as an ancillary rotation. So I can only speak for my 2 days shadowing. But as you can imagine it was a lot of knowledge that went over my head. However, it was VERY interesting. I may interview one of my friends if their ok with it and I have enough people interested.
Hey man I'm enjoying your videos man watching several but I have a question I have a family and a job my wife has mentioned that I may need to leave my job and get something else but, is this doable after all is said and done I do plan to get my emt done before hand and work as an emt while I go to school but will the school and job work around my schedule is this possible

@@DaybidR Sorry for the late reply but what I meant is that X ray school is REALLY HARD, not everyone gets through it. It's like a new language and it requires all of your time. You basically have no life for the 2 years you're in school lol. Of course I always try to relax here and there and exercise and do other things etc but it really takes a toll on your mental and physical health, but the outcome is worth it. As of right now I'm struggling with a class trying to get my grade up in order to save my position in the program. It's tough but I'm determined to pass it and I will💪🏽 but hey if you're up for the challenge, nothing will stop you from being successful! It's going to be tough but anything good dosen't come easy.
Wasted five years figuring out on what I wanted to be and doing all of these courses and failing and passing but now I’m trying to pursue this career. I’m doing my pre-requisites right now and trying to get better grades as well. Watching your videos has inspired me even more ! Thank you! 🙌🏼

I’m so excited and happy for you! ❤️ Enjoy the journey. I’ll be honest there will be ups and downs. But just keep the faith and the end goal in mind. You are so very welcome. See you at the top!
I just started thinking about becoming a radiology tech after having to constantly get GI scans after a surgery. The techs and the radiologists were always the nicest people at the hospital and made me feel so comfortable every time I had to get a scan. It’s inspired me to work towards this career 😌
I’m aiming for this now lol, I wasted my first year of college lost and confused on what to pursue. Now that I know what I’m aiming for, imma shoot my shot.
Personal question, Do you like your job, was it worth the while of this degree, and although, money is important in life... I want to really be in the healthcare, because I am person that has many family members. By the time I've reach 23 I've been to several funerals, but looking back I said "If I join the healthcare field, I believe I can help others." Do you enjoy that or do you enjoy being in the medical field? I just want to know more about it (Currently, in college just finished AS Generals no idea where to go from here)...
Let me know how it goes!!! I’m in X-ray school right now and it’s a blast Edit: I just graduated from high school last year so depending on what school you go to you might get the wow factor from others because of your age. But if you look past that then it’s a blast
So I'm 35 and looking to start a career as a radiologic technician or radiation therapist. Videos like yours are proving to be extremely helpful. Thanks and keep it up!
I worked as a mechanic for 5 years and I finally decided I was done with it and wanted to cha ge careers. You gave me the inspiration to follow the radiology program that I'll start in August. So thank you for making the video and giving alot of people that inspiration that well need either starting out or continuing the program.
I loved this video!! I just passed my board exam, so i’m officially an RT as well. It’s nice having these type of videos to relate to. I’m glad I found your channel. Definitely subscribed☺️
I was scared to apply as I know it's not just pressing buttons and it's a hard program to stay in. I didn't know if I would be able to get into the program but I final got my acceptance letter into the program and I'm building more confidence to push myself to give it my all during these upcoming two years! Thanks for making this channel !
2 minutes in, first video I’ve seen from this guy. First impression- my man is so positive!! Definitely deserves for views and subs than he currently has!
I got you bro! No worries. This is why I love what I do. Ya’ll inspire me. “In the end, everything will be great. If it’s not great right now, then it’s not the end!” Ty for the comment ✊🏽
In 2016 I fractured a bone in my foot at the beach because I’m clumsy af. I’ll always remember that trip to the hospital because I got the coolest X-Ray tech named Spencer who told me out of all the jobs he’s ever had this was the best job he’s ever had and that I should look into it. Immediately I began looking into it and even took a few pre-reqs. Because I’m not the biggest fan of school I eventually stopped going. I still regret not sticking it out because four years later I still feel passionate about it and there’s not much else that has interested me career wise. I could’ve been done by now but it’s never too late to go back and seeing your video was the reminder I needed that it’ll all be worth it! Thanks for the great content!
I got 12 weeks till I get that diploma and take the registry, love the video and energy! It’s an awesome career, the setting, you’re the boss of your machine, and how many different people you see and can give hope or care to that others wouldn’t, I hope to start a channel up when I get my show on the road, it’s been a grind! I’m 25 years old with a wife and 2 year old son, I’ve been at my moms for clinicals and school because I can afford to cover my own place but this career will set me up for life 🤙🏼 Love it man and positive vibes all around, keep it up!!
thank you and thank you sharing! 1st video didn't know what I was doing but radiate them positive vibes. Glad you found your passion. You're going to do great as a tech. Best of luck!
I fw your vibe especially since you’re just starting out your RUclips channel you seem hella advanced , I was shook seeing that you don’t have a lot of followers bc ur content and editing is fireee
Awww i appreciate your kinda words! I owe that to my medical field experience since 2010 as a patient transporter. Other than that, just sharing my knowledge ❤️
Rey, thank you! I am so grateful to have found your channel! Seriously, its an answer to many prayers! I'm currently a student finishing my prerequisites, and just yesterday I got my invitation letter to interview for the program! The anxiety has already started to set in, but after watching this video and listening to your insight, it has given me that extra push that I needed! I'm now stoked for my interview, and I'm so excited for this opportunity! I literally cannot thank you enough! 💜 here's to the start of an amazing journey! I can feel it! 🙌💪
My apologies. I noticed my reply didn’t go through, while i was at work one day. But congrats! And i am so happy to hear that 😃 Please keep me updated and how every goes. I’m excited for you!
Loved the video! Currently taking my pre- requests for the program at my community college and I’ve put it on pause as I just had a baby girl about two months ago. Eventually gonna get back into the groove of things and keep pushing for my ultimate goal of being a dr in radiology, opening my own practice and connecting with a school so their students can train at my facility. Hoping to kick start my own RUclips channel too from the side of being a mother and still trying to work full time and go to school full time to show it is possible when you truly want it. New sub! Excited to watch more videos!
My apologies! I realized my reply didn’t go through. Sometimes I’m at work and the service is spotty. But I appreciate you! And props to you for your drive ✊🏽please keep me updated. I’ll see you at the top!
I actually recently decided to pursue my dream and go into the radiology field. Rad tech school here I come!! Gotta take my pre reqs and I have a lot of work to do. I’m currently a traveling AV Tech and I’m sick of this bullshnozzle. I’ll be the first in my family to go to college so I’m creating my own legacy! I’m hyped but nervous. So I have no guidance whatsoever. Let’s get it!
I’m excited for you! Sounds awesome. I have no doubt you’ll do great if you put your heart into it. The journey of 10000 miles starts with 1 step.. AV tech as in audio visual? Maybe you can help me out with my channel lol
X-ray Rey Lol Yea, I’m an audio visual tech. Was en electronic repairman in the Army. Kind of been job hopping since 2016. Chasing this money is for the birds. Which is why I start my pre reqs in the fall. Hey, I can make some excellent recommendations for lighting and recording equipment. Or if you need some quality sound applications, I got you. Anyways, I didn’t do too well In high school but I did graduate. So I’ll probably have to take a few courses before my pre reqs but I’m at the point where I’m willing to do whatever it takes to start working in the medical field. It’s been my dream forever but I recently took a serious interest in radiology. My end goal is to practice interventional radiology.
We all have our paths in life. I’m excited for you and can’t wait to hear about your journey 🙌🏽 I actually was fortunate enough to get in touch with a family friend who has all the equipment i need! Thank you though, I appreciate it.
Something told me to watch your video while I’m getting ready for my 3rd week of clinical rotation. I was feeling so unmotivated and just exhausted by the program and I just needed a little pick me up, this was definitely it! I’ll be continuing to be watching your future videos for advice and tips! You’re doing great! 👍🏾
Thank you so much I have been interested in being a Radiological technologist I am 18 and I cant wait to get into I appreciate it I am graduating this year from high school and this helped alot
I’m currently going through my first year to get my LMRT certificate but I’m still going to get my associates to be a full on RT and oh my goodness finding this channel is a God send I’m full on watching this channel all the time
I thought you were over confident at first but through out the video I found you very genuine bro. You remind me of myself, you like to enjoy yourself. Congrats on your career path you should be very proud, and I’m thinking and researching a career here in Vegas. I have no prior education and am trying to educate myself on where to start. Any thoughts?
I'm in the program right now and I had this on my watch later list for whatever reason. I put it on in the background to work on my grocery order, and as soon as you started talking, I stopped and gave it my full attention. Bro, what a beautiful message of positivity and hope! One of the things that really surprised me in our program was how supportive the second years have been to us. I just assumed they'd take pleasure in our pain since they suffered, too, but man, they've gone out out of their way to help us! It's amazing seeing that spirit going beyond our school. Thanks for doing what you're doing. #subscribed
you gave me the goosebumps! I appreciate your kinda words. That's the juice that keeps me going. But if anything we're just paying it forward. Life isn't easy. We're just trying to make it easier.
I am so so so so glad I found your channel!!!!! I cannot believe finally someone who has a channel as a radiology technologist. I have spent months trying to find a channel and nothing. Only Dr.Cellini's channel but he's a doctor and not a technologist. And like you said all/most channels out there are outdated ....I am currently in the program in my second semester and I'm looking forward to keep watching your videos!!
I love it! It really inspires and motivates me when i read comments like this. Exactly why i started it. Ty for your comment and if you have any suggestions for videos lmk please! Keep me updated on your journey 🙌🏽
I just signed up for school last week. I want to become a x ray technician. Im nervous as heck and don't even know where to start. hoping to meet with a counselor soon. Congrats on completing the program. Hope I can make it there too!
I’m 26 Cambodian and Thai American and applied for fafsa hopefully I’m able to be good at this. I’m nervous but I’m really serious about doing this as a career for the rest of my life.
I graduated in 2018 when I was 24. I currently work in Neurointerventional Radiology directly treating emergent stroke patients. There's a wide range of career paths being an RT.
Thank you for this video I know for a fact medical is my calling but I’ve been pushing it to the side I’m 22 now looking to pursue your video help me really made up my mind that I can do this and not to think twice and just go for it... thanks again brother and god bless

I work with different modalities for exam xrays, mri, ct ultrasound mammogram etc I need to get into the program!! I love all the techs I work with and they are amazing same with the our radiologists! So happy for you congratulations
At 53 I’m looking to become an X-ray and CT Scan Tech. Right now ima Patient Transporter. Looking forward to moving up. I’m always fascinated by these. I’m looking forward to learning something new
I went to a trade school for Hvac passed 2 years ago but I ended up not likeing the trade so I’m Looking into this program now coming from a totally different career
Thank you for this!!! I’m excited to apply into this program next Fall! Currently need 3 more classes to finish my pre reqs! I’m excited to see you grow as a Radiology Tech & learn from you during my time as a Rad Tech student!! 💓
Any tips for applying to a program? When you got accepted did you have C's from classes? Interview tips? Do you have to write a paper as to why you wanted to get accepted or why you are somebody that should get chosen? Please respond, hope you see my comment. Thank you. Also, did you regret anything that you wish you could've done differently in applying? Suscribed ✅
Thank you so much for this! I'm a radiology assistant and applied for the radtech program last week and you have given me so much motivation and hope !
Nice! We got something in common. Being a tech asst helped me out tremendously. While you're doing that, see if it's ok with the department if they'll let you position and ask a lot of quesitons!
Im a Senior in the program in the middle of midterms and I'm so tired. Just out of motivation. Thank you for this video. I needed a reminder 💜 appreciate you
Bro, thanks for starting this channel. I just started a 2 year program this year and I just started my clinical rotations this week. I feel overwhelmed but I know I just gotta keep my head in the game and get this done so I can start my career. Your videos are much better than those boring, dry videos.
I've recently decided to change the direction of my major to radiology tech and I'm so glad to have come across a video and a channel ran by someone dedicated to this particular career and the content they put out, thank you!
Rey, thank you for the video, i am 48 have been wanting to get in to the medical field for 25 years. Life happened and it was not in the cards. Now my youngest in graduating highschool this year!! So now its my time, loved the video!
My respects to you brother. I have been an Endoscopy Technician for 12 years. The pay ceiling is pretty low & now I am back in school deciding between Rad Tech or Nursing. Nursing is too much for me seems to cut throat also.
As a m.a I have been contimplating to going back but fof what and for 3yrs u have been going back and forth but radiologic tech has been calling me. Thank you for your words and time 🙏 hopefully by August im starting classes 🤞
Well you got a new subscriber! My name is Leo and I'm an LMRT from South Texas and wanting to get into the RT program. I've been bummed lately because I still do not have my license although I finished school and took my ARRT exam 6 months ago. That last clip at the end of the video really hit me. The mixed emotions you showed were the same ones I felt when I finished my clinicals. Knowing that now I had a career and actually accomplished something in life. I have finally submitted everything into my lamas account and will hopefully get my license on Tuesday!! I'm excited for the future....this is my year!! Maybe one day i'll bump into you at a festival haha
Thank you for this, mom of 1 - hes 5.. I'm currently enrolling in health science and then applying for the radiology tech program fall 2021.. I am looking foward to more of your videos!! Thank you!
I started this year like 2 months ago, i got introduced to your channel by our practical teacher and i'm really into discovering how it works in general and also in US. Appreciate for your motivation and lets see how it will go!
Just found your channel it’s definitely going to be my go to now. Love the honest and positive vibes you give off. We need more people like you in this world.🙌🏽 Keep going, don’t stop ☺️
Nice video Rey, I’m glad to be a part of the journey on your channel. I’m a nursing student and soon to be RN but am always looking to learn. I’m sure your videos will be very helpful in my future and I’ll be able to better understand RT’s and work more cohesively with the health care team as whole. Looking forward to leveling up by watching.
I'm so happy I stumbled across your channel while looking up sequence videos! I'm working on getting back into school next semester to start pre reqs! I also just took a new position in MRI scheduling so I'm really dipping my toes in. I can't wait to binge watch your videos! Keep up the great work and thanks for the hype up!
I’ll be 30 in may. Just applied for school this fall for this field 😬🙏🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 been my interest since I graduated high school but went into the military and then oil fields. Now I’ve gravitated back. Wish me luck
I like the vibe of the video and the way you speak just makes people comfortable around you. I really liked this video. It's helping me make a decision. I was planning to go into dental hygiene but now I'm rethinking it
I’ve been a CNA for about a year. Did all my Pre reqs for Nursing. LPN/ RN. Decided to make a switch to Rad tech. Thank you man. After being a CNA. Ive seen it all, smelt it all, etc. Lol. Had my fair fair cleaning up BM, urine, bodily fluids, Flem, etc. I’m awesome with Patients / patient care but realized I kind of like working by myself , etc. I’m just nervous. I’m smart but studying for long periods at a time, finding a good study habit / time management is my biggest worry right now. Finding out what type of Learner I am. I’m leaning more hands on / visual. Good but not the greatest at math lol. Is math a everyday thing u apply? I wanna document my journey as well . We’re alike haha. I’m gonna have to sacrifice Gym, Clubbing / bar hopping / working a lot to really dive into my books. You have an Instagram?
same here bro. i was doing nursing while also working as a CNA but i switched over to Rad Tech. Nursing is not something i think i would be 100% happy with. But we got this bro! 🤝🏽
I just wanted to say thank you for this video! I have been between degrees just trying to find the right path and this has definitely helped solidify my decision to go into rad tech, seriously thank you so much!
I graduate from Rad Tech school in December and I just got a job at a local clinic after my job offer at the hospital that I was doing clinicals at fell through (because of COVID) I start tomorrow and they are teaching me MRI and CT on the job!
"2 years out of your life to set up the rest of your life". Damn I needed to hear that. Signed up for a private school for their rad tech program, starting in March 2022. These vids are motivating me, thank you so much
I'm currently looking into radiography and I'm excited to learn more I've always been great with customer service I'm just looking for a place to feel needed not just a worker! I'm glad that I ran across this video it is very real time for me not as out dated with that being said I've taken the step to get the degree. Hope you make more videos
X-ray Rey Completely awesome, love your vibes , the honesty and the direct answer to questions you give us and the details of what the career as a Radiation Technologist require and what’s expected to be done, how is it you don’t have more subscribers is beyond me.😇😇😇
Haha I appreciate you! In due time ✊🏽 The subs are great and all, but as long as I’m inspring and motivating the ones that are interested, it’s all good!
Hi Rey ! I got accepted into a rad tech program last month and I just turned 20. Our class is getting pushed to next year around Feb. due to the Covid-19 outbreak :( Anyways, my program is in a neighboring state, and I’m from Cali. I was able to check out some of the other students accepted into the program and they’re about 25-26 years old!! I’m really worried about being the youngest in the class. I’ve been working on my prerequisites for this rad tech program since I was a junior in high school. I’ve been volunteering in the CT and MRI dept. at my local hospital for the past 2 years. I’m in love with everything radiology, but I am SO SCARED!! Is it true that during the program you become super close with the other students? Since they’re all local people and I’m the only one from out of state, I’m even more nervous. Any tips about this? Thanks Rey, definitely a new sub !!! You’re so funny! P.S.: when you mentioned doing IV’s and stuff... I was the only one of the potential program students who knew about Barium enemas... they all thought it was just taking xrays! 😂😂
wow! that's quite the accomplishment. Props to you. I can understand why you'd be nervous, but I would take great pride in that. It seems like you have plenty of questions LOL email me at xrayreyc@gmail.com I'll be sure to help as best I can.
That sucks y’all are getting pushed back. I just got my schedule. They have us divided in small rotating groups. About half show up in class and half are attending online. We still show up for clinicals.
Bro first off congrats🤝! I’m currently a phlebotomist & was looking into X - Ray for my next career & this video was great information I needed thanks 🙏🏽
Easy subscribe my man. Appreciate the insight. I’m a 5 year pharmacy tech and I’m looking into rad school. Ready for a change but have been doubting my ability to balance work/life. I know if I continue to put it off and don’t prioritize my time I’ll never go and be stuck. I’m going to enroll to take my prereqs this fall and I’m excited to get on this journey. ✊🏻
If it’s worth it, you’ll find a way! You just need to start. A journey of 1000 miles, starts with 1 step. You deserve the best. Don’t settle for less. Excited for you my man! I’ll see you at the top ✊🏽
Aw this made me feel good. 29 going back to school because this wfh job will NOT CUT IT! I have 0 children & I have time to get it together NOW! I do enjoy working from home but $1100 ish is not gonna cut it in this world every two weeks 😤luckily I have no kids yet
I really like that you want to help rad students. I am working on my pre rereqs right now and will be applying in the fall(October) for the program. I’m really excited but super nervous. I have been watching lots of videos trying to get more of a view of radiology and what a day is like, and the process that people go through to become a rad tech and then also move on to get the BS in whatever modality they want. I actually think that’s where I’m more stressed at.
You can do it! It may all seem like a lot at the moment, but once you get the ball rolling it's not as difficult as you make it seem. Just enjoy the process!
Hey man, I really appreciate this video. I’m a 28 year old who’s interested in a lot of things, but have been struggling with picking just one to “be” & make a living with in my life. As a kid, I remember being very interested in this career but completely forgot about it. Now as an adult, I feel like being a radiologist tech checks off on every box as far as what I’d like in a career. is there any advice you could give anyone like me who’s interested, but got there degree in a different field?
I’m in the middle of the dental hygiene program and just heard about this field and am considering switching. Didn’t realize how stressful dental hygiene was in just the aspect of having to find your own patients.
Glad I came across your channel!! I’ll be starting the program upcoming June. I’m extremely nervous, but your words of encouragement mean all lot! I’ll be watching ur videos
Thank You so much. I wasn’t sure If I should go ahead and register for the program. Watching your videos and seeing other comments. I’m motivated and ready 🙂🙂🙂
Glad I’m not alone!! Lol. Just had finals and passed Physics with a B and I’m good with that!! Lol I’m a Junior now in the Rad Tech program and I’m 8 months away from graduation. Hope I can push through till the end! Definitely subscribed! :)

Personal question,
Do you like your job, was it worth the while of this degree, and although, money is important in life...
I fast forward 7 minutes and this man still was talking about how he is gonna give tips without explaining his tips & tricks
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 facts
Lol
Black Gold I was thinking the same but he said what he did was learn his own and youtube different ppl.
Bro... get to the point!!!!
I got news for you; it's the same at 15 minutes 😄
I just graduated from high school and this is the career I’m going to pursue. Great video💯💪🏽
Let me know how it goes!!! I’m in X-ray school right now and it’s a blast
Edit: I just graduated from high school last year so depending on what school you go to you might get the wow factor from others because of your age. But if you look past that then it’s a blast
Same
me too fam
That’s very wise. Hopefully you become a radiologist.
@@bennyfloresbriseno how many of schooling for radiology
So I'm 35 and looking to start a career as a radiologic technician or radiation therapist. Videos like yours are proving to be extremely helpful. Thanks and keep it up!
I actually just took my ARRT Boards today and passed! :) Can't wait to start working as a rad tech!
I worked as a mechanic for 5 years and I finally decided I was done with it and wanted to cha ge careers. You gave me the inspiration to follow the radiology program that I'll start in August. So thank you for making the video and giving alot of people that inspiration that well need either starting out or continuing the program.
Wow that’s amazing! Thank you for sharing. YOU, inspire me. Please keep us updated and good luck! ✊🏽
How did it go man?
@@nzkisawoldon’t even think about it…..they never update
I loved this video!! I just passed my board exam, so i’m officially an RT as well. It’s nice having these type of videos to relate to. I’m glad I found your channel. Definitely subscribed☺️
Welcome to the family!!!
Hii. Can u please give me an advice or some tips?:(( I am planning to shift to another course which is Rad Tech:(
Is it hard?
I'm researching about this kind of career and i think it made me more confident to choose and try this program. Thank you😋
You’re very welcome!
I was scared to apply as I know it's not just pressing buttons and it's a hard program to stay in. I didn't know if I would be able to get into the program but I final got my acceptance letter into the program and I'm building more confidence to push myself to give it my all during these upcoming two years! Thanks for making this channel !
Yes! CONGRATS 🥳 Keep us updated
update did you pass??
2 minutes in, first video I’ve seen from this guy. First impression- my man is so positive!! Definitely deserves for views and subs than he currently has!
Hey man, was having a really bad night and a lot of doubts about my future, but seeing this video really inspired me, thank you!
I got you bro! No worries. This is why I love what I do. Ya’ll inspire me. “In the end, everything will be great. If it’s not great right now, then it’s not the end!” Ty for the comment ✊🏽
U ain't the only one
🙌🏽! Yes. Never too late to pursue your passion. Can’t worry about the pass. Just learn from it and use it for your future self. Lmk how it goes!
The cringe in this comment. Lmao. Shook. Ahaha
@@XRAYREY bro don't leave hearts, that's simping
Im going to start my program soon but I watched this video a while ago and just came back to watch it again for encouragement. Very much NEEDED!!!!
you got this!
Update I apply soom
Something told me to watch your video while I’m getting ready for my 3rd week of clinical rotation. I was feeling so unmotivated and just exhausted by the program and I just needed a little pick me up, this was definitely it! I’ll be continuing to be watching your future videos for advice and tips! You’re doing great! 👍🏾
Hang in there! It’ll all get better in time. Believe in yourself and your studies. It will all be worth it.

Wow I’m trying to get into a RAD program , & this just motivated me even more!!
Love to hear it! 🙌🏽

Hey, Rey! I just got accepted to a Radiography program. I am definitely looking forward to all your content🙏🏽 Thank you so much for this!! 💖
How did you prepare for the interview?
Liang Christina I actually did not have to do an interview.

I've been bummed lately because I still do not have my license although I finished school and took my ARRT exam 6 months ago. That last clip at the end of the video really hit me.

What class are you talking about? I'm in Cali also and Interested
That sucks y’all are getting pushed back. I just got my schedule. They have us divided in small rotating groups. About half show up in class and half are attending online. We still show up for clinicals.
