When I see passengers without seat belts on like de guys behind u bro Ug Connect I get moved, we hav lost many lives in road carnages for negligence of such road safety gears! Its actually de responsibility of de driver to behold all adhere to road traffic rules! Safety belt put on in a road accident can safe life, be responsible, I cant say it enough! Safe journeys!

60 cents for a bottle of Fanta where out here you can pay $5.00 for a can at a gas station of 7/11 is insane. I'd buy it, but it would take me time getting used to all the vendors barging inside my car like that to be honest.., but I'd support them though because they just trying to make a living. Good video brother, keep it up!

I'm curious bro, I don't see as many folks speaking Swahili in Ug, which I'm more comfortable with. I mean I'm abroad for the time being but I lived in Nairobi for some 6/7 years before emigrating for study work etc. I've met a number of Tanzanians out here over the years and obviously they speak hardcore Swahili, in Kenya obviously too, but I noticed in Ug, it seems not so much? Probably I'm just out of touch, but I say this because not all of us understand the different mother tongues, but besides English, I find it easy to communicate with Kenyans and Tanzanians because of the common tie of Swahili. I plan on coming back (to UG) for 3 months around July this year as I have vacation leave from work... It's gonna' be a wild ride, besides English my concern is being able to communicate with most of yall on the ground, in Swahili if possible because besides my tribal/mother tongue, this is the next common language (at least in East Africa) I'm comfortable with. Anyway again, great vid and PEACE N' BLESSINGS!

Swahili language in Uganda 🇺🇬 got seriously marginalized during the early days of independence in the 1960s. The Buganda separatists who were agitating for "federo"/independence for Buganda Kingdom rejected Swahili as "foreign language". The civil conflicts in Uganda since 1966 to the early 1990s ensured that Swahili was completely forgotten, with no policy to integrate it into our educational system. It's only recently that government adopted a policy that makes Swahili language compulsory in schools. I think it will take 100 years for Uganda to catch up with Kenya 🇰🇪 or Tanzania 🇹🇿 as far as Swahili is concerned.

@@maggien1119 let me hope you speak and write excellent English (at least). Because without knowledge of the Swahili language, Ugandans are already facing terrible economic disadvantage in business within the expanded East African Community subregion. This is a huge market of 300+ million people. Your Luganda language can't compete or help you except in Uganda.
