    A true Human, down to Earth and not a sell out...the world would be a better place if there were more like you Iggy .... At Studio 54 in May of '78, after the Bowie concert at the Garden, I was the teenager who stepped on your foot while I was exicitedly dancing , you were sitting at the edge of the dance floor watching everyone and in my enthusiasm I didn't see you , I apologized and you were so gracious and kind ! I also remember Bianca Jagger flouncing around the dance floor in her black fluffy skirt, lol...You are a beautiful Soul, thank you for your Light, Peace to you always xoxoxo

    You can see Iggy's incredible vocal talent @ 7:52 mimicking Sinatra. Bowie saw Iggy's potential & a decade after producing his IDIOT & LUST FOR LIFE albums, pushed him into writing & singing more accessible pieces that would explore his vocal range & ability in a different fashion. Particularly, the 1986 album BLAH BLAH BLAH and 1993 album AMERICAN CAESAR feature songs like 'SHADES & HIDEAWAY' & 'BESIDE YOU & ITS OUR LOVE', respectively, designed specifically to showcase his vocal prowess

    I got beat up at his concert. Dragged five bouncers down a staircase. it was mistaken identity. They grabbed the wrong asshole. I ended up in a choke out hold thrown out on my head unconscious on the concrete. Came back up swinging and everything was spinning. I started laughing.. It was an honor. I also sued the club and won. My kids love that story. Iggy is a great performer. A very genuine guy. One of the greatest voices!

    Man I haven't had GREAT acid since like 96/97. It's almost impossible to find any GOOD stuff anymore. At this point in my life I wouldn't mind a trip or 2 a year. The Pickard bust in 02 must've really cut off the supply. Always thought it was bullshit the amount the dea claimed those dudes were supplying, but it seems to have put a dent in things. Bring back the great chemists dammit! Where's a young Shulgin or Owsley when you need em lol.

    Iggy about to lose it again....thankfully after 2000 he got his rightful due as an elder statesman of rock....and got financial secure...even though his live performances never lost that edge, his post 70's recordings seldom managed to capture his 70's intensity. Arsenio is an ass though.....

    • @misterslats
      @misterslats 2 года назад +1

      @@PAULLONDEN Yeah Jones backed Iggy on the previous Instinct record and tour. My friend and fellow Calgary resident Whitey Kirst played guitar on Brick By Brick, Naughty Little Doggie, and several others. Whitey wore his Calgary Flames jersey (flaming C) on this show out of pride for his hometown NHL team. Yes Steve Jones had long curly Nugent hair in the late 80's and early 90's. As did Whitey. Whitey is a good friend of Jonesy's too.
