Kolsay and Kaindy Lake Tent Camping

Kolsay Lakes National Park is located on the north slope of the Tian Shan Mountains, southeast Kazakhstan which often referred to as "Pearls of Tien Shan". Lake Kaindy is a 400-meter-long lake located 129 kilometers east-southeast of the city of Almaty and is 2,000 meters above sea level. The lake reaches depths of nearly 30 meters. When we visited these 2 lakes, we had a goal not only to see them with a quick day hike, but to experience camping near them. This was one of our bucket list destinations for awhile now and when we saw them in person, we realized that the pictures and videos do not interpret the beauty and uniqueness they were presented with. Our family adventures had just begun as international campers and we couldn't wait to see what lies ahead of us.
