@@ManCaverTools I think ryobi does great I used to hate them and never used them until a couple years ago before I went to the shipyard I used to use them for work I’m carpentry and I enjoyed them if I got a carpentry job at my job I’d use them again!
Project Farm just tested socket adapters. Turns out the DeWalt socket adapter is the toughest on impact drivers, and Makita Gold when applying steady torque. Milwaukee bits did mediocrely considering their supposed to be top tier brand. Thought you should know since you break socket adapters a lot.
I love that Ryobi hammer drill. I have found it out performing similar Dewalt models. Because of that drill, I invested in the Ryobi line up for my DIY projects.
@theHPrendition Well, as much as Dewalt is considered pro grade, I've never had a good experience with their tools. For me they've always floated by the "home pro" tools.
@@ManCaverTools I'm waiting till my original ones die. Both companies make good tools. You really can't go wrong for 90 percent of work around your home.
I think Lowe's has some of the worse marketing in the world. The Kobalt is a great line of tools yet nobody knows about them. I agree with you I wish Ryobi had updated their tools instead of the HP line. I get it its Milwaukee 12v tools adapted to work on the 18v Ryobi battery platform. I bet if you tested the HP against fuel 12v they would just about tie in performance. Great video as always.
Great video mate. 👍 So for Christmas could we please see a Battle for the undisputed King of the drills and / impact Drivers 2020. 💪I know it would take time. But for all your loyal subscribers. 🙏 it will be awesome Christmas gift. Undisputed number 1. 😃🤴 🎄 🍻🥳
My same ryobi drill chuck failed on me. I think its before three years but cannot find my receipt. I cannot losen the chuck to release the brush attachment i was using to clean. Now its a permanent metal cleaning drill.
@@bulldog7659 yeah I've tried using vis grips. It just damages the thin metal housing. And just click slip sound. I believe it lock itself from the electric brake and it kept tighten itself. Yeah I'm on drill mode with the trigger locked. I'll probably cut it off and put a new chuck in when i want to waste time on it
Ryobi is a solid brand I just picked up the compact drill and impact. The new impact smokes my hp impact. Hoping the new hammer drill has a better handle though.
Just so you know. Speed 2 makes the drill significantly weaker at driving in fat screws. Speed 2 is just for if you’re building a deck or a barn and you need to drive 10,000 screws to speed up the process
Why didn't you use the newest and most powerful Ryobi hammer drill in this test? I own both drills, and the one type tested here is definitely a lesser drill of the two Ryobi.
Yeah I certainly agree MCT! Ryobi really needs to Upgrades/Updates their Brushless Hammer Drill! I'm looking at least 950in/lbs of Torque and more Blows per minute. Also Ryobi needs to upgrade all of their 18V HP Batteries as well! Now that the 3Ah HP battery is 21,700 Cells. Why not upgrade the rest of their batteries from 4AH HP with 21,700 cells, 6AH and 9AH batteries with 21,700 Cells as well. More Cells more compact in a Higher Amp Hour. Otherwise! I got other Options for a Cordless Hammer Drill, I saw the Worx 20V Max Brushless Hammer Drill the British calls it a Slammer Drill. It's like a Hybrid of a Hammer Drill and a Rotary Hammer Drill combined together on a Compact Drill Driver. That drill is Beast! But sad That drill is not available here in The USA, YET!.
@@ManCaverTools oh yeah! And now that the Christmas is coming! Man! I want a Pancake and Waffle Maker and a Mixer in a Cordless Tool! If Ryobi can build/make one! In a 18V Lithium Battery operated! Because that will be a great gift for my mom and my sister for Christmas! I hope Ryobi can make one of those.
Actually I have used the dewalt 997 hammer drill and used the dewalt sds and the 997 was slower than the sds and the sds had a slower hammer beats per minute
I was really going on ryobi. I know they catch a lot of shit and I'm no stranger to that but how could it be worse than a kobalt.. I refuse to think ryobi is less superior than kobalt 😂😂
Lol everyone that I know that has used them all say they are underpowered. People have tried to use them on a pro level and they all throw them away. My family used the air series and they all needed up tossing hem because of power issues.. Like., I love lowes.. I just don't like kobalt. They seem like a step above hf.. But again I'm a fan of Porter cable so I can't say much. I use Milwaukee and pc. The rest of my family uses either Milwaukee or makita.
kobalt has upped its game severely they are only 1 level below milwaukee imo but they're half the price of Milwaukee if i didnt own 500 dollars of milwaukee batteries i would have boughten into kobalt
I'm very impressed with my Ryobi tools. Every task I throw at them they do very well and haven't let me down.
It's not Ryobi's tools, it's their batteries. I've had so many go bad on me.
Ryobi came a long way so far and I think they should do more

@theHPrendition 😂what can I say its cheap and gets the job done around the house. For all my big stuff/work related I rely mostly on milwaukee

That does depend on what Dewalt drill. Dewalt does have the most powerful hammer drill out of all the other brands

So what is the difference between the the two they are basically the same size with the exception of the chuck
each company has a different built motor and material they build with
