When I am shooting someone and I get them pretty low on hp, I try to blink melee. But it seems like I'm going right through them, I can't seem to land that blink melee. Any advice? Oh, fyi I just subscribed. Thank you.
It takes a lot of practice. I'd try sitting in a workshop and continuing to practice them. What I do is hit both buttons at the same time and really focus on where I'm looking and where I'm moving to. Melee actually has a pretty big area for hit registration, so try blinking from farther away. Since you blink straight thru enemies, you have to be at max blink distance when you do it. Make sure that there's enough space. Its hard to get used to the blink distance but if you keep forcing yourself to practice it you'll learn it.

Depends on which tank it is. Mostly what you want to do is harass them, force their cooldowns, and get away from them because you can really do much about them unless the rest of your team is shooting them too. A big thing you should do too is chase certain tanks like doom, ball, and dva. This will force them to use cooldowns to get away from you and it stops them from getting value or trying to dive your backline
This was actually very helpful! I took around 2.5 years off the game and I’m nowhere near my old game, what are your settings? I also play on console and I’m just looking to try something new :)
You know someone's gonna ask this: Tracer settings for console? More specifically, how are your Tracer settings different from your settings for other full-auto hitscan heroes like Soldier, Sojourn, Sombra, etc? I ask this because playing Tracer requires an interesting mix of tracking (easier with lower sens) and snapping (easier with higher sens). Also I'm not asking this because I want settings to blindly copy lol. I know that this type of question gets asked a lot because people think that settings will automatically elevate their skill. They won't. I'm just trying to get a good starting point for figuring out my own settings.
I got my settings here ruclips.net/video/wMXDrw9TL9I/видео.html but the only difference that I have from my other hitscans is that my aim smoothing is higher than normal. Normally I run 0 smoothing but because its really important to track with tracer I have it on 15. This is so its not too different from what I normally run and it still lets me snap on a target fast. Im more or a flick type player than a tracker so having the higher aim smoothing helps me out a lot
@@Demigodson That makes sense, thanks so much for the detailed explanation! I can tell that you have a really good understanding of the game, as well as a really good understanding of how to communicate what you know.
Yo this video is really informative and fun to watch but I have a few questions How do I 1v1 sombra because if she gets a hack on me im already dead because I can't recall nor can I fight back. My next question is how do I become less predictable because sometimes when ever im flanking they already know where I am althought even tho I make sure I use vertical blinks and to crouch to hide my footsteeps. Beside from those two questions I have great video man you earned yourself a sub I would also love to see an echo guide next if possible 👍
1. In a sombra 1v1 its gonna have to depend on if you can react fast enough to her hack. If she starts to hack you, you have 2 options. Either shoot her to break the animation, or blink in a direction that forces her to move her crosshair (preferably in a direction thats perpendicular of her LOS). That'll stall the hack and you can turn and shoot her. In a 1v1 don't try to kill her its not gonna happen. Just try to force her to tp out so she's out of the fight for a moment. Also it is part of your job to protect your team from the sombra so try and single her out when she appears. When shes on a healthpack id suggest getting your team to help you before commiting to that duel because its gonna be hard to kill her. 2. Switch where you come from every fight, its gonna be obvious if you keep coming from the same direction. Also if one of their dps know exactly how you play, you should switch your target. Start diving the backline instead or the other dps. And if none of this works you gotta give up on flanking and play more of a duelist focused playstyle. If you cant flank you gotta find a way to still get value.
Thanks man I'll start to apply this advice to my games,I really appreciate you for answering our questions and give us some ways to work on and improve our gameplay🙏
im a reaper main but tracer is my second best hero, and because of the nature of the character and her pretty much infinite skill ceiling, it kinda makes her my "best character" since reaper is just a worse character than tracer.
but i do highly highly highly recommend putting in the time to get good at her, shes always meta and is reliable in almost every situation. she's crucial to the dps role and everyone should learn how to play her, or atleast get a feel for what you're supposed to do on her. putting in the time into tracer is probably the best hero in the game to invest time into.
How do you spin fast enough to do the 180 blink melee in this part of the vid 8:11 I have my sens and other settings exactly like yours and still can’t consistently do it in training and practically can’t do it in actual matches. Is there like a trick to it or is it just based on chance?
in that clip technically I wasnt even turned around enough to hit that, but its not random chance or a sens thing in that clips case. I hit that because melee lingers for like a second in overwatch. when you melee theres a period of time where if the target is in front of you it will automatically do the damage to the target. you can try it out in the practice range with the two bots next to eachother. when you melee and turn between the bots it will hit both of them because melee isnt an instant input its a small period of time after the animation.
I play on console and so to hear that your also a console player also helps me with "confindece" Confindece in quotes because it hsouldn't really give me confince but it does.
im a diamond tracer, but I have to say that my aim (im also console player here) always is screwed after not playing her for a while. And then im always a bit uncomfortable picking her. As a result i stop playing her for so long, my aim on her gets worse, as i never want to get my team to get a disadvantage with me running tracer. But when I do play her, and keep maining her for a while again, i become quite good again, but its always a struggle for me to get used to her again after playing other heroes
You switch because you cant really get in at all. Theres no opportunity to get close or single anyone out so you should switch to someone whos better against grouped up enemies like hanzo, cass, reaper, junk, sym, anything like that
Cuz tracer is underpowered the enemy that don’t ever play tracer love to see a tracer on the enemy team they know they have a 10x easier time than tracer does
not a stupid question btw, a big part of it is finding that sensitivity that works the best for you but really the only way to get good at aiming is to just play the game. it sounds stupid but its the truth playing more will make you improve as long as you are taking the game seriously.
For console gameplay i recently noticed my L3 was interract and I had toggle crouch on circle. I tried having interract in circle and hold crouch on L3, my god it was so much better
Ty was just wondering is distracting a dps and healer for 30 secs while nothing else dies I get a pick then die and team is dead am I doing things wrong?
in that situation i would call it out that im doing that, but if they arent getting value out of it, then you need to change up your playstyle. I would play more with my tank and listen for his calls or just dive whoever he is focusing, or find my own flanks and duels on dps that i can actually get a pick off of. If none of that works then you should switch to something that the team would be better off with based on how theyre playing. If they arent pushing in off of your distraction then you should probably switch to someone like ashe or cass just to poke with them. Always look to see if your play is getting some sort of value for the entire team, if its not then you gotta just switch to someone else, despite if youre distracting them correctly or not.
I got a question, and I appreciate anyone's answer, not just from Demigodson. I am completely new to Overwatch in general, and Tracer fits my playstyle the most. I'm held back a bit by myself being worried to play bad, to not get kills, to you know... be a newbie which I am. So my question is (and also because I'm mostly playing alone), should I just ignore any toxic behaviour and just play however I want? I also don't intend to do ranked until I feel like I'm actually getting good. I just want to have fun without worrying about screwing up.
I mean I wouldn't completely ignore it. It does suck a lot when people are just mad toxic and unhinged, but they do get mad for a reason. Don't take whatever they say personally or take it by heart because being that angry at a game is crazy. Sometimes they get mad because youre doing something wrong and you should recognize what youre doing in your gameplay thats making them mad. Itll help you recognize the flaws in your gameplay. So try to take it in an educational way and dont let whatever they say get to you.
@@Demigodson Thank you very much for the reply! Of course I would listen to those telling me what went wrong. I'm mostly just afraid of straight up toxic and insulting because I'm new to the game. But I'll do my best and also keep your tipps from the video in mind. :D
You can learn from the really toxic people too, its less of a focus on what their input is but rather why theyre acting like that. Them being toxic is more of a sign that somethings wrong, whenever something like that happens just focus on yourself dont let them in your head. But yeah, I will confess I don't play outside of recording because I really don't like the community. It's really hateful for no reason, and it just doesn't made it fun to play. I wish we were all chill people take the game too seriously nowadays, in a bad way.
What do you do when your a burnt out player tho.Yeah I play tracer and all but ever since overwatch 2 came out I have been getting slower and slower,It’s really getting to me really:( . Any tips? Because you sound like you know what you are doing.
2 ways to deal with burn out. 1. you could take breaks from the game, play something else or do anything besides playing games to cool down and then come back. excessive playing will lead to burnout so whenever you feel that you're not playing as well just take a break. 2. have fun. play something on overwatch that isnt serious and is just for having fun. play with friends in custom games or whatever. you will feel a lot better and play a lot better if you're having fun. always playing to win is kinda miserable and will also lead to burnout because you're constantly trying to win games. so go in a custom game or play with some friends, and then hop back into queues with a better mindset.

You switch because you cant really get in at all. Theres no opportunity to get close or single anyone out so you should switch to someone whos better against grouped up enemies like hanzo, cass, reaper, junk, sym, anything like that
@@Demigodson Thanks! Thats perfect cuz I’m a hanzo main 😂
Watches tracer guide to get better at tracer. The tracer guide: “switch off of tracer”
Cuz tracer is underpowered the enemy that don’t ever play tracer love to see a tracer on the enemy team they know they have a 10x easier time than tracer does
Can you make a guide on how to 1v1 against Kiriko, Genyi and even Tracer?
Mind if i could ask how do u track so good thats what im having trouble with
not a stupid question btw, a big part of it is finding that sensitivity that works the best for you but really the only way to get good at aiming is to just play the game. it sounds stupid but its the truth playing more will make you improve as long as you are taking the game seriously.
@Demigodson ty bro just a shame no one talks or listened when sloke to nicely ty tho
Thank you.
What are all of your tracer settings if you don’t mind sharing? I’m a console tracer and I’m trying to get to masters lol

2. have fun. play something on overwatch that isnt serious and is just for having fun. play with friends in custom games or whatever. you will feel a lot better and play a lot better if you're having fun. always playing to win is kinda miserable and will also lead to burnout because you're constantly trying to win games. so go in a custom game or play with some friends, and then hop back into queues with a better mindset.
what is your sens
I know, it has been long time. But you didn't leave settings on Tracer.
I play on console and I would be know your settings
