    1:02 - I’m witcha brah, 100%.
Too, learned (and tried) from another channel to clean around the fan without removing element...use a butter knife with your sponge, sorta like an extended finger...it works.

@ 1:02...It really is and that is my honest opinion... if everyone had one of these and they were half as common as a microwave in kitchens it would be the only way people cooked...I do love this gadget... thanks for sharing your tip also... and thanks for watching Robert!!!

You can probably cook the main meat (or vegan) entrée for your family with this appliance and the side dishes with your stove top.
The main entrée usually takes longer than the side dishes. The side dishes and main entrée should all be closer to getting done at the same time with a Ninja Foodi.
Sometimes I burn (or dry out) the main entrée dish when I get into cooking the side dishes. The Ninja Foodi has a timer, so that will help.
*The only thing I'm not liking is the cleaning of the air fryer top.* But I do love that the air fryer and the pressure cooker seem to both work equally well.
*Best Buy has the 8 qt on sale this week for $220 and the 6.5 qt. for $180.*

This really is a great review video. I've never purchased any of the new instant or pressure cooker pots yet. Still researching. This has helped a lot! I need to look into what to use for cleaning a bit more. I'm not into sponges for cleaning. They tend to hold so much bacteria. In case anyone is still looking for one, I watched this on 8/6/2019.If you are a Sam's Club Plus Member, you can get one sent to your doorstep for free shipping and all in at $189.99.
I am disabled so I have been looking for a pressure cooker that will help me cook easier and eat better. I have been researching all the name brand pressure cookers for a solid month. I am on Social Security so if I am going to spend 200 dollars of my check on something, it has to be more than worth it, and I was scared to spend so much on something without some hard facts to back it up. Once the warranty is expired you can remove the fan guard from the lid. That makes it a lot easier to clean. However you need to purchase a special torx bit for the fasteners. Sometimes the seal on the pressure cooker lid needs to be cleaned with bleach water. Sometimes the the seal will develop a nasty stink. The bleach water really removes the stink.

It took her over half way throw the video to unplug it while she was running that darn brush up in that coil area .. I am with you use a sponge whip it down don't stick any thing in the wire area. lol

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  4 года назад +1

In my honest opinion, I think some people are going way too far with trying to clean the element and fan area...I personally think a damp sponge is all that should be used...again that is my opinion and I have not seen the video you are speaking of but the fan can be damaged not to mention the electrical components in the lid...I personally think a lot of the issues come from air frying bacon because of the airborne grease that gets into the air...just like it does when you pan fry and it gets all over the surrounding areas and that is why I never air fry bacon...thanks for watching!!

Should anyone remove that grate that is screwed in, it will void the warranty. I live alone and I am getting the 8-quart because I like to cook in batches and be able to freeze some meals for when I don't feel like cooking or I don't have home care to help me cook. I usually need help but I can make delicious food in the Ninja foodi without help. You are also correct about leaving the pin alone. I've used vinegar to clean just to make sure there is no grease left behind. I mean big Grace not just from pressure cooking potatoes or something. I don't recommend cooking bacon in there either due to Splatter Up. I have had other pressure cookers where I couldn't even find the condensation cup and I don't think they had them because the manuals never mentioned the condensation cup only on a rice cooker have I seen that.

Hey jelly just to let you guys know out there if you'd like to pass this along or maybe somebody will see it you can take us star style screwdriver the right size and you can take the little screws out of the front plate up there where the air fryer is a plate comes right off you can get inside clean it up put the screws back in all you have to do is snug them back up and you're able to clean everything that you need to clean on the ninja foodi without hurting it you just have to get the right star screwdriver to do it it's simple and you won't hurt a thing

I had three of the Jet Stream ovens, Kind of the same design as this. I loved them. But they had one bad flaw. At the first of this video you talk about how the grease splatters up but is pulled back down. The Jet Stream allowed some grease to flow back into the head of the unit where all the electronics are. There was No way to clean the unit unless you took the whole thing a part. Two of them got covered in grease and shorted out. They lasted perhaps 90 days or so. Just long enough for the warranty to expire. Perhaps they might have lasted longer had I not used them. But I used them all the time. When I heard this came with a 3 yr warranty I had to take a second look. I did find one thing bad about them. The people at Ninja told me that they are BPA free. I had to look on line to find out what it meant. It is chemical they make plastic with. Any how it is Not good. There was some company that recalled a bunch of children's sippy cups that was made with the stuff. I had asked because I was worried about my parrots. Turns out it is not good for people or animals. But then what is, right ? I am still considering getting one. I am going to check out your videos to see if you posted how to make the Lemon / Pepper sauce.

    • @JohnSanders

    • @fred306801

@@JohnSanders Sorry, perhaps I did not explain that very well. Here is a clip, " BPA-free products don't contain BPA, but they still contain chemicals, asserts Dr. Bittner, who is also founder of the testing company CertiChem. "BPA is just one set of chemicals that have estrogenic activity," he says. CertiChem found that 70 percent of products that are BPA-free still leach EA chemicals into beverages and food "
In other words the materials used to make the Ninja is Not good for people or animals.
