Wow! a Taurus in a hard case! I have enough Taurus, Ruger, and Swith&Wesson cardboard boxes to keep my fireplace happy for quite a while. It would be great to see a shooting video of that exquisite find.
Nice review. I just tonight bought one from Buds Gun Shop for $303.49. Also got a 3rd magazine for $27.99. They claim "free shipping" but they charged me $16.75 and called it "insurance" 🤥. After that and my local taxes it came to a grand total of $368.12. Then when it gets to my FFL another $18 for the transfer so $386.12, you can't win. See how a $300.00 piece becomes nearly a $400 one 😵💫,. They got us coming and going.
@@jamalheath4741 Took it out yesterday for the first time. It's intimidating to say the least. I had a hard time trying to figure out the upLula magazine loaders, as those magazines are very stiff for being so new. I loaded 5 rounds in each mag of different brands and grains, fired all 10 and it kicked like a mule. Trigger is not the greatest, so I figured that will be the bane of this gun for the price I paid for it. It will take a lot of practice to get comfortable with this gun and to be accurate with it.
@Deinis de Sousa Don't fear the reaper, take her to the range and try it out. Learn the loading process , maybe at home till your catch on the uplula loaders. Shoot it, hold on tight, It is not a competition gun which runs in the thou$ound$. Take your time. Remember, this is basically a good self defense gun, or carry in deep backwoods country against dangerous hoomans, and 4 legged creatures. In other words. go to the range or find some quiet country roads, and fire away.
Best competitor to this that I know of would probably be the S&W sd40ve, which can be found for similar prices. Granted you don’t get the hard case or the back straps and mag loader. But what you do get is Smith & Wesson quality. Including a better quality finish and construction as well as proven reliability. You also get a lifetime warranty too which is nice. But that being said it is a striker fired gun so they’re almost in two different categories still. And if you’re gonna get a S&W you might as well get their premium line of m&p’s. Considering they can be found for not much more used. Sometimes even new too depending on the model. This gun still seems to be a very high value for the price and I’m definitely thinking of picking one up.
Sdve in 9 or 40 i think are trash. My buddies had both and I shot both and thank God I did before I wasted my money. Now thats just my opinion. I think the taurus is far superior gun and I'm not a gun snob on any make or model or cost. What I feel is clunky junk the next guy might like. Idk. I jist wouldnt recommend them s&w models to anyone. Id tell them save there money and buy something else.
Before the "TH" model came out the 9mm version was the "809" and "809c" with minor cosmetic differences. The 40cal was probably the "840". Smooth recoil impulse from my experience.
Don't forget it has a decocker when u press the safety down all the way. I've been scouting this pistol out for so long I probably know da damn specs by heart.
