Mfs be like "I fixed fallout 4's combat!!11" and all they did was lower everyones hp and make all the guns deal more damage

If fallout was meant to be a completely serious franchise dedicated to boring politics and faction drama than why can I kill a giant crab with a paddle ball? Why is there a squirt gun that shoots out explosive soda? Why is there cooky laser weapons like laser mini guns and alien blasters? Why is there a fucking weapon called "Waser Wifle". Buttler robots with chainsaws and flamethrowers, a giant robot spouting anti-communist propaganda while throwing nuclear bombs like footballs, a rocket powered sledgehammer, and a gauntlet crafted from a mutated chameleon. What I'm getting at is that these fake ass Fallout "Fans" don't get what the fallout franchise is about
@@hatt3reneYou dont understand either. Just because a game is goofy doesn't mean it doesn't have to be grounded in reality. "There's dragons in lord of the rings! That's not realistic so they might as well just t pose and fly off into the sun!" The point is the game should still be grounded in reality despite its fantastical elements. Fallout is NOT supposed to be a super serious shooter for only hardcore FPS players. It IS an RPG and most RPGs should be grounded in reality. It's a stupid argument to say just because a game has rocket powered sledgehammers means that a regular man with no armor on his hear should be able to survive multiple headshots as thats not grounded in reality at all.

This is exactly what I'm trying to say, the problem is fallout ""Fans"" who try to ""fix"" the game by just trying to make it's combat system like stalker or generic survival horror shooter from the 2000's. Sure, an unarmored human surviving a headshot is bad, but a deathclaw or a mirelurk queen dieing to a single headshot from a 10 millimeter is even infinitely stupider
@@hatt3rene Yes. I did agree with you. It's not a super serious shooter. What I meant in essence was that just because a game like Fallout has the iron giant 2.0 and robot butlers doesn't mean that it shouldn't be somewhat grounded in reality. You can enjoy shooting Kellogg's face a million times and gunning down General Lee Oliver all you want. But you can't just call somebody a "fake" fallout fan just because they don't want to play the game the same way as you.

Your work is wonderful and I greatly appreciate your videos. If you are able to, I would love to see a Quality of Life mod video. Obviously, QoL varies from person to person. For example, I prefer a mod that automatically unlocks terminals if you have the appropriate Perk. That may not be for everyone. Some of your favorites would be appreciated.

He has installed a lot of graphical mods which he showed in his previous video's.
Hence the significantly better graphics (btw check those video's, I installed the mods he advised on my Series X version of Fallout 4 and the game looks insane.
Its a difference over night and day compared to vanilla)

Commonwealth 2.0 is a good overhaul mod pack for not alot of space
5x incoming/out going Damage Mod is Great too. 3-5 shots. No bullet Sponges.
I use Skk Dynamic Damage Manager for this..does a fair bit more aswel👍

Been waiting the last two days lunar
I just got my Steam Deck OLED in the mail and just finished watching the show and it's made me really want to dive back into Fallout 4 and try modding it for the first time. Ideally, I'd love to have a modded setup that allows me to pick up the same save file between my new Steam Deck and my more powerful desktop rig, but I know a lot of the PC mods are still busted after the next gen update. If I were mainly focusing on playing on the Steam Deck, do you think it would be better to use all in game mods and follow your list here, or should I use Nexus and go through the process of transferring mods to my Steam Deck? Thanks!

How's the load order work for these mods? Till this day it still confuses me.
Basically you wanna take whatever one you like most and load it last, a lot of the damage mods can be staked like maim and the instant headshot mod for example you would load maim second to last and headshot damage last and you’d get the best of both worlds. Sometimes it doesn’t always work out but just mess with your load order.
I usually put stuff that sounds like it alters files or tweaks the game engine itself at the top, weather and hud/ui mods are second priority. Armor clothes weapons textures and stuff I put last in line unless the description of a mod says otherwise. Usually just trial and error and it’s important to read mod descriptions incase the mod author knows how to make their mod fit properly in the load order and says where to put it.
I can’t believe people like that grass mod … the original art is so great, it just adds a ton of ugly green to the game - green is a hard color to make right. To each their own.
I think it looks fine but never use it because it breaks immersion. A wasteland shouldn't be lush. 😂
@@5-VoltNah people worked out that by the point in the game all the foliage would have grown back, so most people use grass to make it more accurate.
It’s actually far more realistic to have everything overgrown, though I personally wouldn’t use that grass mod, way too bright but thankfully there’s a ton.
Hardcore Health Overhaul is really good.
Since the update, I've found that any mod affecting health pools causes random freezing

@perjacobsen8445 update: in the "latest" section, there's a mod called "no health scaling per level" or something like that, it's been updated to work with the newer version of the game
Just saying the first mod you talked about literally is in immersive gameplay 5. I've been using it and it makes survival survival. There's also patches to make the difficulty lesser. It has other stuff part of it as well like movement, companion fixes and an actually pretty fun perk tree. Yeah I understand it's not for everyone but when it comes in at under 8 megabytes and can do multiple things at once I'd rather use it. Plus survival is supposed to be difficult in my opinion. Real world survival you get Shot at your not just going to stand there and try to hit them back in the open. So why would you do it in a mode that tries to simulate said experience *btw this is by opinion I know real life differs from video games all I'm saying is I believe survival is meant to be played as a survival thing. Your a character coming out of a vault to find a trashed world so I meaaaan*

The Immersive Gameplay and Deadly Commonwealth mod won't install. It says, "This mod cannot be installed since it depends on files that aren't present." 🛠️❌
It would seem that this is just a patch for the mod and not the mod itself? I search the mod and it's the only thing that shows up. Xbox Series X.

A Brit commenting on realistic gunplay is just hilarious. I've put half a million rounds downrange in the past 3 decades, had military officer candidate training and have been in an actual gunfight, fending off an attempted home invasion.
2:13 Nice shooting, Tex. You know that modded or not, FO4 has bullet drop, right? Even in vanilla FO4, going in head on, guns blazing, is still a bad idea so IDK what that mod really does. Just making it more like FO76, a P2W crapfest that is now also lousy with griefers. Having the BGs hear you coming from a mile away and following you halfway across the map is really not realistic and exists in FO76 as a mechanic to force you to waste ammo and other resources so you either have a totally not fun grind or you pay for the resources to have a fun game. Going and borrowing code from FO76 and plugging it into FO4 is not impressive or necessary.
FO4 has plenty of difficulty in Survival mode.
Whether an enemy is a rank and file Raider or a boss really has no bearing on how well they can handle a gun. Hitler quite literally couldn't hit anything farther away than his own head and he was in charge of the whole fucked up show.
Beyond a point, added 'realism' just makes a game not fun (see Sim Earth). The food and water mechanics in FO76 are, again, designed to facilitate the P2W structure of the game. They are tedious and annoying and nobody wants to spend half their time in game doing things they do as part of their daily IRL tedium. As someone who has been coping with chronic pain for a couple of decades, adding pain mechanics to FO4 is just plain dumb and turns the game from a fun experience into a reminder of the daily torture I experience IRL. I play games to escape from that, not have more of it. Maybe making it take longer for a Stimpack to repair limb damage would be OK but most of what you show here is basically just too much for it to be entertainment. Only a masochist would play FO4 this way.
I'm getting an idea for a mod - during character creation, you jump into a test engagement with Raiders and it tests how well you can actually use a simulated firearm and employ sound tactics to set your skill level with firearms and heavily weight your accuracy in game based on that, whether you use VATS or not. It would be another way to squeeze in an AI mod where none is really needed. I would do my best to make the test reflective of your real world firearms skills. A Brit such as yourself would probably be best advised to stick to knives and cricket bats, lol.

MOST OF ALL YOUR CONSOLE MODS ON YOUR RECENT VIDEOS ARE NOT ON PS5. You should really make a video just for ps5. Cause I feel too many creators are slapping on ps5 knowing more than half of these are not even on that platform. Going through 5 videos, wanting to check 20+ mods, spending so much time trying different spellings and approaches only to find there’s like 5 that are on PS5. I understand some won’t be on there but there’s so little that are I feel you just slapped on ps5
