- Clorinde is finally coming out next patch. And in this build guide, I will briefly go over her kit, explain the different assumptions, rotations, and teams I’m using to calculate her damage, give her talent priority, explain her best artifact options including sets like Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy and Echoes of an offering, go over which main stats you should look for and what sub stats you need, then finally go over her best weapons including five star options such as her signature weapon Absolution, 4 stars options like Lion’s Roar and f2p weapons like Finale of The Deep & Iron sting.
Keep in mind that Clorinde is not officially out yet and info in this video is subject to change.

FYI, the signature got a buff to its passive, 12-16 now so the damage differences should be higher
I looked into it after seeing your comment, and yeah sorry my bad. Her signature weapon should be 2.39% higher. Previously 126.93% of R5 Finale of The Deep, should be now 129.32% with the change. Other 5 stars are still very close though.

@@noobbll If you already have a Black Sword, use it. The damage diff is not that high and something calcs won't show is how much easier building her will be with Black Sword.

*IMPORTANT NOTE*:
Clorinde scales extremely well with atk% getting atk% rolls on your artifacts are as good as crit dmg% rolls until you have 3000 akt
If youre using *r5 finale* of the deep for example, you need about 50 atk% assuming electro goblet with whimsy or 2p atk%,
Double atk% needs 32 atk%,
4pc tf needs 68 atk%,
If you have a noblesse user, you cut the atk% needed by about 20
True, but this isn't taking into account external attack buffs from your team - in most teams you're running her, Clorinde doesn't need to have 3k attack sitting raw in your inventory. You mentioned Noblesse, but there's a lot of other sources she'll be utilizing to boost her attack, especially since base stat buffs like that are much easier to come by than stuff like crit rate/dmg buffs.
This is a big point in favor of Overload teams compared to Quicken - while Quicken definitely has the higher potential damage ceiling, Overload teams will be significantly easier to reach her threshold with due to how much free attack they give her. Pyro Resonance, Chevreuse, and most likely Bennett on top is going to make it harder NOT to hit your 3k target than it is to hit it. Alternatively, trying to run her Quicken means you have to balance ensuring you reach 3k attack, not overcapping on crit, AND maximizing your crit damage. Not to mention that Quicken teams are going to want VV shred for Electro, and that Anemo unit means you need Nahida, or else run double Dendro and sacrifice Fischl, which makes it that much harder to build because now you have to squeeze in much higher ER requirements into her build.
Yeah the focus with this character is CD and atk%. CR is the new third substat with her.
Even if you're bringing her in a Quicken team, you still need ATK? Or is EM preferred?
@@Lumii_15 You definitely still need attack. Reaching 3k attack is THE biggest priority with this character because such a high percentage of her total damage comes from her A1 passive. Literally every other stat comes second until you reach the 3k milestone.

I appreciate how you take the time to go through her kit while showing numbers, and although they’re from beta and not 100% set in stone it’s still really helpful! I also love videos like these because as someone who tries to save up as much as they can, I wanna know if the character I’m saving up for is worth it, not just in the damage sense but seeing if their kit is easy to work with or how fun the character is. Either way, I’m super excited for Chlorinde and I’m also excited for Sethos! If you ever do a guide video for Sethos I am there! His kit, imo, is really interesting but also a little complicated. The whole gaining and losing energy with his charged shot is crazy! But good luck to anyone who is pulling for Chlorinde or whichever other 5 star you may be pulling for! Why is Shimenawa's 4pc never mentioned in these guides?

As I understand the 4pc effects, glad is a permanent 35% normal atk dmg bonus and shim is a 50% dmg bonus after using your skill and losing 15 energy. It lasts for 10 seconds which is perfect for Clorinde's 9 second stance from her E, right?
I'm asking because I happened to get decent shimenawa's pieces and tried them out on my Ningguang, it definitely increased her dmg more than the 2pc 2pc atk sets she had before even though no one recommends that set for her either.
Am I missing something?
If you won't be using her burst, then it's great. Thing is her burst isn't useless. If you can charge her up to 15 energy while setting up your rotation, and get to full energy in 9 seconds of her night watch stance to use her burst again, then it's gonna be fine. But do you really want all this headache for 15% more damage compared to Gladiator's? ;)

For those people who asking for shimenawa set it is because you lost one skill dmg.
Normally she want to brust cus
Burst - get BoL - skill(no dmg one) then skill again to get buffed attack - auto - skill - repeat.
But if you r not using brust you have to
skill(no dmg one)- auto - skill - auto - repeat
which seen like a one skill dps lot which is a lot.
She only has 9sec window to do her dmg and losting one skill dmg worse than losting extra 15% NA buff that shimenawa give.(Only 15% assuming the other set is glad).
She is not like wriothesley or scara.
Their brust are just extra dmg you can ignore since most of the time they are not build for their brust dmg.
But with clorinde you use her burst not cus you want her brust dmg but to get BoL to get one extra skill dmg in which is a lot since her stand uptime is only 9s.
It's good to know the haran i got on accident will finally have a use. although that's a whole lot of crit rate, not even counting artifacts, she will be starting at 70%.
the amount of crit rate she gets is both a blessing and a curse for crit rate weapon users.
Clorinde has more self sustain than neuvillete according to the calcs ive seen. I think she is fine with furina and i think you can remove thoma from the chevreuse team. Also she has Iframes during her lundge. So basically like a less worse version of arlechinno using her burst to not die. You delay her E to when enemy attacks kind of.
arlechino's E is also an I frame tho (the entire time where arlechino disappears is an I-frame, this is not like mona tho)
but unlike arlechino her E clironde's E is more reliable since you can spam it unlike arlechino which is 1 per rotation
arlechino's burst is bugged, its I frame is delayed so you get those BS moments where she gets KO LOL
for this reason I will use marechal hunter set I don't intend to use furina with anyone other than clorinde also I believe she will be able to activate Furina's passive which heals the entire team for a while, my team will be: clorinde, kazuha, furina and baizhu

if she can sustain her own healing while also being drained by furina's skill then yea
although hunter set might not be the best, i think the new harmonic whimsey is still the best one for her, she constantly changes her BoL and harmonic whimsey gives a solid 54% all damage bonus, while hunter gives crit rate(which is quite overkill for clorinde who ascents in crit rate)
also clorinde's damage is split along her entire kit, NA/E-skill/Burst deal pretty good damage overall and plays well with her rotation, so if you can get good harmonic whimsey substats then you can easily ignore the hunter set
but yea the new set is on a domain paired with artifact that is currently no one uses LOL

I think you can still get away with 100% ER and not doing burst every rotation, and since she spent all the time on field during her uptime maybe 130% ER is fine (not considering double electro resonance and Fischl)
We'll have to see her particle generation first, but yeah I think 130 to 140 range should be good. 30 to 40 er is not that much stats It's probably worth it for the extra e lunge attack.
I'm thinking of a quickbloom team with Clorinde as the Dps driver and hyperbloom trigger, fischl as the off field dps and battery, furina as hydro applier and buffer and proto r5 nahida as dendro applier, EM buffer and a little spread dps and AoE coverage.
But, my questions are
1. Is clorinde self healing + nahida R5 Proto Amber enough to cap on clorinde's full hp and proc furina's passive party wide healing or the healing isn't gonna be enough and I'll need baizhu (who I'm pulling anyways in this patch) to keep the team more sustainable? Would be kind of a waste because my nahida is C2 so she buffs aggravate, spread and hyperbloom
2. In such a team where clorinde procs both aggravate and most of the hyperblooms, does the value of EM weapons and thundering fury go up? Cause i have really good thundering pieces and literally 0 new set pieces. I would go with gladiator ad this point if you tell me thundering is worse even in this case
My weapon options would be finale of the deep R5 with a ton of atk from the passive, or one of the 4* EM swords like the yokai one or the iron sting. If I get lucky with the pulls and the weapon banner is good (only if I want both of the weapons like if it's hers with foliar incision) I may try to get one
1- Clorinde's self healing should be able to trigger Furina's passive. R5 amber plus Clorande is probably enough healing, so you may consider using a more offensive weapon on Nahida if you don't mind playing a more risky team for extra damage. C2 Nahida should be better.
2- It does go up. But from my own personal experience, a quickbloom team doesn't generally need alot of EM on your electro characters, especially when your only hydro character is going to be Furina. extra EM should help, but I generally wouldn't go out of my way to change my electro DPS build from a quicken build into one with higher EM.
Fischl and Clorinde will probably have the around the same ownership of hyperblooms in this team, so you don't have to invest alot of EM for Clorinde.
*For your question:* If you plan on playing hyperbloom/quickbloom alot, then sure use Thundering Fury. But using an ATK sands is still better, around 300 EM should be fine. The gap between TF and gladiators isn't that big in a quicken team, and it should only get smaller into a quickbloom/ hyperbloom team.
Use Finale of the deep, Iron sting isn't really that good.

Yeah. That's why the video said only 2p Marechaussee Hunter and 2p ATK. As for Jade Cutter, It gives 44% CRIT Rate. So you'll have around 90% CRIT Rate. I don't see a problem with that
The problem is crit rate as a substat becomes useless. And one extra good substat that is useless makes her even more difficult to build.@@Lumii_15

C1 is a good stopping point, c2 is not that big a dmg increase compared to c1, just get clorinde if you like her

Clorinde's kit has complexities on it, which may be hard to understand but I'm curious to try her.
it sounds complex but the gameplay is easy, you just have to use skill and spam N3E

Usually those --T3's-- passives are useless for 5stars when a 4star already has it. Plus, Lyney already has it either way. Wish they'd knock it off with that. It also became pretty redundant imo due to the Interactive Map. Just a wasted passive that could've been something useful.

I've been saving primos for a while and I haven't seen any youtubers cover the question really; is clorindes weapon or C1 more valuable? I plan on just using a R5 Black Sword but really wouldn't mind having a crit damage sword either if possible 😅
Longterm Mistsplitter would be your best choice, due to its flexibility: Keqing, Kaeya, Ayaka, Alhaitham, Ayato, Jean, Xingqiu, Traveler.

C1, her weapon isn't that much better than the other options and it's not really usable on other characters.
She would be broken if they made her pistol attacks scale off CA and lounge skill scale off high lounge. Hope it made sense lol.
Also i keep asking on many channels now, does her E-Skill work with Yelan/Xingqiu burst?
it should, Yelan/Xingqui active when normal attack hits or the animation is triggered. For Clorinde, the e skill damage counts as normal attack damage so it should work. (For example: Raiden's burst doesn't count as normal attack damage, but the animation still triggers Yelan & Xingqui.)

her burst is actually barely necessary and adds only a little extra damage. its a lot more worth it to stack damaging substats on her artifacts rather than energy recharge

Tbf with Fischl you won't need much ER, especially with 4pc TF. The fact that it also readily provides 120% BoL gives Clorinde quite some burst damage potential (no pun intended), which is quite useful.

I'd say R5 Finale. It has higher base attack than Black Sword, has ATK% scaling, and increases ATK through its passive, so if you do use it try to balance out all that ATK with DMG bonus from Furina, Kazuha, etc.
Black Sword notably has Crit on it which increases its value by a lot, even though it's Crit Rate and not Crit Damage. But the amount it gives isn't really enough to worry about overcapping Crit Rate since it's only 27.6%. With Clorinde's other innate sources of Crit Rate, she'd end up at about 72% Crit Rate before artifacts. Also, the unconditional Normal Attack bonus from the passive is useful, but the healing triggered on crit can mess up her Bond of Life management. This reason alone would cause me to use Finale over even an R5 Black Sword.

@@lemzo_6087 Oh, wait. I just realized something. Black Sword won't heal her. I just re-read her Skill and it's not "only healing from Clorinde," it's "only Clorinde's Elemental Skill can heal her." In that case, you could use it well enough. It still has its other issues of lopsided crit and not boosting her Burst damage, but it's not as problematic as I thought since it won't mess up her Bond of Life.
Question: Would 2 piece thundering fury 2 piece emblem work? Already prefarmed 😭
It should be fine, 2 piece attack would be better instead of ER, but you don't have to go out of your way if you already have good stats on emblem.

a BOL character who needs to have less than 100% BoL and has healing mechanic in her skin instead of burst? Why does this seem kinda busted? I mean Arlecchino's damage starts at max with whatever BoL u have, and then it starts to fall as she consumes the BOL, but you are saying Chlorinde instead stays consistent as long as she is using a combo of normal and E in her night watch state? to consistently apply Bol and heal to reduce it again?
I hate that they put Arle, Clorinde, and Furina back to back. They knew exactly how greedy that was! I plan to get Arle R1 and will definitely get either Furina or Clorinde preferably both. I just really hope that Clorinde is C0 friendly cause I’m still needing to get Yelan, one more Yae C, and an Ayaka C. After that I’m pretty much set meta wise and just about everyone else will be C0 R1 since aesthetics are more important after my account has reached sufficient strength

I feel like we are living in the same Al Haitham drama over again. Pulled for him while everyone was screaming at his low scaling. Look where he still is now. Ive heard that she is ridiculously broken in team that doesnt use dendro while most leakers use her in supraconduction/hyperbloom. Also I remember that neuvilette himself got that treatment even at his official release until people start to build and play him properly. I read her kit, it work wonderfull, thats like the most important part for me.

Why would they release another artifact set right after the new one on the very next patch? She uses bond of life mechanic so the artifact set is perfect for her. It was the same thing with Marechaussee Hunter set for Lyney, Neuvillette, Wriothesley and even Furina who uses the other artifact set in that same domain. Idk how its too good to be true when they have done the same thing already in the past.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with Arlecchino she's pretty strong. But Clorinde also looks strong. and in this case just go for whoever you like more.

You don't. if you like her, pull for her otherwise you don't really have to if you already have those characters.

You missed why thundering fury is so strong on her, even more so than all other sets. It gives her 100% uptime on her E ability, as the cooldown starts on it as you click it. You can effectively have infinite E uptime, which absolutely trumps all other sets.
For that be worth it, you need to have buffers that have more than a minimum off 18sec uptime(2 times her E duration). Considering that you need around 5 sec to make a entire team rotation, you will never need to wait her E cd even without thundering. And in a thundering fury case, buffer like xingqiu and furina that have 18sec uptime will provide buff to her for only ~14-15sec, so she will hit for around 3-4sec without any buff, loosing much dmg.
But with Xingqiu that have 20sec cd on his Q or other buffer with long cd, that can be a good option(but continues to be a really especific cenario)

Her BiS artifact might actually be Thundering Fury, since it lets her use her skill twice per rotation, letting Nahida / Kazuha / Fischl re-apply their stuff in the process mid-rotation, without impacting her (she loses her skill stance if she leaves the field, which is not an issue here).
Damage per rotation skyrockets with it.
So mostly in the context of Quicken teams innit

HP changes and BoL is quite different, one of the reasons why Arlecchino also doesn't use it.

nope, her attacks when using skill are not considered skill dmg, but normal attack dmg. So you cannot use golden troupe on her
No, she does no elemental skill damage. She works just like Ayato. Her skill has its own normal attack multipliers, so you need to level skill instead of normal attack talent, but the damage itself is classified as normal attack damage. Anything that says skill damage will do nothing for her.

Normally she want to brust cus
Burst - get BoL - skill(no dmg one) then skill again to get buffed attack - auto - skill repeat.
But if you r not using brust you have to
skill(no dmg one)- auto - skill - auto - repeat
which seen like a one skill dps lot which is a lot.
She only has 9sec window to do her dmg and losting one skill dmg worse than losting extra 15% NA buff that shimenawa give.(Only 15% assuming the other set is glad)

not really, the crit damage is good, but the HP bonus is wasted on Clorinde and the elemental skill damage buff does not work on Clorinde since her electro infused attacks are counted as normal attack damage. You can still use it though, since it has alot of crit damage, it should be around 10 - 15% better than R5 finale of the deep, and behind PJC.

I think that could work. But from what I saw, Clorinde can't be healed, like Arlecchino. But I think you can still take advantage of Furina's Fanfare stacks. I'm most likely wrong though

@@VideoGamer8 i run my arle without shields its just pretty annoying when in low hp and you are desperate for heals to keep her alive she receives nothing, if she died in abyss its pretty much over restart again.
You cant dodge forever you only get 5 dodges cuz dodge stamina costs soo much there are many monsters that uses AoE heavy dmg i frames or not the distance of dodging is pretty small and a low window to do it.
The bond of life of arle without infusion you are still in that state you cant heal the burst is only your heal C1 will fix those problem but its locked in a pay wall.

@@josesoldevilla3092 arle is the one character who you can genuinely say "skill issue" for. I don't have an issue using her in abyss and she's hardly super low for me (no shield). Dehya is also a great option for her
