People really overstate how bad "too much crit rate" is really. People she doN't use MH hunet you can just use crit rate-less crit damage criclet or other artifacts without crit-rate. Or what, everyone only kept there 50 CV pieces with 10 crit rate each? In reality it is just make building her easier because you can go for more EM, ATK% or CD. Self evidently you cannot decide where your artifacts will roll, but it is true in all situation really.
He clearly lays out why crit rate overcap is a serious concern
her Ascension gives her 19.2% CR, and her A4 gives her another 20%. This is some of the most CR any character gets just from their base kit. As someone who is building a Marechaussee Neuvillette with Sacrificial jade it is INCREDIBLY hard to only get CD or HP% rolls. Crit Rate is always there and it always gets rolled into. Of course overcapping by like 6% isn't that big of a deal, but making building her easier is always a win
@@ThundahPrime My argument was thet it is not "always" there. I mean, fair, you can be really unlucky and literally not getting artifacts without crit rate, but generally crit rolls are rarer so you can level up non crit rate artifacts more easier then not. As example I think a lot of person get crit damage circlet with generally good substats like ATK%, EM or ER% but without crit rate, now you can use this artifacts well if you have a crit rate weapen with Chlorende.
I think this type of critisism not always true and really depends on the individual accounts. Some person have very bad crit luck so for them having so much in-build crit is really good. Yeah, if you have increadible crit rolls min maxing her will be hard, but generally so much in build crit rate would mean for most people thet they can go for lower "quality" artifacts with bunch of ATK%, EM and ER% (less ER% she don't need a lot) and they will still have good experience with her.
And for your example is funny becausee I builded Neuvilette with Sacroficial because I just didn't had enough crit rate with my artifacts even after MONTHS of farming thet cursed domain. So I guess I am the example for the other side of the question, for the people who had not good enough luck to get enough crit rate even on MH. The imporatn thing is really thet it is not an objective flaw, important to point out to people to know what artifacts stats are more important to look out for her, but it is not really can called a "harder" to build when she give herself crit-rate the hardest stat to get enough generally.
@@ThundahPrime Anyone who has played Ganyu or Ayaka is well familiar with the "threat" of over-capping. Just means you have room for other stats on your artifacts. Circlets can be exclusively CD. Hitting 100% CR isn't a negative -- it's just something to be aware of and to plan accordingly.

Yes, She Will have 40 cr from her kit. this means that She want near 40 cr to reach the classic 80% , almost the same as ayaka.
Also, with clorinde there Is not a downside on having more than 40% on substats.
With ayaka at 45cr you reach 100% critrate. With Clorinde you are at 85.
Considering that Clorinde has so many instances of damage, crit with all of them Is not necessary, but still Is not a bad thing if you reach near 100% cr . To reach that you would Need 60% critrate, so as long as you do not have a cr weapon on her, finding 60% critrate Is not Easy at all.
What i mean Is: i don't think that She Will be hard to build at all, unless youbare using a cr weapon. in that case, yes, i agree. But at this point Is Just "you" making that hard more than her being hard to build
An ATK scaling Electro is pretty meh to me. She's Keqing 2.0... I'll take an EM scaler any day because Electro is only good with Dendro imo. Overload is still solely dependent on C6ing a new 4 star character, and mono teams are the worst since you have to bench them any time you run into the wrong elemental shields.
Dont forget about new “Abyss”
They want you to utilize more characters
they should have made chevreuse buff EM too because iirc overload scales off EM

Hoyo does that only with 1 character every region. But surprisingly they made water dragon and the 4th harbinger insane. So nope she will prolly be balanced at most
There's something I would like to ask. Does she use her electro infused sword after activating elemental skill like keqing? Or she only uses her gun in elemental skill?

Idk, I’m kind of on the fence of pulling now. I already have C3 Raiden and a Yae Miko, both with their weapons too. I like Clorinde’s design and Japanese VA, but she has to be fun or bring something new.
I was planning on pulling for her and getting a couple Chevreuse cons, but new leaks say Furina is second phase in 4.7 so i guess i'll have to skip her. Arle's banner left me dry, never pulling for weapons again xD.
Do you think she is worth it if i already have a C2R1 Raiden as my Electro dps (and i also have Keqing, Yae, Fischl, Beidou, Sara & Kuki built)?
WIth a C2 Raiden, Clorinde will not be better, but keep in mind that Clorinde plays (mostly) in different teams as well
I’m definitely getting chorinde but my c2 Raiden about to get benched and something about that doesn’t sit right with me. Plus I don’t think I’ll get chorinde weapon so I was wondering is mistsplitter better?
mistplitter is not better than her signature, but it's her third best weapon

@@ballistic_1607 nah her signature weapon is hardly better then Mist splitter and Harran so like it legit doesn't matter I would 100% go with mist splitter if i had it (note that the weapon still can be buffed however even if it gets buffed it highly unlikely that it would become way better then mist splitter) so like honestly go for mist splitter unless her signature receives the craziest buff ever

I'm probably gonna be skipping her but might consider her rerun. Personally I just don't really find her kit all that interesting and she doesn't really add anything to my account that I don't already have out of an electro character. For me she's kind of in a same state as Arlecchino where she's kind of just another on-field main-dps character of her element but unlike Arlecchino I don't really care much for her design, character, or gameplay.
The only bad things about Clorinde is no interruption resistance. With her skill has uptime a single knockback would lose a lot of damage.

Do y’all think I should pull for clorinde or arlecchino? I need another dps and both of them are characters that I really love and I’m having a hard time deciding. (I have absolutely NO dendro characters other than collei and kaveh and no chevruse either. But if I save for clorinde I’ll most probably -with no guarantee- be able to get either r1 or c1. Currently at 65 pity w guaranteed and I have 20 pulls so basically guaranteed one limited 5* and idk which one arlecchino banner is ending soon PLEASE HELP)

In my opinion, before Genshin releases characters they should at least have a showcase for the damage with talents, 8,8,8. Now you may say that, we have trials for them! This should be needed because for the people who want to prefarm for her

so i am a new player and ive stacked up some primo gems. my main dps rn is keqing since i got her at the very beginning and i dont know if i should pull for clorinde or wait and pull for furina since she will be next on banner... are there any good player who could help me out would be very appreciated ;)
Definitly get Furina! Clorinde and Keqing do the same thing, with Clorinde just being an upgrade. Furina will allow you to play more teams!

Just because a character can selfheal does not mean you don't need a heaaler/shielder. Few people can dodge perfectly.
Clorinde converts heals in bol, so would be interesting to see if She really like to have healers are batteries for her

Arle's problem is like every melee unit's problem when diving in mobs full of elemental reactions, you can't see shit!
This is why I never used a melee unit in coop.. I wish devs gives more emphasis on indicating debuffs or hp or at least lessen the cluster of effects but everyone know that will never happen along with tons qols but tcg qols yeah, every patch like our accounts depend on it
that's not an issue for everyone, which is why there's a setting to turn co-op teammate effects off or partially off. same thing for your personal character effects. it doesn't look bad either. so it's a great setting for those of us who want all the big shinies and those of us who don't
So my top 300 c1 fischl isn't good 4 clorinde. sadness
My only hesitation for getting Clorinde is the fact that I have C3 Raiden. I just feel there's nothing she does that Raiden doesn't at that point. If Chevreuse is on Clorinde's banner I might pull anyway because I only have C0 Chevy

You forgot to compare her to cyno, how can I live without knowing who is better in quickbloom.
Cyno would probably be better in hyperbloom since we would build him with em anyways while clorinde doesn't really want em. Clorinde's personal dmg would be higher but the hyperblooms wouldn't do as much dmg if you build clorinde without em and if you build clorinde with em her dps wouldnt be great.

She's not a skip because she actually deals 60000000k dps, our current units come a little bit close to that but this number is still 12341456% higher than neuvillette so she's a mandatory pull
I have no doubt clorinde will be strong just like the other fontaine onfielders, i dont even need to look at leaks to be certain she will be stronger than others in the element
