- As in the original Tetris game, the player must place tetrominos into a playfield to create complete lines, which are then cleared from the playfield. Tetris Effect adds themes and music across thirty different stages with gameplay tied to the beat of the music. A new "Zone" mechanic allows players to "stop time", allowing the player to clear more than 4 lines at once, which is more than what is possible in conventional Tetris games. The game also includes a meta-game leveling system that leads to new challenges for players as they progress.

as someone who is use to playing fast, it hurt to watch this, but then i remembered, this is normal tetris and you dont need to go top speed LOL

@ninguart play online with others, play time modes, it's all about practice, it takes awhile,as of now, I am a fast player lol

@@ninguart play against harder opponents every now and then, yes you will keep losing, but soon you will notice their play style and will eventually get the hang of it
Watching that perfect set up to get an all clear get fumbled by one piece hurt me physically.

Would love to play this version of tetris but £30 is too much to pay for what amounts to glitzy tetris.

the game is amazing, and in vr it's even more amazing. it's also have good multiplayer and even cross platform so I could convince a playstation player to buy it and play with me

@@MoyanoJerald the game runs slower then most games in vr but that's probably because of a lot of particles. also don't underestimate the power required to run vr. it should be fine with slightly lower setting

Dude, trust me, Tetris Effect is legit. Once you get in the flow state, the game just plays itself and it gets insanely fast. It's like nothing else! Plus, if you're into competitive gaming, this game can get intense.
Don't knock it 'til you try it! This gameplay is just low level single player, if you wanna start somewhere I suggest get Tetris 99 for free if you have a Nintendo Switch online subscription, that game got me hooked on Tetris. It's battle Royale but with Tetris and if you manage to win you'll feel like king of the world lol.

They didn't try to fix it tbh. The same classic tetris still exists to this day and is still popular. They just tried giving tetris a new... perspective let's say and a new experience and they honestly did it properly
