I'm an American who started playing soc.....er futbol about 20 years ago. Came across the EPL one day on cable and was immediately hooked. Loved the passion of the fans, the rivalries, and the intensity of the game. Seemed like a real sport compared to the over-commercialized junk that sports had become in the U.S.
Sadly I can't watch EPL anymore. It's become the same mediocre crap as everything else that's marketed to the "prawn sandwich brigade".

I saw Vieira shrinking in front of the Keane onslaught and as Graham Poll called it all to order and the teams went out I said, "Nobody has kicked a ball yet but United are well on the way to winning this game". While everyone else (Spain, Germany, Brazil to name a few) were out there teaching their youngest technique and skills, the English were always picking the most physical to progress in the clubs! One of the best MU ever had in the squad and we really don’t give him enough credit for it. He was tough and fearless and a great inspiration for his teammates. He was the making of Ronaldo who was a junior player under him and gave him his philosophy of not falling over constantly and being resilient. Good on ya Roy!
