so they could've add more stations...widen the gauge on the track, and make the heavy train go into main part of Gold Coast and airport...instead they went for a highway connection, despite it being proven time and time again making more highways with lanes wont do...much within long term of palnning.
In ~20 years or so the houses behind the Coomera Connector (Hope Island Station) will be resumed to widen the road.... The joys of the Gold Coast where no long term planning of major north-south roads were never planned.
That road corridor running next to tracks runs all way down the coast through Nerang to around Burleigh. " Proposed future road corridor" GC is not a place that is serious about long term residents. Get em in, fleece em, and get em to leave. If they don't leave make it uninhabitable.

I think they said local traffic couldn’t handle it on the off roads. Pushing problems elsewhere and creating new ones.
Should have upgraded rail system instead of this monstrosity. Prime koala and farm land destroyed to create future congestion.
