TH40 was my first handgun purchase in October 23' and has been my EDC ever since. Over 500 rounds at the range and no failures yet. I am not disappointed.
I just love the taurus you all have really stepped it up..i have the g2c,g3,g3x,tx22c,th40 just love them all and go bang everytime very pleased with you taurus keep up the good work, you are awesome.
They make a p365 competitor the Taurus gx4 carry model shoots as well if not a little better then the p365 and was Gun and Ammo gun of the year in 2021 or 22
Great video you have definitely earned yourself a fan and subscriber glad to find another Taurus collector such as myself any chance we're going to get a full size G4 line in the near future possibly in 9,40,10 or possibly a PCC in the same calipers
I am a revolver guy at heart but I am starting to add some "bottom feeders" to my stable. I _really_ appreciate that Taurus is keeping the DA/SA alive. I really wish they had the 45 in compact form. Don't apologize for buying te 40. It is actually far superior to the 9mm. As to the DA trigger at close range it is really a non-issue for defense. For longer ranges thumb cocking the hammer is really not significantly slower than disengaging the safety on a SAO.
BTW, how is the trigger reach. I have short stubby fingers. The Bersa Thunder 380 fits me well but am hoping to find something in a bigger caliber (40 or 45 would be ideal).
Nah it’s awesome we make cool shit and I get to drive product development. It’s the best job I’ve had in over 15 years in the professional firearms indistry
The dovetail, as a method of fitting something to something else, has been around as long as metalworking itself (longer in wood working). Glock uses a specific shape for their firearms, and do to the popularity of Glock, has standardized the fit (in Glock world) - but any other dovetail sights should fit, even if the foot of the sight has to be filed/sanded down. If you find some you like, but do not fit, drop it off at your local gunsmith to have them fitted to the slide. They can probably do it while you wait, it is not a big job, nor expensive. So his comment about the sights should be read 'it will not fit Glock sights - but standard dovetail can be fitted without much effort - if they do not already fit out of the box.'
@@scott1152 I’m in Brazil, and here the options are few and the restrictions are many rss, I look for something more specific to try to import, here is difficult to know which fits why we do not have access for comparison, thank you very much for the help.
I wonder why you have so many downvotes? Also, 40 is the goat. More capacity, less recoil, and a smaller frame than 45, but guaranteed penetration (per the Miami-Dade test) even with a slightly sub-optimal ammo choice. Ideal ammo choice still won't over-penetrate, so really, the only thing bad about it is that there are a lot of detractors who just have soft hands and loud mouths on social media.
@@turbo-bike7999 Well the stainless steel used by many manufacturers of many products (including firearms) isn't magnetic.. so that would not be the 'test' for me. If you look at how thin the outer spring retainer lip is, it is obviously not polymer. The inner rod is not polymer either, you can hear it. There may possibly be a polymer cuff/collet that holds the two together (T've seen them separately, not taken it apart myself) and Taurus support says its all metal - which was your inquiry.
Not going to debate.. Cut through your 'polymer' assembly, then take the springs off and put them on the TH9 assembly from Lakeline LLC (as an example)
Ultimately, there's little to no terminal ballistic difference between the two calibers, and 9mm gets me more rounds on board and better access to ammo

Nice to see the TH series getting some love finely. I'm leaning towards the 9mm but wouldn't mind another full size 40
Keep doing what you do. Subscribed.
Any chance you could convince the folks at Taurus to make a DA/SA Glock 48, P365, etc. equivalent?
Check out bersa thunder 380 plus
@@DARTHDANSAN I’d rather buy a Hi Point
Probably not, pretty sure taurus has already been previously sued by glock for doing exactly that.....If im not mistaken .
Thats what the gx4 line basically is

Can the TH40 be converted to Decocker Only if it comes standard with a safety/decocker?

It’s fine, I have about average sized hands so it works well. Shorter than a Beretta 92 certainly, and the gun has adjustable backstraps
Good review! I’m a 40 S&W guy and at the moment do not have a hammer fired 40, may get one thanks
Big shilling
I literally work for Taurus

Great Analysis. A+ Best TH40 review ever.
Excellent video thanks for the vdeo and time 👍
Any insight on the Gx4 carry? There is very little out here on them. I picked one up last week and so far, so good.
The sights on this gun, is it compatible with any other pistol?

Where do i get spare parts for Taurus firearms?
shoptaurus.com
Anyone know if the th40c will fit a Th9c holster?
Yeah it will. I had a th40c for a long while & carried it in a th9c holster

Where can fully metal recoil springs assemblies for the TH40 be sourced?
You mean other than Taurus directly - for $9.99 - ??
The one which comes in the gun AND the replacement are hybrid metal/ polymer. Maybe you should put a magnet on the forward part of the assembly.

Kool I’m looking at the TH9C being my first hammer fired Pistol
Solid option
I would also like to see a conversation kit for decock only
Now that would be sick
You mentioned that you'd prefer 9 over the 40, why is that?

What holster did you use ?
I need that bro .
Love it. Love affordable guns that run
When will you review the Taurus 10mm? I've seen a less than stellar review from someone who normally likes everything that's inexpensive.
I’ve only seen a couple of reviews, one of which was so bad I could barely get through it
I have a th40 and Taurus doesn't really have a good support system for the TH series of pistols. Should have night sights trigger upgrades etc
Id buy one if Taurus will make an optic ready model.
How about getting with someone at Taurus about getting some friggin tan and browns into this country..... Also - how about working on a TH45C.
They have those in Brazil but I think they mostly come from Guatemala and Honduras at the moment.
I have the th9 they fire the same to me smooth
Love the trolling of 1911
Is that Jesus on the cross on your wall?
Sure looks like it. Looks like he's Catholic.
I just bought one ❤
