It's always so good when you see this kind of spontaneous jam where people are smiling and having fun :) I loved it! I am a drummer and the cajon guy was great but many many compliments to the ukulele dude, you are the kind of guitarist every drummer would love to jam with :)
Just amazing! So nice to see two musicians really enjoy themselves, If only more people could show an iota of the mutual respect they did. Change the world, one beat at a time!
It is a custom built Uke. It is slightly longer than a tenor uke, but not as long as a Baritone. It is strung like a tenor (re-entrant tuning) so without getting a custom job, the tenor uke is the closest to what he plays.
Sweet sounds. I teach music and just got my first cajon, can't wait to get into it. Many of my students are preschool age. Those bongo cajons look about the right size for 2-5 year olds. You ever play one of those? Any recommendations for kids?
Thanks Fran. Yep I've played bongo cajons, they're fun but do note they don't have the snare sound you hear on the cajon played in this video. For children you may want to try the Meinl Make Your Own Bongo Cajon - they sound great for the price (~$25 bucks)
I saw this video first yesturday and im sure of that i listened to this atleast 45 times! Awsome cajo playing, ukele so cool to :) What cajon do you use?
On a tough day, this is so uplifting--dancing like a child, I am. I want to surprise my love with the Mario Cortes black and white cajon but could only find it in Europe. Anyone know of a US seller?
Nice!, You guys rocks. We also have a Cajon, guitar & ukulele in our regular jamming session. We will be happy , if we have only half your skills. You are welcome my latest you tube upload. Thank you for sharing.
Cajon is a peruvian instrument created by afro descendants in the coast of Peru it is hard to trace its exact date but sometime probably in the 17 th century
This would have been much better if they would have removed the strings from the Cajon. The natural sound of the Cajon (without the strings) would meld much better with the delicate sound of the Ukulele.
Please don't get me wrong - no pun intended. The cajon player plays very good, rhythmic, in time and all ... I only feel he dominates the performance instead of supporting it. Might be due to an unbalanced mix, though ...
Yeah,I feel sorry for the brother,he seems like a nice kid --- should take some lessons, and learn how to play the cajon the right way-- he should check-out Ultra High Flamenco -- that would help him--truly amazing how many people like that video--

beautiful stuff.
Thanks for the info!
The silent Ukulele sound suffers from another Cajon player who can't help but beating the sh*t out of his box ;)
On a tough day, this is so uplifting--dancing like a child, I am. I want to surprise my love with the Mario Cortes black and white cajon but could only find it in Europe. Anyone know of a US seller?

Cajon is a peruvian instrument created by afro descendants in the coast of Peru it is hard to trace its exact date but sometime probably in the 17 th century
It's great, thanx, boyz!
Nice!

Yep it's held strong for over 6 years, no problems whatsoever. Didn't buy mine from the site so I can't speak to that.
Very fun : )
from thailand ♥
the instrument is the "cajón" and is Peruvian
excelente!!! :)
what kind of cajon is this? string? snare? i can't get my string cajon to have a nice bass and snare sound without the bass sounding raspy.

@TheSimonesie Wow that's amazing...I'm his cousin...does that make me your aunt?
Was the song Jake playing all improv? Or was it an actual song? Because in part 2 he plays songs that I recognize but I don't recognize this one
great! :D
When people ask me what my favorite flavor of jam is...
i think, if you don't know how to play cajon, no matter which model you'll buy :)))

Domonic LBTV Jake plays a Tenor size Uke by Kamaka all Koa wood. I have one and the intonation and tone is simply amazing!

Jake shoulda used an electric. Cajon guy overpowers. Still sweet stuff.

Please don't get me wrong - no pun intended. The cajon player plays very good, rhythmic, in time and all ... I only feel he dominates the performance instead of supporting it. Might be due to an unbalanced mix, though ...
Fast Hand.
The peruvian cajón dosn't have the snare sound... That one is a flamenco cajón.
es un cuatro Venezolano para que no cometas el mismo error.....
????????????????????ß waht)) que es eso??
Yeah,I feel sorry for the brother,he seems like a nice kid --- should take some lessons, and learn how to play the cajon the right way-- he should check-out Ultra High Flamenco -- that would help him--truly amazing how many people like that video--
