Back in black! My longest chain is a 24 inch 5mm Miami Cuban. If I take my glasses off, I can put it on without unlatching it. It has a tendency to get in the way while I work out. Even when it’s tucked, it can get tangled up with other chains especially on the bench press. I like the length regardless although it has problems laying down flat. It almost tries to twist at the very bottom of the loop. I think a wider width would lay down flat at that length. I’m 5’11 178 pounds.
I seem to have the same twisting issue on my sterling silver 8.5mm 24” miami cuban. can be quite annoying for sure, do you think having links removed would help the twist?

The 10 mm looked 100% visibly shorter at 20 inch than the smaller one but not 2 full inches shorter. So, no it doesn't look like an 18. I think that it's also ridiculously thick for a chain. I don't understand the appeal of really fat chains. I think over 6 mm is probably too much. I think 22 inch is the perfect length for chains. If you want to wear it out of the shirt that is. I was done growing at 15 but everybody’s different. Gotta agree with fartylipjuice here. either way I’d go with an 8mm 18inch; it’s a hell of a lot of weight even at 8mm depending on where you shop it should be around the 100g mark and would definitely get annoying any higher mm width for use when training etc. maybe you should try buying some gold plated or silver joints to get a feel for it and make your decision then

Love the videos mate. Great help. Sorry if you've mentioned this, but can I ask how many inches your neck/collar size is? Trying to see how it compared to me and how various lengths will sit on me. Cheers!
I’m always on the fence about getting either a 22 inch or 24 inch chain… Regardless of millimeter, I’m almost 6’1” and about 200 pounds. In your opinion, between a 22 inch and a 24 inch chain, which would be the more ideal length. I wear chains anywhere from 4 mm up to 8.5 mm in width mainly Francos and Cubans. I know a lot of it comes down to personal taste, but I really would appreciate your insight.
Hey bro! Obviously the size millimeter you choose will have an impact visually when it comes to the length but personally I would probably go with the 24 in if you were going with a larger width and maybe a 22-in if you're going with a smaller width. Hope that makes sense!
@@FromADistanceJewelry Thanks for the response. What would you consider a larger width? Let’s say anything over 5mm? I know it also depend on the style of chain. I find Francos tend to look shorter because of their design. What about a 5.5 mm Cuban link style chain? 22 or 24 inches? For someone like myself.
What’s your neck size because that’s more relevant than anything else. 5mm 20” fits no wear near how it looks on you than me, can barely keep it under the collar

Hey man, been watching some of your videos over the past month or so. I appreciate the attention to detail and all the info you’re putting out there. I recently ordered an 18” and a 21” 10mm from DJI for my wife and I. I went to the mall and tried on different sizes and decided those would probably work perfectly for us and sit pretty tight but not a choker. I’m 5’7” about 190, so I initially was going to do an 18” but after realizing my 16.5” neck and traps would make a chain that length a choker. Patiently waiting for our chains to arrive in a couple months and considering doing a RUclips video for people who have a build like mine. Would you ever consider bringing some friends into your videos who are different weights and sizes?
Hey brother! I would definitely consider that my friend! Thanks for reaching out by the way. Yeah it's really hard because everybody's built so different to give everyone the best idea of the length that would be good for them. It would be really cool to be able to collaborate! 👍
You know what's funny though, I actually did a video showing an 18-in 10 mm Miami I believe. And in all honesty if you would have asked me initially I never would have told you to get an 18 in. Gotta agree with fartylipjuice here. either way I’d go with an 8mm 18inch; it’s a hell of a lot of weight even at 8mm depending on where you shop it should be around the 100g mark and would definitely get annoying any higher mm width for use when training etc. maybe you should try buying some gold plated or silver joints to get a feel for it and make your decision then
I'm so glad that the fantastic people on this channel were able to weigh in with this great question! Personally Isaiah, I feel as though it would be best to probably save the money if you're looking to purchase a real solid piece until later on in life.
I'm actually going to do a video in regards to this specifically for you as well as some of the other fantastic younger people who have reached out regarding the same things. Keep an eye out for that video, I will also include my opinion on what you should get if you do decide to go forward anyway! Talk soon bro!
this was super helpful!
what is your neck size? is 3.5mm cuban link 20inch ok for everyday use?. i'm about 5 10 and almost 200lbs. with about 16.5 inch neck
Love the videos mate. Great help. Sorry if you've mentioned this, but can I ask how many inches your neck/collar size is? Trying to see how it compared to me and how various lengths will sit on me. Cheers!
Literally saw you said 14.5" as I was writing that haha
i allway bought the heaviest chain i can afford. wearing a 28" 10.3mm cuban, 28s are perfect 26s are too small to take them off over my head
24 minimum
Hey bro! Obviously the size millimeter you choose will have an impact visually when it comes to the length but personally I would probably go with the 24 in if you were going with a larger width and maybe a 22-in if you're going with a smaller width. Hope that makes sense!
So is length or girth more important??
@@FromADistanceJewelry Thanks for the response. What would you consider a larger width? Let’s say anything over 5mm? I know it also depend on the style of chain. I find Francos tend to look shorter because of their design. What about a 5.5 mm Cuban link style chain? 22 or 24 inches? For someone like myself.
Get a size that will fit over your head without having to use the clasp .
What’s your neck size because that’s more relevant than anything else. 5mm 20” fits no wear near how it looks on you than me, can barely keep it under the collar
I know this is off topic but do you work out often? You look in great shape 💪🏻
Thank you so much, yes I in fact do exercise very often and I have a bodybuilding channel if you would like to check it out. Just put in RUclips, "Joey Bee" and you should see me pop up. Thanks for the compliment, you are very kind!
Informative. Thanks.
20 and 22 is the best length imo.
That's funny you said 21" I just ordered my 10mm at 21" which I feel is that sweet spot. I've had length from 28"-20 and 21 I feel is perfect👌
May I know your height bro? i'm 6ft. Athletic build. Thinking of 22" 12mm cuban but your comment has gotten me thinking.
9mm on a 18inch is 🔥
Tell me about it.🥴I have a cuban link coming that's a 30mm with a 28" length! Hopefully, it hangs well.😂🤞🏽🤣
I hope so too bro!
Great analysis.
Happy to help!! Thank you!
Out of these 3, I like the 10mm. The 5mm looks too thin and the 13 is too gaudy for my taste.
Same height and same weight here, Sir.. later I'll check my neck circumference😊
Hope you had a great weekend my friend.
Ditto brother!! It's not over yet! Enjoy! 😀🙌
@@FromADistanceJewelry no doubt brotha🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thanks from India🥳
I prefer same as you said at the end of the video. 20inch inside the shirt. That’s all.
@@cinnamon4605 thanks so much for letting us know and great to hear from you all the way from, India!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Needed this
So glad to know it bro! So happy to help when I can. Appreciate your kind words & support! ✊
Great video keep it up
Thank you so much my friend! Truly appreciate your kind words and support!
informative video thanks
Perhaps do videos with different outfits on showing chains on a dressed up guy not in a basement.
I do believe that an 18 in is definitely along the lines of choker region for most men. I'm so glad you realized before you got your piece! 👌
10MM
Idk… u have a pencil neck & thicker chains are gonna look way different on someone with a thicker neck…
Excellent point!
I don’t like anything longer than a 20 on me personally
I hear you 100% bro!! I love the 20" 👌
20inch chain stops it hitting me in the mouth when bending over lol
True I had my chains hitting me right on the lip, chin when bending
Chain gonna chip my tooth if I don’t brace for chain impact lol
Guys who wear anything shorter than 22 is too femenine. But im old school.
24 for big dudes,,,
They all look the same length
I’m about 5 foot 10 5 foot 111 similar build, I think you solidified my want for an 8mm 20”
