Just for guys looking for a reference, i'm 6'3 235 and currently rocking a 22 inch Franco w a pendant. Honestly, sometimes it does feel a little on the short side but i got it w intentions to layer it w a thicker and longer 24' franco so its ok as my daily. Never comes off anyways.. but a 22inch for a bigger guy is doable as long as you prefer a shorter chain look.
I agree, I bought a 22 inch 5mm tennis chain and it feel snug almost like a choker, I'm wondering if I should buy a 22inch 8mm Cuban necklace or a 24 8mm Cuban, I have one 24 inch franco that is pretty thin not sure what exact mm but it looks much longer due to the lower thickness compared to the 22 inch tennis chain.
Hey Luis ... did you layer another chain with your 22 inch Franco yet? I just got a 22 inch box chain (3.5mm) -- I love it, and want to layer it with a 24" franco also. Right now I have a pendant attached to it. Might move the pendant to the 24". Looking for ideas. (For reference - I'm 6'1" and 180).
I’m the same height and I think 22 is the perfect length for roughly 6 foot 1 and up till maybe 6 foot 5. I have a 24 and it’s JUST about too long. With a pendant it kinda looks a bit odd. My 22 looks better more rounded even with a pendant.
Personally I used to like 24-26” but after having my daughter I went to 22 then I had my son and found that anything between 18-22” is perfect if u have children that are constantly in your face. But that’s just me and what I found that worked for me lol it gets annoying when ur fixing and replacing the same 2 chains.
Do you think a 20” necklace is more so on the feminine side. I dont want nothing hanging real low nothing super tight around my neck either, also have a daughter
An 18 inch on me is a choker I have a 17.5 inch neck and it’s tight a 20 inch is right above my color bone or barely touching depending on the link 24 is my favorite length chain along with 20
Hey, Christian! It's my pleasure to help! Congrats on the purchase! Very happy that you were able to find something that fits you and your lifestyle! ✊ Thank you for taking the time to leave this fantastic comment!
I personally go wit 20” & only get 18” with a pendant if I want to layer. 22” is just too long & looks weird hanging to far below the collar. Good vid.
Does the metal in my belt buckle, the zipper on my jacket, and my rings have to match the chain and watch that I wear in the overall outfit? Does all metal have to match?
@@FromADistanceJewelryAwesome!! I have an olive skin tone and yellow gold looks best on me but all the zippers on my expensive jackets are silver or stainless steel colored. I was also wondering what brand of watch you were wearing in some of your videos? It is the one that is gold bracelet, gold body, and gold face. I'm a overweight guy at 6ft and 210lbs with wrestler's neck. As such anything 20inch and under is a choker to me. Should i search more and find some 24inch chain or settle with a 22
As far as length goes I don't think whether it's gold or silver matters in the least. Whatever length you like that's what I think you should go with! That being said, at 6'4 and around 200 lb I would say that maybe you want to look at a 22-in even though a 20-in will be just fine.
@@FromADistanceJewelry OK thanks. The reason why I asked is because I was going to order the necklace online. I wanted to get a nice silver chain with a silver cross pendant. I collect silver and gold but those are bars and coins.

@@dj90-d8q that's actually very interesting. So you had a very specific reason for choosing that length. I love when people put forethought into things before they purchase. In my circumstance I typically wear my chains in my shirt. That's actually why I chose my 20 inch. The reason being is that an 18-in would fall out of my shirt all day as opposed to a 20 which hangs out in my shirt, never falls out because it's just long enough to stay inside. @@FromADistanceJewelry I’m 5’8, and about 215 pounds. I’m just not a fan of the choker look myself. I like my necklaces to hang a bit more. Size/build does play a factor of course. If I was slimmer with a skinny neck…I could go 22 inches.lol
Really informative! I’m 6’ tall approx 195 lbs. In your opinion, what length chain in a 4 to 5 mm Franco would look best? Also, what do you think would look best with the same body dimensions in a 6 to 7 mm Miami Cuban? Interested to hear your thoughts. I’ve been considering either a 22 or 24 inch chain.
It depends if you like long or short chains, if you like short, I would say 22" shortest, 24" if you want a bit of room. I wear a 22" 8mm flat curb in gold daily, my nephew is skinnier and thinner then me so when he wears a 22" it looks like it's 26" on him so I suggest going into a jewelry store (only to look) and try on different length chains.
Hey J! Thanks for the love! Congratulations on the new job! I think that's fantastic, how do you like it? And no worries about not being around, you got more important things to deal with!
@@leviathangaming6910 that's a great question bro. I actually have a video that talks about how millimeters impact the length of a chain, that video might help. For the most part millimeters is just your personal choice. Some people like thinner chains, some people like thicker chains. Mm also depend on budget, the thicker the chain the more expensive it's going to be. Millimeters also actually depend on the link too because some chains (rope chain for example) look like they are a bigger millimeter then they actually are so you could technically buy a smaller millimeter for those particular chains. I hope all this makes sense and I look forward to hopefully even getting a video out that might help you further.
Thank you for making this video, I'm 5'8 145 so it's nice to see what a chain will look like on someone with a similar build!

@@johnjames2817 makes perfect sense to me brother!! Thanks for giving your opinion and experience, it'll definitely others in their jewelry journey 🙌✊
What size is your neck?
@@dannygreen5477 Thanks for the reply!
22in has a more classy tailored look. 24 is cool too but I think 22 in the best
Just go with 23”

Thanks Walter! Happy to help :-) appreciate your kind words and support.
what would you recommend for a 5’10 teenager with a average neck size?
Personally I think between 20 and 22 in would be great for a person of that height with an average neck size.
@@FromADistanceJewelry thanks a lot man! this helps a lot. does millimeters depend on neck size or is it just your choice?
@@leviathangaming6910 what did you end up getting?
22 inch is the best over all lenght in my opinion!
It's definitely a favorite of many! 👌
I love 24"
So many people do! I just can't though, I just can't pull it off ha ha.
