- It's been a long time coming but I'm super excited that my ultimate #LandRover is back from Twisted and ready to show you!
In this video I'll talk you through what's changed as we take my new and improved Defender, with its LS3 Corvette engine, for a spin. Spoiler alert, it's mega!!

I'm building one at the moment with the same engine and a 6 speed auto transmission. Watching your video and reading the comments always helps me guide the build further. Thank you for sharing
I made mine myself, but used a manual 6 speed. If that radiator is from Allisport I bet you’ll be replacing it soon, I bought one for mine and sent it back 3 times for leaks. Then gave up with them and used a standard LR pre 200tdi rad with twin fans, which has been perfect even in heavy traffic and very hot weather. Allisport was £800, LR one was £80... If you haven’t done so already I’d very strongly recommend upgrading all 3 differentials to Ashcroft ATB’s, makes it far more able to handle the power on and off road.
Most just glaze over the challenges of marrying old vehicle architecture with modern powertrain performance...I appreciated the acknowledgement that "this is still an agricultural vehicle" that requires a rolling launch. Spectacular.
Looks and sounds great. I recently did an engine swap from a V8 discovery in my defender. I managed to trash my transfer box having some fun in fields, seems you need to drift and slide it with the diff lock on!
Love it, great project and great engine. Videos featuring the family fezzas would go down a treat if they’re produced like this!

As much as I love V8s (I've had three Defender 90 V8s)...all Defenders should have a 300 Tdi or the Td5. It just suits it for what the 'car' is. A Defender is a utility vehicle, not a sports car, and should have a suitable grunty diesel engine. It looks nice, but I would have preferred the diesel - each to their own.
Sounds better than factory works v8, and of course cheaper

What model is this
What do you mean that everything you do you have to build up slowly, and 'ease' into it or it just won't take it? You should be able to just dump the pedal to the boards and have all that Chevy muscle take care of the rest and do the work for you!
Also, if you think that's power, you want to try it with a manual cog sack instead. It'd give you a third more power again, and up the economy! Nice package all the same.

I'm looking at doing similar, and I wouldn't expect any change out of around NZD$100,000.00 (50 thousand pound)

defender and comfort.. hmm.. no.. but they are nice.. and well.. even the old V8 was originally V8.. the plymouth.. so its close enough
A rough idea on the price of the swap? 👍🏽
Around $35k USD with new crate engine/transmission, conversion parts, and labor.
Now throw in an LSA blower on it.

What’s the mpg ol’sport?
I don’t know and I don’t want to know! All I do know is I fill up after 180 miles on average compared to 239 miles ish with the diesel.
