I'm so excited! I just ordered this model as my first ever mixer and I'm expecting it today! I'm almost 53 and have been using a hand held mixer my whole life. I got the black one to match the rest of my appliances because who doesn't love a gorgeous black color 🖤🖤 But what I think I'll really love about this is that not only will it give me more consistency but it will be so much easier for me since I have major arthritis throughout my body including my hands. This is going to make baking so much more fun 😊 Thank you for showing me what I have to look forward to! ❤
I went to a second hand store a few days ago and scored one of these for 20 bucks and a KitchenAid Burr coffee grinder for 7 bucks. These things are heavy duty and I love the aesthetic. KitchenAid is boss AF.
@@sashineb.2114 So you probably have one of the last real KitchenAid products. Now they are just Whirlpool with a premium name on it, most of it made in China.
@@Tom-sg4iv My KitchenAid ProLine from 1989 was built with Hobart specs. In the 90s, Whirlpool changed their methods. My mixer runs like a cement mixer. I have read lots of bad reviews for the current KA mixers, including the new 7 quart Redesigned Touch Points mixer. I guess people don't mind paying good money for a pretty appliance even if it is cheaply made.
Just bought the KitchenAid Profesional 5 plus series 5 quart Bowl Lift Stand Mixer. Best Buy has it on sale for $279.99 from $449.99. What I saving Best Buy has! I been wanting to buy one of this baby for the longest time (15 years at least) but for some reason never did. Just so glad I bought mine. Thanks for a great video and will try to make one or two of your recipes.
Now that's a deal. 15 years? Glad you got it. You will definitely enjoy it. It makes my lofe sonmich easier. Now i can whip cream without babysitting it like i did with my hand mixer
Thank you for sharing. For years i have dreamed of purchasing a KitchenAid mixer and i finally did, On the KitchenAid webpage they listed several offers and i went with a refurbished model. I love making breads, rolls, biscuits so i know i am going to have a lot of fun in four days when it arrives home.
I've been using that kitchen aid stand mixer for 6 months now, and I love it so much. It was on sale and we got a good deal from Sam's club. Worth the money!
I loved your review and your enthusiasm! Are you still liking it? I’ve wanted to try it but people have said it’s loud but this didn’t seem so. Thank you so much for the video and taking the time!
Can’t decide if this or artisan is best for us. We don’t make very large batches. This video did help sway a little. I do like ease of artisan hinge though for ease of adding amd also attaching parts
so I did it! I kept thinking of your video and how much you loved your mixer and I just ordered one! you sold me lol,, you should get some credit or something from Kitchenaid haha...Im so excited that I did this, thanks again for this review. I just loved it and your enthusiasm..
I wanted white but it was at least 4-6 week wait and another $100 I’m not sure why it would be more. But after your video I couldn’t wait lol. Thanks so much for taking the time for the video and replying!
That is the exact color I have been looking at. Just wondering if they are guaranteed since Hobart sold the company....? Did it have a warranty when you opened it??
you can buy a flex edge beater attachment also KitchenAid secure fit pouring shield for yo KitchenAid professional 5 stand mixer so u won't have to scrape the bowl and flour r liquid getting on yo stand mixer.
Hi, I received this mixer bur I don’t have the edge beater and couldn’t find one to match this one. So it has to be for proffessional 5 plus, 5 quarter, bowl lift. Maybe you can help me with an amazon link
well I got an ink blue because I ordered right from kitchenaid and it was a refurbished one. someone said once it was ok to go for that and actually good so Im trying it out. its a same one year warranty and the video showed they redo them like new, go through them piece by piece make sure they are ok.. I would have liked a white one but they only come in the bigger size and thats too big for just me and my husband and when I bake for grandkids lol.. so Im so excited, its to be here tomorrow. Im not sure what you mean by kitchenaid needed to be tagged? Im not that good with this stuff. I just get by..
It was between a red and white one for me but since i already have red acents it was easier to pick the bold red color. Great to know they come with 1 year warranty. Thank you for taking ur time to comment
I made 1 batch of all the things I made. I haven't whisked like 1 egg quite yet (if thats what you mean by small amounts). This particular model is for people who make bigger batches so I'd look into the artisan if I were you.
There is an optional 3 Qt bowl with a beater called a “Combi-Whip” created for full size Mixers such as this Pro 5 Plus and Pro 600 and I have a Pro 600 model along with my 4.5 Qt Deluxe Tilt Head Model. I don’t have the Combi-Whip yet but I’m looking into getting it soon.
You always, always have to scrape down the bowl regardless. Until the day KitchenAid comes out with a self scraping stand mixer, it's one of those little inconveniences we all have to put up with.
2:32 Ok, I'm not the governor of the nanny state but please if you have to hold the wisk like that when attaching it unplug the mixer. Ya ok it's one in a million chances but dont br the 1 in a million that loses their fingers. I'm assuming it really easily overlooked.
Finally found a review that actually shows the machine in use👍
Thats what a review should be

They are boss and timeless. You got a great deal for sure. Enjoy the many recipes you gonna be making with it
Good for you. I've had my KitchenAid mixer for 33 years now, still going strong.

Thanks for the review. I just opened the box and needed to know how to stabilize the bowl. You answered that and more!😊

Thank you so much Sophie,
I STILL love it. Not loud to me at all. The sound doesn't stand out to me at all. It's amazing. Wish I bought it earlier

I’ve read that when starting dough use paddle first then switch to dough hook maybe that will help with flour?

It has been one of the best euipmemts ive owned.
Does it mix small amounts well?

your heavy breathing in the video is very concerning and sort of distracting.
