A documentary featuring two senior citizens who are still in love is much more romantic than any Hollywood movie showcasing a skinny model and a callow young man. West's tenderness towards his wife, and Scales's fondness for her spouse, are palpable. Thanks for posting this.

I don't know how I got here but I'm so on love with this series. I'm stuck in my house, quarantined during covid19 and this is going on my list for when the world goes back to normal.

Tim and Prunella are touching and delightful as guides on the incredible canals of Britain. I have one last episode to watch and am already sad to be reaching the end. It's been a marvelous experience.

Oh what a treat! Canals and steam engines, who could ask for more. I went to Ysgol Y Berwyn in Bala in the 1960s. My best friend at school caught the train every morning in Carrog to come to Bala. She had to get up so early in the morning to walk a mile from her house to Carrog station and then the train ride which was quite long, when all I had to do living just outside Bala in Rhosygwalia was get taken on a five minute car ride by my mother.

Tim seems to hit more things than Pru forgets.

I"m from the U.S, Some day I hope I want to take 2 weeks off and take a little trip down the Canals. There are so many things in this world people miss out on. Pru and Tim's documentries are the best.

Chris thank you very much for taking the trouble of putting this series up for people who would otherwise have no chance of seeing them,my missus and l have thoroughly enjoyed watching them all. It is through the wonders of modern life that we watched these over the last month in one of the remotest places in the world in the Australian outback in Arnhem Land, something we guess Pru &Tim never would of dreamt of when they made the series. Thanks again and all the best from Australia

Having seen him so often playing very rotten characters, and so obviously enjoying it (see: Pocket Full of Rye, a Miss Marple mystery, where West was beyond superb), his gigantic smile at the steam train makes me endlessly happy.

While I am half a world away from narrow boats, not really, I'm just on the other side of the Atlantic, I am becoming a narrow boat addict! With hopes that this feeble comment finds it's way to Mr West, I am thoroughly enjoying your adventures narrow boating and please permit me to say; your lovely wife Prunella Scales had the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen.
