We had issues renting electric scooter in the Keruen Saray, because it wouldnt take our american credit card. To move around the city, taxi is cheap, but make sure to negotiate. In the south cities people are more willing to negotiate on everything. In the more developed cities and districts they have electric scooters for rent. Turkistan not as developed with "tourist" infrastructure as some of the other major cities like Almaty, Nursultan, Kostanay or Povladar. Although we had US driver licenses, we also had International Driver License as well. The police never cared about the International Driver License, the few times we were pulled over they checked our American Driver License. My recommendation to have both, just in case. Enjoy!
