Love the honesty. Use the doll to practice on. Learn to restring, sounds like she needs her eyes reset, figure out how to do those things on this doll. Honestly I think a recast doll is perfect as a guinea pig, so you're less intimidated when you get the real thing. I actually waited five years to do anything to my first doll, by the time I got over my insecurities he needed everything done at once. It was an eye opener. I'd love to hear what you would like to have as your first grail bjd.

Yes I don't have anything to do with the community because of all the hate...of course there's some brilliant people who love BJD's. There's a lot of dolls made in China and I don't really think that the employees of Chinese companies have any say in what they sell at all. The haters should think about this before they start. Minifee is a huge company. They should shut up...You do what you like and it's great you're giving your unbiased opinion, stay that way!
I would also say that the exclusivity and nose in the air attitude that some of these people have makes me sick. Live and let live and I don't think that the people who have these dolls should be harrangued by anyone because they don't want them to enjoy the same sort of doll.
Quick hint...You usually put in the eyes yourself...sort it yourself...they're only in there with eye putty. Also the reason they don't seem so diverse is that 'tan' or dark skin toned resin is prone to bubbling and other flaws so it's more expensive and more likely to be flawed.

@@AnneAndersonFoxiepaws fairyland is not a huge company, you might think they are huge because they are so popular but they are not. They survive the recast wave because of their popularity. Smaller companies has gone bankrupt because their doll got recasted and they cant compete with that. Yes some pro artist can get extremely violent with their words, but you can still have a legit with a much affordable price. Also recasts are just extremely low quality in general. (This is coming from an ex recast owner who has go legit)

I'm pretty sure the darker skinned dolls are more expensive because of the material used to cast it and it can depend on the caster.

    • @tyjifeku
      @tyjifeku 3 года назад +10

Darker and fantasy skin colors require specific resin dyes that are finicky and it's tough to get an even result overall, so the rate of failure is a lot higher. They tend to green faster, too. But you can get some really lovely results.

  • @Flintzombie
    @Flintzombie 4 года назад +53

The eye is an easy fix - just open the head cap and the eyes can be moved around. They are fixed into the socket with eye putty. The reason she can't stand is because she is strung too tight. The joints can crack if you leave her like that. She should be ok if you restring her. She's definitely a recast.

  • @michaelmcgee8543

The reason for those buying the knock offs is that the better ones are so expensive. They get even more expensive when they are taller and offer more choices in skin tones heads and eyes. , although their quality is good especially the ones with more choices. Yet at prices of 495 and more than is expensive. I'm glad I'm not into those kinds of dolls.

I just received Shuga Fairy Anya from chinabjd (it's the same as Ouneif). I made a review there. The quality is really good for a fake/counterfeit doll. I normally wouldn't be buying a bootleg doll because the bjd community does not like it, and prefer supporting the maker. But I fell in love with Anya head sculpt and there were no actual Anya anymore (it might be a sio2 discontinued doll). I bought an original one such as Dollzone Black Cat, Penny, Miyou after but she is my first doll. The seller were really nice :) so probably message them before buying one you like. They actually send pictures before the items are shipped. Also ask a picture too before buying if you're not so sure.

I buy from Aliexpress all the time, but not really for ball jointed dolls because I know they are recasts. However, I did buy a kikipop resin recast because I couldn’t afford the real kikipops, and she came with everything, and a faceup, plus she was on sale. I did buy her an extra short red wig. Then a few months later, I found a real kikipop that needs everything, (eyes, wig, clothes, and shoes) but she did come in her original box) on eBay for $82.00 plus shipping. But I do love both of them, and have lots of clothes, and shoes for them. I just don’t have the big bucks to buy original bjds.

Hi there, love your channel :) As someone who's been into BJDs for over a decade, I wanted to throw in my two cents on the recast issue. I do not support recasts, simply because it puts artists out of business, and creates a hostile environment for artists who may want to produce their own dolls. I do believe that the BJD hobby should be more accessible, which is why I think it's important to support studios that offer lower priced dolls. Studios like Resinsoul, Angel of Dream, and more, have excellent doll selections for the same price as a recast. That said, I think you've handled this topic really well, and I especially agree with you about making sure to have good, friendly resources for educating new BJD buyers.

You are very right, no matter what people are going to put their money wherever they want but it is good to educate them on What they are buying. Honestly, the prices for a recast are insane as you actually CAN get a legit, high quality ball jointed doll for the same price. $180-200 is a waste of money when you can get a 1/4 size (same as the one you have) at the same price. I would also like to add that quality is never guarantee for a legit or recast. The reason why people should buy a legit doll is not MAINLY because of quality but mainly to support the artist. They are not actually ball jointed, and they are cheap but are not recasts of any bjds for the most part. I recommend those if anyone wants to start getting into bjds for a lower price without any backlash from the community. I am a BJD collector!
No hate! I'm happy with the transparency you had in this matter.
It's not the materials that make it a recast. So basically they take the original doll, made by an artist and a private company, make molds of the doll, then make their own copies in generally less great materials.
It's the fact that these dolls are created by artists and recasts are art theft. I think it's absolutely something that needs to be talked about more openly, if only for knoweledge.

I know a few other people who got out of the BJD community before they fully got in cuz of all the gate keeping & drama (like bullying someone for unknowingly buying a used lot of dolls with a recast in it 🤦🏼‍♀️) people should be educated not punished for ignorance
Personally I have 2 Blythe dolls & a gorgeous BJD.. but mines from toys r us, it wasn’t really expensive but wasn’t cheap either in my opinion. Quality is really good! I was surprised! Thing is I didn’t even realize it was a BJD when I bought it, I just saw a gorgeous doll & with a sale sign knew I wanted her & snatched! 😸🎀☺️💜🍭
Luckily I found out about all the controversy a few years before coming across any recasts on Aliexpress or I might have accidentally bought one too!! I found out like 3 years ago (or more) about recasts so I’m always a bit surprised when other people don’t know, I guess I assume other people know more than me or something 🙈😅
I just hate how the indie art community gets hit so bad in so many communities it’s sad. Especially when the companies have enough money & could pay someone to design the dolls (or whatever else) for them & give credit, it just doesn’t make sense... 😕 I think she did a good job in this video, it’s kind of like she was low key exposing them instead of advertising the product & pretty obvious she doesn’t agree with recasts. As long as there will be people who have little money and still love dolls, there will be a market for aliexpress. I have bought there bits and pieces myself in times when I couldn't spend much. I understand the fight some people try to fight for the arts and artists, but lets face it: to some a fake Picasso can give as much or even more pleasure than the real thing that costs thousands and hangs on a wall as a prestige item. I bought my legit and second hand but very well kept Angel of Dream Shi (which is a 1/3 scale doll, so about 60ish cm) for £90.00 on eBay... that, converted into American dollars right now, is $116.77... like, if you look around, you can get BJDs in the lower price range of $120-$500 (not counting the cheap legit second hand YO-SD dolls) depending on what sculpt you buy, from what company, if there are events going on, what you buy with the doll, and how big the doll is. It is a BIG fallacy that BJDs in general are about $1000+ for one doll. That is so, SO wrong and incorrect, and the people who say they buy recasts as they are not willing to pay $1000+ for a doll, are making excuses, most of the dolls prices are at a lot lower cost than that, bar a few companies such as for the SOOM big boys and for Volks.
I don't know much about recast companies, but I do know the legit BJD companies are very small, from 1 person to about 15 people, depending on how big the companies are. So, I am wondering how big the recasting companies are too. I wouldn't think they are THAT big... but they are selling counterfeit dolls, and stealing the designs from other small artists that do not get that much money for all the blood, sweat and tears that go into these very much hand made dolls.
Everything is hand made with BJDs. The doll itself, is sculpted by hand, the resin is mixed and poured by hand, the resin is sanded down after it has set, by hand, they are hand painted faces and bodies, the clothes are hand made, the wigs are hand made, the eyes are hand made, they are strung using hands. Everything is hand made with these dolls, so the amount of work that goes into them, is pretty extreme. That is why it takes months to make the dolls, because they are made to order, and all the dolls and the items have to be made by hand after the order is placed.
This isn't big scale companies using machines to pump out countless dolls, everything is fully done by people with BJDs. So, it is really about artists selling their art with these BJDs. Hand sculpting, sewing, and everything, is a work of art. And the recast companies have skipped a lot of the steps for making such dolls, as the dolls are already sculpted by someone else. All they have to do is literally recast them for the dolls to be made, bar the outfit and wigs that some recasts may come with. That is why recasts are cheaper, but I must admit, the price of recasts is going up now. I have seen some recasts going for $400+ now. So, really, they are much closer to the legit prices for an average legit BJD now. As like I stated, a LOT of companies are not selling their dolls for $1000+. The average is, I would say, about $200-$600, depending on factors I stated above. But, the bigger the doll is, and how much you buy with the doll, the bigger the money paid will be, there are MANY small YO-SD sized BJDs for great prices. As well as 40ish cm/MSD dolls. Some 60cm/SD dolls are reasonably priced too, even with the 70ish cm dolls, you can find decent prices. These dolls are art pieces, hand crafted, so of course will be more money than big factory machine produced dolls.

The thing about knock off’s and the companies who sell them is these knock off companies don’t care if you give them a bad review or not. All they want is exposure. Their target isn’t the people who are die hard against knock off’s. They are hoping you will reach the people who have no qualms about buying counterfeit dolls.
The reborn doll community is having a hard time dealing with this very issue and it’s because people who buy knock off’s are keeping these counterfeit doll dealers healthy and going.

I remember Nexjen receiving one having no experience of these BJDs and she instantly got the most horrific comments and messages. THAT in itself was the worse part of the experience for her I think she said. Not the quality of the doll.
I had people be nasty to me for just asking about recasts. I have a video showing both and I have to say the experience of buying the legit compared to being gifted the recast was not very nice. The quality of the recast is better than the legit. Might not be everybody’s experience but that was of mine.
I feel like if you are so against recasts, educate, don’t belittle and be super immature and horrible because in reality that doesn’t help. (Not you personally, just how the legit crazy folk behave) It only furthers the person that’s being attacked, into buying the recast.

I know this is an older comment but I was there for the nexjen thing and in her RUclips comments she did NOT get tons of mean comments. She got a bunch of people explaining that she was sent a counterfeit doll by an unscrupulous company and she decided instead of learning from the experience to pretend she was attacked.
In the RUclips comments there was maybe 2 "mean" comments out of like the hundreds that were being posted. Nexjens community (which seems really young to be fair) decided to condemn the bjd hobby and a lot of them claimed they were going to go buy a counterfeit "out of spite" which to be real, is pretty gross.
I'm just kind of tired of this stuff being spread and damaging the bjd communities reputation when that wasn't what happened.

I understand that some people doesn't have money for oryginal but as an artist I really am against recast. I am also cartoonist and i hate when I see that someone stole my idea. Same with BJD faceups, I was one of the first persons that make creepy faceups and I herd that my dolls are ugly, now those people who said this are copying me because natural makeup becomes popular through the years. I also do repaints like MH, EAH, now CC, L.O.L, L.O.L. O.M.G. so i know what people are interested in. Recast is cheating if i don't have money i don't buy BJD. You are a very nice person and I thank you for your honesty. However I have to say that this current trend of using influencers to advertise 'bootlegs' of niche collector products has me worried. The issue of recasts goes deeper than what most of these "pros and cons" videos cover. Before mass industrialization and the current era of plastics, toymakers used traditional methods for sculpting, assembling and painting their dolls. These traditions have mostly been abandoned except for a few niche markets that cater to a very small population of adult collectors, and at the same time innovating by bringing in new designs, concepts and modern materials. While I'm not a dollmaker myself, I am a sort of part time collector and I build traditional dollhouses as a hobby. I feel pretty "safe" in my particular niche knowing they will never be able to print traditional wooden dollhouses and try to distribute them on a mass scale.. but I can empathize 100% with my fellow artists that have their work stolen and copied. What saddens me mostly is that in the current age of social media these 'bootleg' products end up being advertised for even more than the work of the original artists, what used to be a niche hobby over 15 years ago is now plastered all over pinterest, instagram, youtube, etc. People have no context to understand where these works came from, they just think the dolls look pretty and a quick google search will provide them plenty of links to purchase them off ebay or aliexpress. And thus the machine that fluels intelectual property theft keeps churning, with some coming up with justification for their purchases post hoc. I'm not even angry at anyone in particular, except perhaps the people that knowingly exploit cheap and sometimes even child labor to fuel the consumerism of the west... I just wish people would stop and think about this for a moment, and ponder the 'cost' of the product not just on their own wallet but on others as well. Artists are not 'gatekeeping' anyone by putting their work out there for a price that is fair, and they don't deserve to have their work being ripped off just because people love it and it's popular (ie. Fairyland).

What's this particular company that I'm feeling is the one that contacted you because they've contacted other people. This trying to company has actually tried to trademark the companies names that they originally actually belong to and try to use them as their own even though they have deliberately bought these dolls from the original company. And recast them in cheaper material and are selling them at a smaller price. So they are legitimately taking an actual real doll from the real company and casting it themselves and faster quantities and that's why they're selling it for cheaper. At the extremely touchy subject like you said because of the fact that these dolls are hand casted by order. A whole bunch of them are not made at a time they are only made when an order is made. They are very customizable and that's why their prices the way that they are. They're not just some Barbie doll that you can go to Walmart and pick off the shelves. I myself am not within the bjd hobby anymore just because of how toxic and can be not just in a sense of recast but and other things as well. Many many people do not support these things just because of the fact that bjd companies are small they're not owned by hundreds of employees. There's only a very small handful of people that work on these dolls and so Blood Sweat and Tears go into these dolls and that's why it's so important to people to educate others on why we do not buy recast dolls. There are small artist companies that have gone out of business because of recast companies taking their dolls and selling them at a cheap price which means that these original companies are losing out on a lot of money. Because people want to be greedy and don't feel that they should have to pay a high price or they are needy and fill the needs that they need the doll now instead of waiting months. Because sometimes it does take months before you get the doll in

Recasts are usually made using resin, there is different types of resin but there is some recasters who use high grade and it can be very hard to tell them apart.
Recasters nowadays will add thier spin to recasts like fake full sets and such, so for newbies it is hard to understand that they are recasts.
Some recasters have taken into recasting artist cast dolls that are made by very small companies of like 1-3 people and this is where a huge amount of damage is done. Artist dolls are very limited and it is thier livelihood.
So just be aware, compare names, because a minifee is way more than $200

I do not find it okay that people make copies of BJDs like this, most commonly its popular companies like MiniFee that get the recasts made cause they normally range from 370 to even 550 I believe, for the 1/4 scale. Some people buy these dolls with no knowledge of recasts or knockoff dolls and just believe it is second hand when it is not, and they find out when they post online about it and get nasty, rude, or snarky comments from people that don't know anything about the situation. Some people buy dolls with absolute knowledge but they have no other option cause it is not in their price range to spend so much but they want to have a doll. The material is normally not great and there are sometimes major differences between the OG doll and the recast like skin tone or mobility. As per the doll in the video, the doll is not strung very tight or too tight which means that it won't be able to hold the poses as well or that it will be too hard to move. If the doll is to loose there is a fix for that, by simply applying hot glue to the joints with a popsicle stick.
I like these new BJD videos btw, the dolls do seem very pretty, but it is important to be careful and do some research before buying a BJD from Aliexpress or other sites like it. Quite curious to see the second part!!!

I had a REALLY bad experience with AliExpress. A lot of people haven't had problems with that company, but once I ordered a bunch of doll shoes, and they contacted me to let me know that one was out of stock. That's fine, except they refused to exchange the out of stock one for a different pair of the same price, and also refused to refund my money for it. I told them I'd just be happy if they sent a different pair instead, but they wouldn't do that (I suggested a pair that was the same price; it wasn't a single penny more expensive). So then I asked for a refund, and they refused to do that, too. Perhaps it was a language communication issue, but they acted like they were just going to keep my money for that pair of shoes that they admitted were out of stock, and not send me anything in return, and not refund my money, either. I'll never buy from them again. It was ridiculous. Don't know if other people had this issue with them, but dealing with them was infuriating and awful for me.

Resinsoul? Doll Leaves?? Impldoll??? Akagidoll, BonBon Galaxy, maybe even Popodoll, Doll Family-A, Doll Family-H, Guard Love, Kids Sky, MYOU Doll, Mystic Kids, Island Doll, Huajing Doll, Fatemoons, MagicTime, IMOMODOLL, MILO DOLL, Ao Lingshi, Dolly Zone, True Love, TinyFox, Angel of Dream, and a lot of tinies/YO-SDs from very popular companies, such as Dollzone, Dream Valley and more, can be bought at cheaper prices. My fave of the bunch I just listed off, is Impldoll and Doll Family-H. These companies, along with many others, are decent prices for dolls, with great looking dolls to choose from. I would say, about the same price as a recast 70-80cm doll, that being, in the $400, maybe bit more than that, and also less than that, range, depending on what you buy from which company, what they come with, and how big they are.
Not all prices are in the $1000 or more range, like the SOOM ID75 range is pretty pricy. If you look around, you can find great deals, especially when there are events from the doll companies going on. Events happen quite a lot of times every year, marking the new year, Christmas, spring, summer and more. You could get either, dolls for cheaper at the events, or get a free small doll with your purchase from these events. I bought a legit Ringdoll 75cm body, new, from a dealer, at about $350 due to an event going on, the body was just released and was on sale, about 30% off. Not including shipping, that is. I am from the UK, so the conversion into pounds was even cheaper for me to buy it. That is a really good price for a Ringdoll body, and a big body at that, which costs quite a bit of money, new, directly from the company, with no event going on.
Recasts are getting pricier now, and you could easily get a great legit for the same price as a recast nowadays, barring the extremely expensive companies such as Volks, or the big SOOM boys. If you look for cheaper dolls on ebay, you can find legit ones going for cheap. I bought an Angel of Dream Shi for £90.00 with faceup. I just converted the £90.00 to American dollars. That, right now, is $115.25 at present. Shi is a 1/3, or SD, scale doll. I have bought more on eBay for cheaper than that, legit. But you have to know what is legit and what is not. You have to know what to look out for. So, it is pretty easy to get cheaper legit BJDs that look amazing, if you really wanted to. Just because they are not as expensive brands, like SOOM ID75, or like the LUTS Royal Senior Delfs, or The Voice BJDs, does not make them any less good. It is perfectly fine to get a cheaper doll from a cheaper company, you won't be getting a SOOM Idealian75, but you can get cheaper dolls of that same size too. Doll Family-A being a good option for that size at a cheaper price. Or how about Impldoll's bigger guys and gals? They would be maybe the same size as Iplehouse EID's, or maybe even as big as Idealian72, around, anyway, would have to check the measurements for that. They are amazing too at a cheaper price than Iplehouse or SOOM.
For the price you are getting, Telesthesia & Dragon Doll are pretty good as well. Not the cheapest, but still really good for the size you are getting for the big boys and girls, I would say, average price for a big BJD. You can get an 85cm BJD for about... just over $500 with Telesthesia & Dragon Doll, without faceup, or clothes, or a wig or eyes (although, usually you may get a free pair of eyes with the dolls you buy, not always, but sometimes you do). That is pretty good for the size you are buying, 85cm is big. But they have cheaper BJDs that are smaller sizes too, if you don't have the money for an 85cm doll. 85cm is the biggest they do, so they are the most expensive dolls you can buy from Telesthesia. For an 85cm doll, that is a very good price, if SOOM were to sell 85cm dolls, they would be upwards of $1000, as ID75's are about $900 - $2000 already, depending on what you buy with the doll, if it is the fullset, like, extra heads, and faceup, clothes and everything with it, can go up to $2000, so an 85cm doll that is almost half the price for a basic doll, no faceup or clothes or wig, is pretty good, I would say. 85cm is bigger than 75cm and most companies don't sell that big anyway. I know Dollmore, LUTS and Angel of Dream have big dolls, but most companies do not sell such big dolls, so they are less money usually, 85cm is not that usual of a size to make, it is on the bigger and more expensive side. 40-75cm, you can get cheaper and can average on the cheap side, from about $200-$500, depending on what size you buy, what you buy with the doll, and what company it is from. Resinsoul will be even cheaper than that too.

I think you did a great job..I agree with you 100% ..I know some collect all the latest dolls from their favourite artists...It’s good that these serious collectors do that ..But please don’t be rude or unkind when someone shows a cheaper doll.Dont you think they would like to buy one from an artist..To be honest they look nothing like the artist dolls and the clothes not as good it’s thin and poorer material, you can see from the videos .So when someone explains why she’s showing it,I know for a fact that other people who deal with toys have been picked on so bad it’s upsetting.Just remember your privileged to be able to own one or more..Not everyone can,..and you can see these do not take money out of artists pockets ..if they stop selling its because they price above and beyond most people’s pockets ,that’s why

I agree 100% - These dolls aren’t hurting artists sales, I guarantee it. They’re great for people who don’t have the funds to spend $1,000 on a doll. I just don’t like snobby elitist people in any community, and there are tons in the doll community unfortunately.

They do recast artist dolls and and they do hurt the artist. Some artist actually stop making dolls and stop selling them because of recasters. But there are cheaper companies that make wonderful dolls that are not knock offs and actually pretty much the same price this fakes. It might not come with an outfit but but u can buy a dress on etsy for BJD for like a tenner. I think one of the cheapest companies is Resinsoul, dollleaves and bobobie. u google them you will see that they have loads of dolls and they quite cute, and no decent collector will look down on u for owning one. If u go to Bjdcollectasy.com you will find a huge list of companies that sell legit dolls. And they all different price range. So yeah not all companies are extremely expensive , and in all honesty i had cheaper dolls, like dollleaves, who pose way better than some of my dolls that are more expensive. So do some research and u can get a wonderful doll for a decent price and support an artist

@@cozmickitten5757 some artists just basically lose any will to make dolls when that happens. It's very hurtful to have ur hard work stollen. I personally know some artists and I have talked to them about it. I myself have been working on a doll that I was gonna sell, but with how things R with recasters, I have decided I never will. In general, from my experience artists, especially independent, dont get that much money from selling dolls, if u take into consideration how many hours they put into it.and in the end, it's just not worth all the disappointment u get when ur work gets stolen.
There are also other angles. Second-hand doll market used to be rather good, dolls would sell fast and that would give seller money to buy something new from the company/artist. now there are so many recasts,(i personally have been scammed twice) that people no longer feel safe buying second hand as much. As a result, some buyers will think twice before buying something when u know it will be hard for u to sell it after.

Ps. I dont like how people bully a person for buying a recast😔 many people are being discouraged from getting into bjd world when they saw how intense the discrimination is. Instead of "bullying" they should encourage those people who have recast to buy legits.
I saw an issue before when someone new to bjd world unknowingly bought a recast bjd and post it somewhere and she got many negative feedbacks and comments, those people should have just said in a nicer way that its a recast and its "disrespectful" to buy recast in bjd world. They should have educated that person correctly, bullying is never right.

I think the reason the ball jointed dolls are not super diverse in their color is because they are supposed to emulate anime Asian characters and that’s why they don’t come super diverse but also I know that you can buy just the doll with no face paint which is a lot cheaper And you can paint it yourself but that’s a lot harder and when you do it that way you can definitely change the color of the skin if you want but it is a long process because you have to have all the right supplies you definitely want to make sure that you have Mr. super clear so that you can set the whatever you decide to do you can basically sell it but if you’ve never repainted at all then that’s definitely something that you would want to really do your research on because the first time I ever repainted a doll didn’t go very great at all I will be straight up honest it turned out to be crap but now I love doing it and people always tell me I should sell my dogs that I repaint and I want to but it’s like I spent so much time repainting that it’s almost like I don’t even know what price even charge because I take a really long time I am a perfectionist and if I was to sell my work it would be really expensive like sometimes it takes me two weeks to finish a doll repaint just because I am a perfectionist and I also love making like doll furniture and stuff like that people tell me I should sell doll furniture to buy I don’t really make it where it’s sellable because I make it strictly for my dioramas so it’s like stationary and I use like cardboard and stuff and I feel like if I’m gonna sell my doll furniture I would want it to be made out of actual wood and like really good materials but yeah and has anyone ever told you that you kind of resemble Gwen Stefani like you’re really gorgeous and I love your channel now you did an amazing job especially for this being your like first ball jointed doll that you’ve ever bought on AliExpress your first thing from AliExpress you did an amazing job and yes people can be very hypocritical when it comes to these dolls and I get it but also I feel like people need to understand that at the end of the day they are just adults and if somebody is reviewing one and it’s not an authentic and maybe they don’t know too much about them but they seen it and they had to have it because it was just gorgeous and they bought it to review it I definitely feel like people should be more lenient because I know people can be very harsh some people can meet just downright hateful and it is a very sensitive topic because people do spend a lot of money like you said some dude spend thousands but they should be able to you know read a situation because these people that act a certain type of way they’ve been collecting these dolls for a long time so they know if somebody is new at it they should be able to read the situation and be like oh OK they’ve never been in this realm before they need to know the ins and outs and that’s what I really liked in the beginning of your video you said that a bunch of people privately messaged you to let you know like hey listen girl and I think that’s awesome that’s why more people that are in that realm need to do when they see somebody that might not know what they’re really getting yourself into or might not know about those dolls they should privately message them or just message them in the comments of another video or on that video and be really nice and explain to them about the dolls do you know teach them so that they know because there is a dollar line that I have been trying to get my hands on for the longest time and I cannot seem to get my hands on them ever and I have literally asked everyone RUclips channels that literally review these dolls and they are the fashion royalty dolls I want one of the male fashion royalty dolls I had asked so many RUclipsrs that review those dolls how do you get these dolls I really want one and everybody is so mean I’ve had people literally say if you don’t know how to get one why do you think I’m gonna give it away the more people that buy them the less t there will be I’ve had people literally say I don’t know figure it out or do your research and I’ve done my research I have a went to their website there’s nowhere where you can purchase dolls anywhere on the website and they don’t have any of the male dolls on the website all they have is the female doll but there’s nowhere where you can actually purchase it off

This happens with everything, not just dolls. A youtuber I follow who makes her own clothes found one of her pictures wearing a dress that she made on a knock-off website. All they did was cover her face. Another one found a fake fringe on a website and guess what? They used a picture of her to advertise it! (Mind you, her fringe was natural, not a wig). You just can't win against these huge companies who steal other people's work and ideas and sell you something cheap and very poor quality. With clothes I think it's the most obvious and it's horrible to think that maybe that pretty dress in the picture is available for sale somewhere, but it's buried so deep down that you can't find it through the hundreds of knock-off trashsites who pretend to be selling it. Thankfully, with dolls it's a bit easier to figure out if it's an original or not and the doll community is usually really nice and amazing. Everyone is so willing to answer questions and help people who are new into the hobby. I am glad you are speaking up and doing an honest review despite them having sent you the doll.

im new to the hobbie and i actually dont know if some of my dolls are a recast or not . since their models are only found in aliexpres or in other sites but with the same name, ''brand'' etc. two of mine are etremely high quality, flawless makeup etc , so does someone know if there are actually brands on there (i think one of them is from a brand called shugafairy)

    • @AmazonRiderNeoLove
      @AmazonRiderNeoLove 2 месяца назад +1

Shugafairy is a well known recast company. The doll sculpts you have are going to be originally, as legits, from many different companies though, recast companies usually have recasts from many different companies and independent artists, all under the same recast brand. But, the recast company shugafairy i have seen going around, along with some other well known recaster companies, so you are right that the recast branding is shugafairy. You doll is a recast of shugafairy's recasting company. But, that isn't the branding and company of the original dolls, their origin will be many different legit companies and artists, not shugafairy.
For the most part, most BJDs on Aliexpress, are recasts. It would be hard to find a legit on that site. A lot of recasters sell their dolls on that site. That is why I stay away from Aliexpress. I go to the dealer Alice's Collections and also the dealer Legend Doll, for most of my legit dolls and doll accessories anyway. Or eBay and also Etsy, Ebay for legit BJDs second hand only, (it would likely be very rare to find new legit dolls on eBay, so if you go to eBay, look for second hand dolls that tell you it is legit, but do not always take that as fact always, without proof some how), I also go to eBay for clothes, and wigs, Etsy for only SOME artist BJD heads, maybe a full doll or head or clothes, or wigs from codenoirdoll on etsy, and lots of clothes and wigs and eyes just in general from Etsy, Legend Doll for legit BJDs and clothes and wigs and accessories, and Alice's Collections for the legit dolls, for the most part, only, maybe a wig and some clothes too, but mostly I go to AC for the dolls. The dealer BJDivas for the legit dolls, and I also like looking at the website for the dealer DenverDollEmporium, I have bought a doll head from Stacy's Pink Ocean too, that is a legit dealer of BJDs as well. I have bought many a doll head from the official LUTS website (they sell their own dolls, shoes, eyes, wigs, clothes, and also sell legit other doll brands on their website too). This is where I go for my dolls, and doll items, mostly. I have bought from other BJD companies too, like Little Monica, before they closed down (they are back with a new website now though). I bought from Leekeworld before too, for a head, many, many, years ago, and some of their wigs too.
I can't say what your dolls original companies are though, without seeing the dolls and knowing the company myself. I do have an extended knowledge of different companies sculpts and styles of sculpting, but I do not know them all. However, there is a chance I could know the original company, if I could see the listing of where you got your doll from, so the shugafairy Aliexpress website listing for your specific doll. But, I doubt youtube would allow the link here so I wouldn't suggest that.
Oh, I forgot to mention the website "BJD Collectasy". That website is for the latest news on different BJD companies, so it tells you what the newest releases are, and all about them. That website has been very informative for me to keep up to date on what releases are going on, by who, and if there are any sales and events on. They only talk about legit dolls and legit sites to visit, so it is a good resource for knowing what is going on in the BJD world. I would highly suggest looking on that website for more info on different doll companies and their releases and the legit sites you can buy them from. BJD Collectacy has been vital for me to gain such knowledge on different doll companies and their releases. Also, checking in on the mentioned BJD dealer sites I said above, helps give me more of a up to date knowledge on the different companies and sculpts around, and gives me the latest news in the BJD world.
