Nitzer Ebb,Noise Unit,Tribantura,Aircrash Bureau and of course Front 242 all are better than NIN.NIN is a representative of the culture but if you wanna get technical,Ministry and Al Jourgeson is the reason these bands sounded the way they sounded.Though Downward Spiral feels the closest to EBM of all his stuff.Sin is a banger

Seems he got the lyrics a bit mixed up...and I always like this song....he seems less....for lack of better words...less assertive in his vocals.

They sound fuckin' great but the singer is off. And I'm not talking about audio/video sync. He started late and then got the lyrics out of sorts. It's exactly how it would be if I were to try and sing it myself.
