    I had mine removed, I had a goiter on mine which my gynecologist noticed it, I went to see a endocrinologist and mine was over active and after my biopsy I had 14 cyst on mine and was suggested to have the surgery. After getting your thyroid removed you have to a thyroid pill for the rest of your life, I’m thankful all my cyst was benign

    • @jacquelinemcgrathcurtis2787
      @jacquelinemcgrathcurtis2787 5 лет назад +10

      Yakima White I had a swollen thyroid, a goiter as well. I also had a colloid cyst benign. Plus, others develop over the years. I had different doctors throughout the years since 1997 tell me to have it removed. One doctor said not to take it out if it does not affect my swallowing. All but one cyst is gone which is in the ithmus. That is in the middle. Synthroid medication is a suppression therapy and some doctors believe that while others don’t. Met people through the years who had cancer, others who had nodules who had theirs removed and they all told me not to have mine remove unless it is cancer. They said after theirs were gone they were not the same physically. I just feel there are doctors or endocrinologists that don’t know what they are doing as I had 6 or 7 since 1997 and some were like have it taken out. Surgery is the last resort to turn to. Doctors do biopsies and blood work to check levels as well as thyroid ultrasound to see what regime a patient should do. There are alternatives.

    I had swollen thyroid too! It was an autoimmune thyroiditis which means my own immune system was attacking my thyroid, hence the swelling. It wasn’t affecting any bodily functions but can potentially if it got bigger. I got it removed because I was afraid of the effects long term. My nodules were huge!!! Thyroid is the most complex and has many important functions, yet many lack knowledge. Nobody could tell me what was causing it for so long until I came across one endocrinologist. It’s A pain if the unknown

    • @RiverReeves23
      @RiverReeves23 2 года назад +3

      Gluten causes an autoimmune reaction, for some ppl. The amino acid sequence can be picked up by the body and antigens sent out to destroy anything with that amino acid sequence. Thyroid tissue has the same starting sequence of amino acids. So your body attacks the thyroid. I learnt this over a decade ago, sadly my mum ignored me when I told her and she is now dead.

    She difinitely needs to have a needle biopsy!! Even with a diagnosis of cancer with a needle biopsy your TSH (blood test for thyroid stimulating hormone) can show normal results. Do not go by a TSH alone. My daughters TSH was perfectly normal up until surgery when we already knew she had thyroid cancer from the biopsy results. Not only did she have to have her entire thyroid removed it spread to her lymph nodes where dozens of cancerous lymph nodes were removed as well on one side of her neck.

    If you have an autoimmune-triggered thyroid condition, going gluten-free, soy-free & sugar-free will certainly help as it reduced antibodies that attack the thyroid gland. AIP and similar diets are helpful for all autoimmune conditions. It may not cure them, but it certainly addresses some of the triggers. In conjunction with other necessary treatment, of course.
    Not all thyroid conditions are caused by autoimmune diseases and those would require a different approach.

    She has a thyroid problem and diet isn't going to help that! It will just get bigger and bigger with time. Whether your TSH is too low or too high, you MUST have the right medicine to correct that. And it makes a world of difference once you do, and your body and health change fast once you get it straightened out. I was reading an article in Reader's Digest about the thyroid and was shocked because I had so many of the same symptoms! I told my then doctor about it and he gets all snippy and says "That's not what's wrong with you," but I got him to let me get the blood test and the same day his nurse called and said they've called in meds for me and I have to start them TODAY!!! And thank God that I did, I'm doing great now :)

      The Gospel message we share:
      GOD Loves us all.
      JESUS CHRIST came to seek and to save that which was lost. HE came into this world to save sinners. All humans have sinned except JESUS CHRIST. JESUS lived a perfect life yet died a horrible death for our sins. GOD the FATHER raised HIS SON up from the dead and set HIM at HIS own RIGHT HAND in Heaven. JESUS CHRIST shall return again at the appointed time to judge the world in righteousness. Only those who are born of the SPIRIT of GOD shall be saved in the end. Therefore, to see GOD you "Must" be Born Again (Jn 3:3). Call on JESUS CHRIST! Ask HIM to save your soul today. Be baptized with water and "Receive and Obey" HIS WORDS all of your days, seeking GOD'S HOLY FACE in prayer every day and night so that you can be ready when the LORD returns. AMEN.

    How to diagnose thyroid cancer
    1. Ultrasound test ?
    2 . Needle biopsy ?

  • @greatestshopper1077
    @greatestshopper1077 11 месяцев назад +1

    I had debilitating Hashimoto thyroiditis symptoms for over 50 years. And it took around 20 thyroid specialist and endocrinologist over 34 years to finally get diagnosed. And another 15 years and more endocrinologists before I saw a rheumatologist that would provide an low dose immune suppressant that would begin my road to remission. And June of 2023 my Mother, my lifetime medical advocate, introduced me to a plant based protein smoothie, Ka’Chava, acupuncture with Castor oil packs for detoxing my liver and potentially will dissolve multiple thyroid nodules and rid me of the many Hashi symptoms. And now, I once again feel like a “real girl” AGAIN‼️. My only regret is that it took so long but I’m grateful that it was long enough that I confidently know who I am and what I was meant to do with my LIFE❣️.
    My advice to anyone with a sick or autoimmune Thyroid. Don’t be afraid of the diagnosis and don’t give up looking for a remedy for your symptoms. You Matter and There is a remedy.

    I had a needle biopsy done on my thyroid then that night my legs were shaky. Also felt like muscle spasms. I was thinking when the doctor did the biopsy she must of hit a nerve. After two months the shake in my legs got better. It was a bad scary feeling. A biopsy let's you know if there is cancer. Unfortunately mine was a bad experience.

      @@aamalkhan7659 I am doing better. It took a year or more to recover from that bad experience. My legs aren't shaking anymore and the muscle spasms went away. As I mentioned before, the doctor must of hit a nerve because I had a little blood come out when she finished the biopsy. The doctor made my thyroid worse. I will never allow another doctor to poke a needle in my thyroid. People don't realize how sensitive the thyroid really is. Thank you for asking. God bless.

I told my doctor to check my thyroid and he refused so when he finally did he told me he will not prescribe me anything until it gets worse. Never heard a doctor say that before so now I’m doing as much research as I can so I can try and heal myself. Help is appreciated if anybody wants to add comments 😂

      Get a second opinion that sounds so wrong. Unless you take other medicines that would conflict? Or worse maybe then they'd make less money because you wouldn't be visiting them for problems that are caused by it.
      Try eliminating dairy and gluten. These usually cause malabsorption of nutrients. Most patients or issues may he caused by deficiencies in Iron, iodine, zinc, magnesium, or selenium.
      Eat more protein for iron, iodized salt for iodine, magnesium and zinc can be found in some nuts, and selenium is eh.
      Aim for 2000 calories. Undereating can also cause issues and excaberate the issues caused by hypothyroidism.
      Also, just be more conscious of all foods you eat. Certain things bloat me worse lemon, tomato, acidic things etc. There are some foods that can be bad for you that aren't necessarily "bad foods". Rice even. Beans.
