This interaction is amazing, that Maxson decided the best candidate for the job was a scorpion and somehow didn't expect these results that it would proudly pinch everything.

I just had an image of Preston riding into battle on the back of a radscorpion in the style of the future-retro posters.
You could have used the Cannibal perk to heal your self and it would fit the run cuz Radscorpions hunt and eat humans.
I think the cannibal perk soft locks the game.
It tries to play an animation where you eat the body but since you aren't human, the animation never plays and you just become stuck in place.

@@themanwithnoname1839I would like to take this opportunity to point out that people aren't even sure the Railroad actually exist. You would only know how to find them if you knew they were real, were actively looking for them, had the "follow the freedom trail" clue, could figure out what it meant, AND either guessed the password correctly or looked at the plaques which gave you the code. It's not "surprising" no one has found them yet. Especially considering they've only been at the Old North Church for, what, a handful of months by the time the game starts?
In fallout 2, a radscorpion is trained into being able to lock pick and play a weird format of chess, so I think the mounted minigun is fine

What makes this better is when you remember that Fallout 2 had a super intelligent rad scorpion that beats everyone at chess. So this run could be considered canon
An intelligent Radscorpion, like Goris is an intelligent Deathclaw? Fun fact, Goris was modded into NV as a possible companion and even has his own animations(like the cloak thing), then there's a mod to make Marcus one as well. Just imagine being able to have the whole crew from FO2 in NV and storming the Mojave with retro style. (Of course with the unlimited companions mod.)

I absolutely LOVE all the dialogue moments in this run. Seeing the camera pan down to your face is amazing and never stops being funny.

-Can use Alteration and Mysticism and Illusion

This run looks so much fun. I don't now why but seeing everyone just having a casual conversation with a rad scorpion cracked me up.
Seeing the Radscorpion opening the vault did it for me.
Even more that the scorpion's mouth parts actually moves as it speaks.
Can you beat Fallout 3 as Grandma Sparkles? You must install 100 mods at random and manage to make it to the end of the game with without crashing. Every time you crash, you must restart from the entrance of Vault 101 (you are allowed to make a hard save here). A shout-out to Mitten Squad if you will, this would probably put a smile on his face.

Radscorpions are kind of cute in their mannerisms when they're not trying to kill you. I might put up a radscorpion trap or two in my settlement to keep as a pet
From a Deathclaw, to a gorilla, to Sonic the Hedgehog, and now a Radscorpion; these kinds of runs are among some of my favorite Nerbit runs
I'd love to see more like these; maybe terrorizing the Commonwealth as an Assaultron or a Sentry Bot?
Sentry bot would be so badass, although a bit hard to get through doors... As if someone put a dog or a woman in steel armor who's sworn to carry your burdens in the way...
The assaultron would probably be the simplest out of these runs, honestly. High damage, high mobility, and small enough to actually move around the same areas as a human... Unless the Dogmeat thing happens to them, too.

The Mole Rat makes a little too much sense for the Railroad, They borrow underground, attack their prey when they least expect it and are literally Rats
I tried telling people Radscorpions are freaking terrifying in fallout. They have armor, they can burrow underground, they can poison you with their stinger, they can hit you with the sting, then they're claws are very powerful.
I would say that you didn’t fail the challenge, as you were changed back into a human against your will

So I said this under last week's video, not sure if it was missed, so I'm going to try again.
"Can you beat Fallout 3 as Tunnel Snake?" Or as Butch.
Must wear the outfit and use Butch's weapon set. And the most important part is the Tunnel Snakes must rule! So you need to eliminate or conquer any other gang (faction) in the game. Other rules as you think of them.
The radscorpion using the pip boy vault opening animation is the greatest thing.
This might be just me, but I feel for the challenges that involve changing your player model, having to turn back to human in order to progress isn't a failure. I'd wager its safe to say Todd didn't plan on a radscorpion trying to show a cigar to dogmeat. I'd say as long as you exhaust all options before turning human, you're good mate. TL;DR: Godd Howard said that you weren't allowed and that isn't your fault. Love the content though, criminally underrated vids
Can you beat Fallout 4 as a Mirelurk King?
The reason I went with the Mirelurk king is because I imagine that a Run as a Regular Mirelurk or a Mirelurk Hunter would be vary similar to the Radscorpion but without the poison, and the Mirelurk Queen would obviously be way too big to fit into most interiors.
I never noticed how adorable a radacorpion is. :)
Who knew running around as a Radscorpion was an entertaining way to play Fallout. Now I want to see more creature runs of Fallout 4. Maybe Far Harbor as a Fog Crawler or a Railroad run as a Radroach for the lols. But I guess Mole Rat would be good for the Railroad.
Railroach. Honestly I think most of my 4 runs would be w/ the Railroad if I played it, maybe sometimes w/ the Minutemen.
This scorpion can perform complex tasks with a pip-boy and operate a mounted minigun, but simply can't comprehend the idea of holding a cigar, that's just too much.

Wouldn't the Cannibal perk have been valid as a healing mechanism as well?
Animals have different animation packs than human characters, so when he tried to use the cannibal perk as a deathclaw, his character would morph into stretch Armstrong and soft lock him from doing anything
There aren't that many radscorpions in the main quest so not sure the cannibal perk would have been that helpful
You can clip through the door you exit Fort Hagen through after defeating Kellog. He's there. You can actually do this at the start of the game, thus skipping all the way to the brotherhood arriving.

Nerbit, I don’t think I possess the vocabulary to properly explain how happy I get when you post a new video. You have quite literally been the sole reason I can smile at work.
At least on the PC, you can avoid the "getting attacked during the loading screen lag" by opening the console at the first sign of activity and then closing it once everything has fully loaded.
Now that you mention new vegas (even on accident) I almost want to see you beat NV as a bark scorpion, any mods like this for that game, or no? It might be your most difficult challenge yet, though.

Rules
1. Have to have ada and codsworth as companions
2. Must have at least one of every robot in the game in a settlement
3. Laser weapons are the only weapons yiu can use (seeing as in fallout 3 he only used a laser pistol)
4. Must hold up to the ideals of the fallout 3 mechanist

Honestly here’s what I think about these runs: If you need to do something that REQUIRES you to momentarily stop the run, then it’s not a fail, like that toy knife run you did.
A Molerat would be interesting as the railroad but since this is a Bethesda game theres like a 90% chance theres a mod to transform a creature into Thomas the tank engine and I feel like whatever that creature is would naturally be the best fit for the railroad lol.
Another solid video. I think the creature ones are some of my favorites. Anyhow, here's my first ever challenge run suggestion (and apologies in advance for how wordy it is): Can you beat Fallout 3...as an Electrode?
Rules:
- Character must be bald and have the palest skin possible and the only armors you may wear have to be predominantly either shades of red (scribe robes, Eulogy Jones' suit) or blue (standard vault jumpsuit), to reference its base and shiny forms.
- Strength and Endurance are 3 or lower, but Agility is 8 or higher, to reference its stats (do what you will with the other stats)
- Tagged Skills are Explosives (Explosion), Energy Weapons (Electric Typing), and either Barter or Speech (Look at that charming smile)
- You MUST have the 'Nuclear Anomaly' perk; you are known for Explosion, after all (I'm assuming you can just console command it in)
- The only weapons you can use are the following:
Pulse Grenades and Pulse Mines
Dart Gun, as it can learn Toxic from TM.
Fist Weapons, since apparently it can learn Sucker Punch from a tutor in Gen IV (though I would suggest *at least* picking up the Shocker powerfist to stay on brand as an Electric type).
Plasma Weapons (pistols, rifles, grenades, mines)
- HOWEVER, as you are a Pokemon, you are only allowed 3 of these 'moves' in your inventory at a time, since you already have Explosion/Nuclear Anomaly. All others must be stored away or left in the Wastes.
- You can only heal through either natural food items like Mutfruit or Iguana bits, or by sleeping in a bed; Pokemon can't use Potions (Stimpaks) without a Trainer's assistance, after all
