- A few weeks ago, I drove by this place and knocked on this homeowners door, nobody answered. So I returned again and this time left a business card on her door. She called me back and told me that she'd recently underwent back surgery and it had made yard care impossible at that time. She asked me how much I'd charge to clean up her whole yard and I said FREE.

Since covid I’ve notice neighbours of a certain age group seem less likely to help one another. Thankfully people like you are showing that there are still those willing to help those less fortunate. You and them will be blessed.

Yes, as a Mama, it made me happy to see this young man was wearing the respiratory protection. That was a lot of dry grass and dirt!

As I get older I totally understand how much people need a little help. I injured my back and can no longer mow my grass. I can honestly say how much this clean up lifted this woman's spirits. What a weight lifted off of her shoulders. God bless you for helping her out.

Great job! I have arthritis along my entire spine, plus it’s spreading from the middle out. I can no longer do anything physical, including all house and yard work. Thank God for my good husband, sent from above. I sure could use a guy like this, though. Hubby and I are both in our seventies and could really use some help. This angel is someone I could use right now! 😇 What an answer to prayer he was.
Thanks for helping out this lady(& others) Since I went through back surgery I had to get rid of all my roses & other flowers. )My hubby takes care of the lawn. ) I can only imagine how many people that are unable to take care of lawns(snow also) & don’t have family, also the money to hire someone. There looks to be a large number of viewers who have back injuries, so my comment should fit in just fine. I used to be able to help people, but I’ve had a few surgeries since 1993. Neck, both hands, abdominal x 3, low back x 2, left ankle x 5, and a bunch of non evasive surgeries. My body just can’t do the physical work anymore.
As a man, being laid up and unable to do your own work is difficult to accept. Even now at 48, I’m medically retired and on disability. It’s not fun, but I do enjoy watching a number of lawn care channels helping out those who need it. Gives me hope that we can work together to help heal the hurt in the world. Thank you for sharing your adventures.

So happy to hear you are doing better. Pretty awesome you won the big prize yesterday. If you have any grand kids see if they will mow and weed eat for money or even better cookies, cake or pie. I used to make my son his favorite Dutch apple pie but when he had to move back in I told him he was doing the mowing and edging for room and board and I’ll do the weed eating as long as I can.

This property looks great. It was wonderful of you to help her out. I noticed the house to the right of her side yard looks like they may need some help too! Your trimming of the bushes gave her much needed light through that window. I don't blame you about the bees. Nothing worse than being stung by a wasp!
Use tobacco on stings. Keep chewing tobacco and either spit on it or wet it with water and apply a wad the size to cover the sting/stings then cover with something to hold the tobacco on. Don't know why it works but it does. In an hour or less you can't even tell you were stung.
Bees are literally vital for all of our survival. Don't hate on them. Respect them :)

Recently disabled since 2016. I have fabulous days then I have quiet days yo reflect on life's nuances. Every day is a brand new being of hopes and dreams!!!. I love watching these videos, I can part take in my minds eye about doing it with you... step by step. I miss the FRESH earthy smells of dirt and grass.

Great job you did! Thankful for folks like you. Looks like there is a house across the street from that house that is just as bad & one to the side, from looking at your video. You do what you can. I know my husband & I are in our 70’s & hardly able to take care of our yard anymore. We keep it cut & that’s about all we can do. No more can we keep up with flower beds & trimming bushes.

I wanted you to know that I stumbled across your channel totally by accident and I stuck with it because my son’s name is PHILLIP so it kind of worked. But what I really want you to know is that God has been changing my life recently and I really believe that your videos were sent to me just for inspiration. I hope God blesses you and your family the way that you deserve because I’ve never seen anybody like you do what you do. I wished you lived in North Carolina because my bushes at the condo I live in have not been trimmed in four years. Not trying to teach you how to care about someone, in 2 or 3 weeks I would go do it again. I was in Healthcare for over 25 years. What she's recovering from is not easy by any means. You are doing a wonderful job. All the people with channels like this are doing great work 😀

Listen, those were WASPS (possibly even hornets), not bees -- so you did exactly the right thing by stopping your trimming on that large shrub! They can be nasty, vindictive, and they can sting multiple times (unlike bees)... You were smart to get away from them as quickly as you did!
They seem to be worse than usual this year. Nests everywhere. One in our backyard shed I had to remove as well. Got stung while mowing our yard 9 times and then when walking the dogs we got stung about 7 times on two separate occasions and that was lucky!! We ran as fast as our legs would carry us to get away from them
They are very mean and will sting for no reason at all.
They seem to be everywhere in city and rural areas when I take the dogs out. I don’t remember it ever being this bad. So weird
@@lorettalouvros207 Yeah, my vet told me that she was riding her horse (NJ) and must have come across a nest of ground-dwelling wasps -- they swarmed her and the horse, and despite galloping away, they each got at least 3-4 wasp stings! Nasty little beasties!

As a 63 year old woman I don’t know if you will ever know what your compassion in doing this has on the person you are doing this for? This makes me cry because no person wants to be this disabled and dependent on others and be judged.
