Transfer of Power from James Callaghan to Margaret Thatcher

As a Parliamentary Democracy and Constitutional Monarchy, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland goes to Buckingham Palace to see the Queen for power to be transferred.
