alexa has her own style and is growing.
She is beautiful, she has a Jewish dad so yes she looks Jewish. Her big round eyes are pretty! and she has a good voice

Her father has been treated for depression as well. You can't get "cheered up" with true depression because there is a chemical imbalance in the brain involved that shows very clearly on a CAT scan. It isn't being crazy or mentally ill. The fact that she sought treatment at this stage of her life is very important.
According to her mother, she took homeopathic aspirin--the only drugs in her apartment. consider it for what it was --a cry for help.
Leave judgment to God-you don't qualify.
To me, it was sad to see her undergo plastic surgery due to the pressure on her to follow in her mother's footsteps ...

Miss Joel has a great voice, but there's nothing unique about it. ZIP. She sounds like a dozen others, and that simply not gonna cut it in this business.
She needs to take some tips from dear old dad and cultivate a sound all her own. Otherwise, she'll wind up "on the discount rack like another can of beans"...
