I'm all for making things better and more convenient, but not at the cost of a community's voices and culture. There has to be a fine line somewhere between instead of either extreme, but unfortunately people like the Muzzlers see things as black and white and want to make everything their color, their way, but thankfully the LES is a rainbow of colors and sounds that will never be silenced, not when Moon Girl and Double D are around
I swear, this show does not hold back and I love it. It may not be the most subtle thing ever, but dang if seeing a young black girl stand with her community against folks literally trying to silence their voice isn't inspiring or doesn't hit home. Peak cartoon and peak superhero right here.
I love this episode! Moon Girl, Devil, and the community stood up to those horrid inventors of the Mega Muffler. "WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED!" is what I hear as Moon Girl, Devil, and the people play loud and proud!
You’re preaching to the choir my friend. If more people spoke up against the injustices and small minds of the world there be more open minds in the world.
I legit teared up watching this. I am a community organizer and regularly have to deal with a bunch of gentrifying people complaining about "noise" and "closed streets" and just FUCK THEM! Let the communities thrive!
this may be an odd comparison to make but when lunella destroyed the robot and the music came roaring back it reminded me of the comet scene from the ghost and molly mcgee. disney truly knows how to make a scene emotional in all the right ways
it like in real life when someone needs someone to be the hero in the story or someone to give people hope again sometimes we end up becoming the hero and end up giving not only the people back there heroes but also hope
I'm so sick of people only now, just shaming a Cartoon for doing Woke crap. Newsflash, they have been doing that since the Late 80's and Early 90's. The most popular to do it was static shock and animaniacs. So don't complain to every cartoon That talks about recent stuff that is relevant. This is a good episode, period. Has the best messaging, sound design, animation, color palette, and great natural pacing that flows well within the episode. If You don't think this is great, Then I don't know what impresses you.
It isn't just you, Flying Bark Animation is really just good at choreographing dynamic action. For reference, these are the same animators behind Rise of the TMNT and Glitch Techs.
Why did they both have to be white? Probably reading into this too much, but the only villains who Moon Girl needs to work with the rest of the LES and actually threaten the community as a whole are always white (I.e. these weirdos and Aftershock). Granted there is Morlak, but he didn't exactly threaten the LES directly, nor did Moon Girl need a village's worth to beat him despite him being the main villain of the season. Hopefully they'll make up for it in season 2 (god willing it happens), preferably with someone like Dr Nightshade. She could be a dark reflection of Lunella. Also her in werewolf mode vs Lunella with Devil's brain looks so cool in my head. It'd be like a toned down version of Wolverine vs Sabertooth.
Dude, that is probably on purpose. In the USA white people have the most privilege. Therefore I think it’s symbolic that the only villains powerful enough to threaten an entire Poc majority community are white. It symbolizes the power white people have over poc irl.
This fight scene hit so close to home! Always satisfying to see a POC community led by a black female superhero take down oppression

Gives new meaning to the phrase, “PLAY IT LOUD AND PROUD” doesn’t it?

Reminds me of horton hears a who. Nothing is more powerful than a community coming together refusing to be silenced.

Peak moment. This is why I love superheroes.
1:13 That boy on the right looks like Jake Long from American Dragon. Which was mentioned in the episode's wiki
He kinda does
He’s supposed to Be Jake Long
Yeah! You're right. His design is altered a bit but that's him. Did not expect him to a make a cameo in a marvel show of all things.
He even has the green sheen in his hair

White's are racist as you already knew.
this episode focuses on gentrification which is often done by white people smartass

Wait what about gravitas he nearly destroyed the rink and everyone including moon girl in it
@fanboythecool7478 Not really, while impressive he's mainly a b-list version of Graviton at most. And he wasn't the focus of the story.
