Inverting the colors on the image looks really fantastic (especially for the spaceship and lasers)! Also, starting with the full image and using it as a reference and/or starting with the end image and erasing then reversing the footage are both very clever Michael. Thank you. This was great! : )
Just note the comment Paul van Sommeren left: "If you invert the colours, then do a 180* hue shift you get your original colours back!" I really wish I had thought of that.
@@MichaelParks Ah, that's brilliant. That's one of the coolest things about doing RUclips videos... I get schooled in the comments all the time. : ) Keep up the great work!
I love this! I have seen the app versions, and they are catchy. I agree though, the hand-made look adds to it, and inverting the colors makes it even better! 👏 I also love that you used a pole from a cat scratcher...too funny.
Can you show us how this can be used for character animation? It is hard to imagine this for character animation. Also you make the greatest tutorials, so any excuse to see your work.
Draw, erase what is moving, onion skin, rince and repeat. You could also erase everything at each frame, but it takes more time and the character will be wobbly, which can be a style of animation or can be used to show some emotions.
I was going to do that in the tutorial, but it seems like doing straight-up 2D character animation would be much easier are more practical in an app like FlipaClip.
How would I go about making a set that is primarily made out of, (what should look like,) sand? But I want that clay character to be able to sit on it.
I would first fully build the chair with wood or foam-board base, then get the sand shape using drying or baked clay, and then get the texture of the sand my painting the chair with glue and sprinkling and onto it. I'm guessing it would need a few layers of sand, and then an additional layer or two of glue to hold it down.
I’m tuning in just made my first puppet transitioning from gaming to claymation
This is the coolest stop motion tutorial video, ever. 😺👍
No it isnt. Grow up and get paid.
@@thegiantratthatmakesalloft9415 grow up get paid? The fuck are you talking about?

Aw man, you are so completely correct!

A good tutorial..... something that I have been looking for.

@@MichaelParks Seems reasonable. However if you don't have that, then would it be helpful to have alternative options?
@@showman139 Well yes, it would be an alternative option. I would personally go back to a stack of paper, but the whiteboard would work, too.

@@MichaelParks ahh, thanks so much man, I'll do that!

Good idea. Okay. I teach a class on Sound for Animation, but I wasn't sure if there would be an interest in a tutorial. I'm starting in on one today.
