I hated it so bad and couldn't understand why his show was cancelled. It was the best talk show ever!!! That said, one of the reasons was having people like Little Richard on the show! Start to Finish! Singers had pure talent back then! Boy! Some you would hate to be Next! Not like today. They cry their way to the top! Along with sad stories! These Black Men and Women back then went through Pure Hell!! You wouldn't know it. But, they performed anyway! They had themselves and Families to take care of! Had their Dignity and livelihood stripped from them at times! But somebody prayed for them! Whether Parents or Grandparents. Saints and Friends! Etc. This Pandemic is no accident! Around the Globe there have been a lot of Injustices! Going on. I believe if it's not your time to go! You definitely will still be here! I pray for Families who have lost love ones! Blow the dust off Our Bibles! And dig into the precious Word of God! To get those Nuggets of the Wisdom of God! Where the True Treasures to Life! Are there for the Taken! Mr. Richard knew a lot about God! He knew like the Rest of us! He wasn't going to stay out there long! Because God was in his Ear and eventually in his Heart! Our Mothers always would always call us! By our first name! When it was time to come home! Richard! Richard! Hey baby! It's time to come in. Come on Home baby! That voice of assurance. She always with a Smile! Would kiss your face! Hug you forever tight! How you doing baby? Mama loves you!! God was no different to Mr. Richard! And eventually to all of us! I hear him calling! Excuse me! Love is calling!

I am absolutely heartbroken on the passing of the true King of Rock 'N Roll, the one and only, Little Richard. A huge influence on me but also an unsung civil rights giant as during a time of great division in America and extreme racism towards the African American Black Community, Little Richard pioneered the way for a black man in elevating the Blues and Rock into the mainstream of White America but still loved performing to integrated crowds. His raw stage presence and energy, not to mention his vocal range, power and musicianship dwarved the likes of Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis. They all performed each others songs, as most Rock 'N Rollers did, but Little Richard stood head and shoulders above them all. May you Rest in Peace you absolute legend!
I've been searching for this clip for 30 years. I watched it LIVE and became unglued at this performance. The backing band, all white guys, killed Lucille. This is Richard's best performance of "Lucille" Downloaded it for safe keeping. Truly The Father of Rock and Roll.
I'm a big fan of Elvis Presley and Little Richard and little Richard should have been called the KING OF ROCK N ROLL because Elvis himself called him the king,Elvis never liked being called that.He always said there is only one king and that's THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.RIP little Richard you were surely a LEGEND.
Black people made America an attractive place if it wasn't for blacks people would have been sick America a century ago like they're getting sick of it now
Amen. I believe this was one of his better performances. So electrifying and sentimental in his rendition of his song dedicated to his mother. Wow. I love and respect this guy. So glad he gave his life to the Lord. 💯💞💯💞🇯🇲🇯🇲
I don't know what made me look little Richard up, but I swear I loved his originally and sense of humor. He spoke truth all throughout his life time as the original person he presented himself to be.
I saw him at a gas station one night in Tullahoma, TN. I was pumping my gas, and looked up and he was in the shadows smiling at me. I think he was waiting to see if I would recognize him. When I did, he walked away. Always wish I would have gotten an autograph!! RIP, Sir!!! ☺️💜
An American classic. Rose to levels no one could have expected of a black man growing up in the 1950's south. Iconic. Irreplaceable. The real King of Rock and Roll. If anyone thought Heaven was rockin' and rollin' before...just think what it's like now. RIP Little Richard.

#RIP Little Richard. The real KING of Rock and Roll.
Little Richard was AHEAD OF HIS TIME!!! RIP.
RIP to a man of great courage and talent. I hope your journey is smooth and peaceful ❤️🙏
Legend. He could tear your heart out with a gospel melody. Seconds later you're dancing in the aisles.
They don't make musicians like this anymore...RIP to The Great Little Richard 🎹🎼
Your Music will live forever....🎶
"They " never did🙏🏻🙄
God , Supreme Lord , made us.

Little, Richard music was ,The first, one and only, Rock and Roll. Elvis, Presly, Tbe Beattles and The Rolling-Stones. And the rest is History. R. I. P. Little-Richard. Thank you. 20/20
Little-Richard, Always kept it Real. And he was good looking and he knew it.
As irrelevant as it is, I am white, and I came to watch this because of Little Richard... I've watched very little TV, but what little I have, Arsenio Hall is my favorite talk show host ever!!! I hated it so bad and couldn't understand why his show was cancelled. It was the best talk show ever!!! That said, one of the reasons was having people like Little Richard on the show! Where so many kept interrupting Little Richard, he helped him express what was on his mind, and added so much to the interview! One of my favorites!!!
RIP. A little more soul in heaven today.
Little Richard was absolutely correct. They always disrespected him. He was who he say he was, Architect of Rock n Roll. Crazy ppl is going to ruin The U.S. he is right. He did a shout out to his Spouse Ernestine too.
I can almost guarantee that the main reason was that he was Black. And him being gay the secondary reason.
Despite the disrespect he received, he lived long enough to see his influence on the next generations. He had way more positive impact on music, and his attitude was amazing.
I agree
RIP WILL MISS YOU
"No place like home" RIParadise Mr. Richard...you get to kiss and hug your mom again ❤
I forgot how much I love this man. He makes laugh so hard. He's my kind of people.
At 9:00 he started talking about Freedoms being under attack , this Man was before his time in many ways !
"There are some people that are just devils but call themselves Christians." Realest thing ever said.
He's speaking the truth and believe you me, I know plenty of people who are like that, especially in my hometown, but I still do me and live my life for me

Arsenio's show was a breath of fresh air in the smog of late night at the time. I love how Little Richard was talking to the audience the whole time. No one does that.
He never turned away from the camera while performing. Always looked directly at audiences
This guy was larger than life in every capacity....so talented...funny...articulate...fantastic...💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Little Richard is one of a kind....the best comedic line I've heard in a lifetime..."I`m not conceited....I'm convinced!" LMFAO! Little Richard, you are magic in a bottle! Your legacy will live on forever! RIP Little Richard! You Will Be Missed For Eternity!!!

@@paulacampos276 LMFAO! Put Little Richard and Elvis in the same room with my grandmother they would have been raped
This man spoke the truth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can listen to him all day !!!!! He is just amazing !!! I hope your in heaven preaching your word !
Now thats a REAL performer
God was dealing with this man then! It's a process! Hilarious he was! I see Prince, Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, etc. The fashion and the styles! The Musical Genius and the Artistry! The True Pioneer! Mr. Richard said Pat Boone stole so much of his music! He would have to switch up many times! One thing most will agree! He wasn't Boring! You got your money's worth!
I would never be insensitive to that! The Bible talks about. There's a Appointed time for ALL of us to leave here! We just don't know When, Where, and How? The best investment any of us could make!
L
Yes!
Yes and I pray I'll see him in heaven someday. What a delightful soul. So beautiful.
The song for his mother was heart felt. He loved country music and performed it well
Thanks for this! That song for his momma was beautiful..never knew he sang songs like that. Now he's back with his momma, in the presence of God..he found Jesus..
Amen!
Amen❤
he was really something else
Always was a breath of fresh air ---- fun guy
Mannnn I wish I could’ve met this man 💔
Richard is the GOD OF ROCK N ROLL!
The god of rock n roll is Pe Lanza, of Restart Band!
Nope NEVER a god
The important thing is he gave his heart to God. You should watch his final testimony.
@@dwevors i watched it. It's crazy because in this interview with Arsenio he believes the freedom is about let the people being themselves with no interference. In his final interview, it was very deep, but he was focus on preach, not teach the truth. Even if he was very deep as a religious person, he impacted more lives as a musician because he was himself, and the musicians after him focus on being themselves too. He was religious, but he knew the truth and freedom with music and his career, not religion.
@@JoshTheTechnoShaman Nope.
What a gifted man ,extremely articulate , bold, and hilarious.
Little Richard deserved every single award he got and and a bunch he didn't and I miss him R.i.P. Little Richard.
My favourite interview with Lr.
This is Lr in his element...being his true self...Sounding fabulous at age 57
Love this guy. He is so natural, so free and honest
RIP my friend
Hello dear,how are you doing?
This will always be one of my favorite shows. The Arsenio Hall Show .
Makes me respect Arsenio even more. No other talk show host at the time would have turned over their show to Little Richard and he deserved it.
Come back arsenio He had some great ones on his show.. Where is arsenio?. Does he know he's missed?.where ever you are arsenio thank you. This clip' going in my library file. Love and respect, neita j.:-) .
I would love to go back to those days 💗
Wow. He could make a piano talk. Rest in peace Richard.
RIP brother. THE father of Rock ‘n Roll. 😊
Rest in heaven, Mr. Richard. We’ll always love you and your music ❤️😎🌟🎶🎤🎹🙏
This is really sad to loose Little Richard... May God have mercy on his soul!
He was such a gem. Rest In Peace 🙏
I've been searching for this clip for 30 years. I watched it LIVE and became unglued at this performance. The backing band, all white guys, killed Lucille. This is Richard's best performance of "Lucille" Downloaded it for safe keeping. Truly The Father of Rock and Roll.
R.I.P. Little Richard aka legend aka icon there will never be another.
Thank you so much for posting this interview on the true Architect of Rock & Roll on the Arsenio Hall show.
THE KING, END OF DISCUSSION....NOW, SHUT UP!
Yes!!!
I read this in his voice 😂 rip Little Richard
Hilarious
Black people made America an attractive place if it wasn't for blacks people would have been sick America a century ago like they're getting sick of it now
I don't know how he was able to scream like that and his voice never failed!!
Luv his character
Little Richard threw it down on "The Arsenio Hall" show.
Amen.
I believe this was one of his better performances.
So electrifying and sentimental in his rendition of his song dedicated to his mother.
Wow. I love and respect this guy.
So glad he gave his life to the Lord.
💯💞💯💞🇯🇲🇯🇲
35 years after the fact..and the guy rocks the joint.....woduurfulll..
I don't know what made me look little Richard up, but I swear I loved his originally and sense of humor. He spoke truth all throughout his life time as the original person he presented himself to be.
I loved Little Richard, since I was 4 year old. I was born in 55 RIP
Little Richard
Hello dear,how are you doing?
I saw him at a gas station one night in Tullahoma, TN. I was pumping my gas, and looked up and he was in the shadows smiling at me. I think he was waiting to see if I would recognize him. When I did, he walked away. Always wish I would have gotten an autograph!! RIP, Sir!!! ☺️💜
Hello dear,how are you doing?
The world called Elvis Presley the king but do you know when Elvis Presley met Little Richard he called him the king
Rockn Roll Genius the King of Rockn Roll hands down.
To bad he didn't get his true accolades and acknowledgment. I have always loved watching Little Richard the King of Rock and Roll! Period!
What a lovely fella, would liked to have had him as a friend. Life would have been so funny. RIP big man.
An American classic. Rose to levels no one could have expected of a black man growing up in the 1950's south. Iconic. Irreplaceable. The real King of Rock and Roll. If anyone thought Heaven was rockin' and rollin' before...just think what it's like now. RIP Little Richard.
The God of Rock ‘n’ Roll Music 🎶🙏🏻📀🎹🎸🎤
Yes he is.
Phenomenal singer and pianist! King of Rock n' Roll!
"Crazy people are gonna run this country"
I feel u on dat sadly😢
I remember watching this. I literally remember exact things he said. I had just graduated from high school and was up watching Arsenio. At that time, you’d tape Arsenio on the VCR and I remember watching it the next day.
I was 5, 6, and 7 and use to love staying up for Arsenio. I swear Freddy Kruger came on earlier that night
@@kenny808kine8 Ha! Freddy Kruger was another staple of the late 80's and early 90's that everyone remembers.
