    Yeah, we get to hear how these two determine when a prophet is being a prophet by using reason and logic. Jonah’s prophecy was a literally device, “thus saith the Lord” was used to say the end of polygamy in the church would mean apostasy for the church and that the Adam God doctrine were true. Oh and didn’t President Nelson suggest God had told him the I’m a Mormon campaign was a victory for satan? Also, every story here is manipulated and massaged to be faithfully told. Joseph prophesied that Boggs would be killed!?

    The see around corners thing for sure, but also there is more than meets the eye about "whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same."
    God could obviously do everything Himself. God could have just produced a perfect book of scripture/laws/rules/playbook/etc. in a perfect language and plopped it in Adam and Eve's lap. In fact, God could just be chilling out in public everyday running the world Himself. But that isn't His style. Not for now at least.
    For whatever reason, God instead has, for the time being at least, decided to work through his chosen prophets and apostles. Like the owner of a sports team, the Father = owner, Christ = GM, and the prophets and apostles are the coaching staff. And, what they say as the active coaching staff goes while they are the active coaching staff. And, once they are gone, then onto the next.
    Sure, there is much we can learn from studying the past coaching staff notes, but at the end of the day, the present coaching staff are the ones with the power to call plays right now. And, the owner and GM allow that. They are okay with delegating such matters. In other words, God apparently is okay with working through the so-called weak things of this world to confound the so-called strong and wise things of this world.

      @@kuriju88 Brother Brenen Sidwill, I don't know. What we have in our day in terms of what existed at one point in terms of ancient scripture is no doubt a very small fraction. We are so fortunate to have what we do have. As eternal beings that chose Christ from before the Creation that are presently in this realm on a journey of eternal progression, let's cherish and sincerely and humbly ponder and apply the principles of what we have been given both through ancient scripture and modern prophets/apostles, and perhaps more will be added over time. Perhaps God will use you as an instrument in bringing forth more ancient records.

    You really should review ALL of LDS Truth claims before recommending it. He takes a Bushman approach, says Nephi and the Nephites were "racists" and stereotyped the Lamanites. Not exactly how we teach it in SS.

      @@beefmaster4 He says the Nephites were "prejudiced" and "stereotyped" the Lamanites. And it actually literally was an 'us vs them" situation as the Lamanites sought to take their lives. I don't understand your point that the BOM expressly calls one group Nephite and the other Lamanite. So what? That doesn't make them racist, prejudiced or stereotyping.

    • @beefmaster4
      @beefmaster4 Год назад

      @@cabarete2003 I don't know what SS is and what is being taught about why it's bad to attribute realistic human behavior to a supposedly real historic people based on what the text written by those people says. The distinction between nephites and lamanites is an example of the us vs them mentality. It lumps everyone who doesn't believe the same things into the category of blood thirsty, wicked, etc. which can certainly be classified as stereotyping. And if someone disagrees on this point it seems a small reason to not recommend the videos which go over a lot of interesting things. I don't think disagreeing with someone's conclusion on some small aspect is a reason to disregard everything. I watched all the lds truth claims videos, and didn't agree with everything, but I highly recommend watching them as a starting point for looking more into the ideas presented.

      He goes over preconceptions. One of those is what is an objectivist approach another is naturalistic approach. He talks about how certain mindsets will interpret church history. From watching all his videos he entertained ideas he didn’t necessarily believe. His approach shows that absurd conclusions you must reach if you don’t believe in God, the spirit of prophecy, and miracles. Joseph Smith has to get really lucky an absurd amount of times.

    • @cabarete2003
      @cabarete2003 Год назад

      @@beefmaster4 Sunday School. The problem with the modern trend to call everything racist, prejudice, bigotted or stereotyping is that it is severely short sighted. Ironically, calling the Nephites "prejudice" and "stereotyping" is prejudiced against the Nephites. It assumes that the Nephites lied and that the Lamanites were not a murderous bunch. Were you there? No, you assume it was racism and not merely an honest observation.
      Remember that a stereotype is an etching of one scene. A judgment of this kind is short-sighted, but 1000s of these images is solid evidence.
      He teaches other points as though they are fact and the only position acceptable. As though he was the authority. i.e the Bushman accounts and the MesoAmerican theories. These may very well be true, but he does not leave room for other theories. Nor does he suggest his audience seek out the other theories.

      We know so much about Joseph Smith, he practiced illegal treasure, digging, he not only slept with little girls, but he also slept with other man’s wives, started an illegal bank, and what got him shot was an act of terrorism by burning down the Navoo expositor. Am I angry at the church? Absolutely, especially after finding out who the real Joseph Smith was and paying tithing to deceiving church leaders and so-called prophets that took my money and built a shopping mall. Also illegally hid and invested tithing money, Some believing members still dismiss this information but if every church that really invested in the needy were to behave like this, there would be no exempt status for real charitable organizations.
      This is a typical smoke and mirrors show from this channel and whatever book comes out the tries to portray Joseph Smith as a real prophet will be torn apart by the truth.
      Maybe I am a prophet and I’ll profess this, the LDS corporations glory days are in the past. You can take that to the bank! Just don’t take it to Joseph Smiths bank!
