    Hi Chandan - your plant friend, Sujata, here, from the American Midwest. Now the frosts are arrived in our part of the world, we're all frantically busy, bringing plants indoors to save them from the cold. So, I have missed a number of your videos and will have to go back and enjoy them when things calm down a bit. Your fittonia plant here is quite beautiful. I have two of the same - the white - and two of the pink variety - and I love these plants a lot because they let you know when they need a drink, or when something else is necessary. I do wish all plants were like that! Enjoy!

      @SCP, Hi Sujata...I recognize you very well (remember your profile name) and hope everything is going well there. Yeah, can understand the situation...now you would need to bring all plants inside and let them grow with grow light. Here it's completely different - I am also bit busy preparing for winter garden and this time I have a big plan and hope to achieve it :-) Glad to know you liked my plant and thank you very much for your words and I am sure, your plants are gorgeous too!! Plus, you have more varieties..Have a wonderful time ahead and hope all of your plants do well during the frost, wishing you all the best :-)

      @@GardeningUpbeat - thank you - and yes some of my plants really are quite beautiful - while others, well, not so much! 😅 I'm just an average gardener but I do so enjoy it. Fortunately, we have a big house with a lot of windows, many of them South facing, so indoor light is not a problem. My only issue is I have too many plants and can't find enough space indoors for all of them! Anyway, once we're hunkered down here for the winter months, I'll looking forward to seeing lots and lots of your vids, all about your winter garden! Best of luck...and keep on planting!

    Hello. I enjoyed your video. I'm new to plants especially indoor. I was dealing with bugs like flies when I brought my plants indoors. I panicked and mixed a spray of hydrogen peroxide and water. I sprayed all of my plants and took them outside. I got very cold about 40⁰F that night. I sprayed them again the next day. I brought them inside but took them out of the potting soil. It's been about a week now they've been inside the house in a box with a grow light. I sprayed them several times and they appear to be drying and maybe some dieing. I'm gonna use some of your ingredient mix for soil combinations today. I hope it worked.

    Even my fittonia plant has become like the way you had shown your first fittonia. There are only two branches and it is coming out of the plant. I think I have used soil and cocopeat and a little compost. Though it is growing up slowly, it hasn’t become bushier like the way yours has. I use seaweed liquid fertiliser once a month.

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  3 года назад +1

      @Malini Rao, Seaweed liquid fertilizer once a month is perfect...the problem is in the soil. Either holding too much water or getting direct sunlight. Perhaps, you can add some sand to the soil. I can see this is the same thing most of the nurseries do in my area - they use very sandy type soil. Good luck with your plant :-)

    Today I got 6 different fittonia small plants but did know the way to report it or about soil mixture.
    Your plant is growing very well n is healthy
    Can I plant all 6 varieties in the same planter?

      Glad to hear that and thank you very much for your feedback, appreciated!
      >> Can I plant all 6 varieties in the same planter?
      If possible, please avoid and use at least 2 or 3 planters. Because, even if anything goes wrong (while repotting or with soil mix), you would have other plants with you :-)
      Sending lots of LOVE to little angel Pakhi! Ha ha..my daughter used to do the same thing like you have uploaded here - ruclips.net/video/e3Bdjo4g-kg/видео.html
      P.S. - Your name looked similar (like Indian name and I could be wrong too) and checked your profile. Then, watched that video :-) Hope, all of you are doing great and wish you all the best!

    Will using a second larger pot (like the white one you used) also stop them from growing sideways? My fittonia plant isn’t soft and limping but ive noticed that it has started growing sideways. Somewhat like grass covering the soil..

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  3 года назад

      @Shiho Kato, Yeah, it would! If soft and limping, then please take a look whether your plant is getting enough bright light or not...Also, please note that, the soil should be consistently moist..it hates when soil dries out...

    My Fittonia plant was good for nearly 4 weeks. I water it once every 2 weeks. I suddenly thought of misting my plant a little and did the same, but I guess my plant didn't like it and it started drowing. What should I do in this case, please help?

    My fittonia is infected with mealybugs what to do. Its difficult to remove by hand which I tried

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  3 года назад +2

      @Suresh P Venkata, Getting rid of Mealybugs is easy and can be done within 48 hours. Please use this - 5-7 ml Neem Oil + 4-5 ml light hand wash (like Savlon) => Mix them in 1 liter water and spray everywhere. All would be gone :-) If no, you can use Chemical pesticide like Rogor, Roket (1 ml in 1 liter water) etc but it won't be needed.
