- What is the best load order in fallout 4 next gen update on Xbox, PS5 and PC. Load order is important to get mods to work correctly and with this guide you should have the perfect load order.
Load Order
1. Master Files: These are foundational mods that the game needs to read first before anything else. They automatically take the top spot in your load order.
2. Fast Start Mods: Mods that help you jump into the action quickly go here.
3. Faction Overhaul Mods: These mods revamp factions and may affect enemy level lists, determining what spawns where.
4. AI Overhaul Mods: Mods that enhance AI behavior find their place here.
5. New Worldspace Mods: Any mods introducing new areas or landmasses go in this section.
6. New Faction Mods: Mods adding entirely new enemy factions are listed here.
7. Vanilla Quest Edits: Fixes and improvements to the game's original quests are categorized here, although many of these are already covered by the unofficial patch.

If the mod does not tell you to place it somewhere don’t worry about it it’s not the cause of crashing that’s just how fallout 4 and Skyrim are designed they are unstable
Yea no, that’s not true lol. Especially for skyrim, u absolutely HAVE to place things in “groups” or risk frequent crashes. It’s the whole reason why ppl made google docs showing the best positions for mod genres

Great timing on the video since I'm starting a new load order for Fallout 4 on Xbox Series X and thank you.
Gotta say, been strugglin to made a load order for me.. but i think i did finally find the one, lmao, i didnt want to lose that lore friendly aspect, but wanted to add more to the game, so i added service rifle mod, ranger armor, ranger sequoia, and AMR plus attachments version 1, só i would see more guns, and give me a reason to use them. I pretend to make a enclave run this time, since they added new content, so ive added America rising 2 and some patchs for it for compatibility to the new content. For graphicsl, ive put enhanced lights and fx, vivid AIO, nac x and Clarity, and also some minor mods to help improve graphics, and hardcore Health overhaul, so the combat Will always be punishing. Gotta say, im lovin it!

@@omega9077 Mod organizer, and I believe it uses LOOT to sort your load order for you. But I can tell you that LOOT does what it wants and does not follow a structure like the one in the vid as far as I can tell.
Vortex doesn’t follow the recommended practices for Skyrim and I’m assuming for F4. My series X Skyrim load order runs better than my PC’s, i.e., no mods suddenly not working.

Can someone help me understand what category, and where in the load order, mods like "People Live In - Roadside Pines Motel" belong? Mods that edit a vanilla location without any quest or npc edits.
I downloaded a bunch of mods, graphic specifics without really looking at the descriptions and after enabling/disabling mods got the best looking game but now that I moved the mods I cannot for the life of me get the same look back. If I just uninstall the mods and reinstall them without moving them should they just revert to their original order (how they were upon first installment)
Can somebody please answer? If i reorganize my load order do I have to start a new game or safe to keep playing?
You dont have to start a new game, because you just changed the position of the mod. But be aware maybe some mods now conflict because you changed them. But if that happens just change the load order again.
I think I accidentally made the best load order, because my game literally doesn't crash, and I play it all day

rly hope you make a video on xbox mods but specfically modern weapons. i just got this game and really just wanna run around with a M4
Download the MK18 mod.
It's not specifically an m4 but if you like a good variety of weapons, I'd recommend downloading "MUNITIONS" and picking and choosing various mods that's associated with Degenerate Dak, they're all very high quality for low memory. Currently I've got about 14 of these weapon mods for under 350gb
Combined arms mod or modern combat mod Those give you modern weapons

I’m on Xbox and am struggling with random frame drops and stutters that last for up to 5 seconds of freezing, and extremely low FPS (15ish) in the fens outside diamond city and Boston. Heavily modded. Anyone else experience this?
Yep even modless games are suffering with this apparently. Mainly when entering new cells, leaving/entering Sanctuary, Concord etc. Some have said that not having the Unofficial Patch active helps but u still get the mini freezes, yep Todd strikes again.... 🙄
Same problem on Xbox sx and I'm playing on survival mode.. that feeling when game crashes in the middle of the quest 😅
@@sleepparalysis1284 I’ve had minimal crashes. I’ve narrowed my poor performance down to the building and shadow textures but using optimized textures hasn’t seemed to make a noticeable difference. Although my entire mod list is dedicated to settlement building
The unofficial patch is definitely a root cause of the severe freezing on my X so it is gone after testing it. The unofficial patch doesn’t affect my PS5 which has very minor stuttering in certain areas.
Would a mod that turns a faction location into a settlement or put a work bench in a faction location be a settlement change or a faction change?
Settlement change, it does not alter the faction itself, it Just adds a new settlement
What is "everyones best friend" mod technically? Is it ai overhaul or...?
It makes it so Dogmeat is not a companion. So, you can have a human npc and Dogmeat too. New Vegas and Fallout 3 are like that. But not in unmodded Fallout 4.
All this could be solved if Bethesda would just add a mod load organizer for the mod pages on console the same way the added on for creation club content

If you’re on Xbox clear your reserved storage. It will delete all your mods currently downloaded though.
I have a negative 2 million bytes of free space as well. I don't dare change my mods I'm afraid of getting screwed out of space.

Dumb question, i cannot find green in the commonwealth 3.0 only the 2.9, how do i look for it?
I dont think its been updated on xbox yet. I used a sbtle green mod. it added some green instead of all the green like green in the coonwealth. Some regrowth but not so much it looks like the bombs never dropped.
They really broke the search function. So try to use words that correlate to the same thing. I have 3.0 but it took me 2 hours to find it.

Aaand no matter what you do on Xbox youre still gonna have horrendous pauses everytime you enter a new cell, leaving Sanctuary? Games like "Ooh give me a couple of secs..." 300 metres down the road goin into Concord game like "Yep hang on a mo, let me get sorted..." Hopefully Beth will sort this out but im not holding my breath, seriously considering going back to Fo3 because at least that worked!

What? 2gb is the limit (total size of all mods installed) there is nothing to understand. That's the limit. Why the size limit? I don't know.
@@Robert-yt9pq Yeah I know that, what I meant is that I got this strange glitch that said I had -2 billion bytes which I think is equivalent to the 2 gigabytes. It’s on my part I worded it badly.
