Animation changer wasn't working for my boot video. It was changing my suspend video instantly but I needed to ALSO hit the steam button and go to settings > customize and select the boot video there as well as the decky plugin to make it work.
random question here but I can’t get spiderman remastered to run on the steam deck. It played great at first, now it crashes a few moments into playing everytime. I’ve lowered settings and tried your proton GE video but nothing seems to help. Would anyone happen to know what’s up here?
Maybe validate the integrity of the files. Something may have got corrupt. Also try proton experimental, and check if you are on stable release of steamOS
I downloaded as you did in the video to the desktop. I double click then click continue, then a window opens but immediately closes. I don't even get a chance to read anything it closes out so fast.
Sorry no idea. Maybe restart the steam deck and retry
Hey. I try to install decky now. it works but the marketplace is loading and loading any tipps ? now the Decky Version is 2.10.10 maybe it´s because of this or ist the marketplace down ?
Hello I am trying to follow along with the video just now and get the same exact error. When I try to go into the "store" after installation, I just get a Steam logo for loading that never ends. I am on Decky version 2.10.10 (the latest as of 30 Dec 2023). Hopefully they fix it soon

Same … i think the store is off maybe . Unfortunally, i get the Deck Yesterday
Works fine for me and im on the latest version 🤷♂️ maybe try updating the store in the settings to ‘testing’ and then back to stable
The problem I have is after downloading from the web site and going to my downloads folder once clicked it won’t download it just ask me to open the file
You need to download it to desktop, not downloads folder (as I showed in the video). Move the file to the desktop and then try opening it again

When I tried to change the password it asked me to put some other password in to authorize myself as a user? I have no idea what I'm supposed to put in there
Sounds like you had already set one - there isn’t one by default
@@steamdeckguy this was the first time that I was trying anything with the password to be honest I just got it day before yesterday. So I don't know what's going on with it should I do a factory reset? At this point I only have a couple of apps and one game
@@steamdeckguy the default user seems to be just called deck, I definitely would not have chosen that as an admin name

@@hecateoliva5710 yeah, the account exists but you should have the option to set password without it prompting for new one. Maybe look on google to see how to reset it before trying to reinstall

So i accidentally made a temp password and now i dont know it. What do i do?
You’ll need to lookup a guide to reset sudo password
I didnt have to do the save as link and I own an OLED
You must have still dowloaded to desktop.

@@hussainali9722 usually that means that you have select multiple parsers in steam Rom Manager for the same system. A quick way to tell is to look at the collections tab in your library

I did…. Not my fault if you rush ahead. Anyway, you can change it under you profile, the exact same way I showed you in the video. It may prompt you for the current password
@steamdeckguy doesn't allow you, once it sets that password the password provided doesn't work. Had to factory reset.
@@ClapsCheeksAlot you could have just used the password that decky loader had set for you. Never mind, lesson learned
