I watched your tortilla recipe and wanted to share an ingredient with you that I have been using for a few years for a big variety of keto bread and tortilla. I just stumbled on it on my own and have not seen anyone using it. It's Celery fibre. I have been doing that celery juce in the morning experiment where you remove all the fibre to make the juce, I used a nut bag to strain the juce from the blended pulp as I only have a blender and no jucer. The fiber left in the nut bag was almost the consistency of play-doh, I started to freeze it in balls so I could store it for use in recipes, I use alot now instead of psyllium husk in the classic tortilla no egg recipies that I've found online. I've mixed it with all manor of things it to flavour it, Celery is quite a mild savoury flavour on its own and works really great for keto because after all the juce is gone it's very low carb. I use it fresh or defrost a ball from the freezer, I even steamed a ball before to thaw it out in a hurry, and that also worked fine. I wonder if you ever heard of this before and would be interested in seeing any recipes you could make with it. Love your channel! Made many of your deserts 💖

Ciao, io sono italiana, più precisamente: Emilia Romagna, da noi si cucina la "piadina", mettiamo strutto anziché olio, farina, sale un pizzichino di bicarbonato e acqua ghiacciata, poi una volta corre le mangiamo con prosciutto o affettati, con formaggi, e anche con marmellate o cioccolato. Most welcome Ceci.❤️ They freeze well, just wrap them in a cling wrap, stored in a ziplock bag. Thaw them in the fridge or on the counter before using, and pat with paper towels if there is any moisture remaining. You can pop them in your microwave for a few seconds or reheat them using a pan.❤️🤗 ❤️🤗

Hello Zizi! You can definitely use powdered psyllium husk but the color may change because the store bought powdered psyllium husk is much more darker than the whole and will most likely turn your tortilla into a darker colour too.❤️

You can freeze them in an airtight container or in a ziplock with parchment paper in between. You can also refrigerate them and will last up to 5 days.❤️

I don't have psyllium husk. I'll try it with flaxseed meal. They're both the same consistency
The psyllium acts as a binder. I'm not sure flaxseed will do it. But it's worth a try.

@ketosterts What brand of psyllium husk do you use? My organic brand turns purple when used in baking. It does not alter the flavor! But purple color keto bread is a little unappealing 😊
