I recently got the fire brigade and townhall in a bundle for 500 USD. Very happy with the purchase and looking forward to putting them together when I’m done dissembling them. Just an FYI, the brown and dark red Lego pieces on older sets are all prone to cracking and breaking because of the chemical composition of the dyes and colorants they used back then to create the color of dark red and brown. I just thought I’d clarify because you mentioned “what do you expect it’s an old set” because most pieces hold up really really well. These two colors are just problematic in themselves.
vary accurate bass! It is these colors that are vert fragile. Also $500 for town hall and brigade is an amazing deal!!! Town hall is definitely my white whale! hope to find it one day as you have
wow paying under retail for any modular is an amazing deal especially ones like this! It is probably my favorite looking modular in my collection now! gorgeous set
Fantastic job Stud! Paid a similar amount for a used fire brigade and I was extremely lucky, no missing pieces and I only had 1 piece break! It’s going to look awesome and can’t wait to see the Emporium too!
Sounds like you got a good deal as well so that is great! Always a scary thing to grab these gems used but really drives the cost down. So excited to build Grand Emporium!
I'm not as knowledgeable on modular prices, seems like a good deal. I also think the set looks amazing, absolutely going to look stellar in your city. Maybe it's elementary (not for beginners), but it would have been nice to hear how you went about cross-referencing the pieces and how easy/difficult it was to find replacements. Maybe on the next video :) have a great day!
I appreciate that Daniel!! It actually toook me like start to finish to disassemble, organize, take a part list, and rebuild, near 9/10 hours! Love to see that it find enjoyment though:)
I think I’m done hunting down old sets. There have been something wrong with every used set I bought. I’m just going to wait on the future sets and stop looking in the past
theres just so many good sets that keep coming out at this point im with you. Their are only two retired sets i really want which are brick bank and town hall. At some point in time i would love to grab them before they are too outragous.
@@StudCity I'm super new to lego. My son wanted a set then we watched videos and now we want a city. So I don't really understand the whole big deal about the box.
@@Hamilton8122 honestly it just is for resale value if your thinking down the future! Also you said you plan to start a city? I find many struggles with building a city but its so fun. This weekend I am heading home from college for a break and will make a few videos on my city! I hope you may find some of the changes i make useful! I have a lot to change in the city at its current state as i added more modulars to the collection so I will have to change the layout of it entirely!
I honestly can't do the whole used modular thing, my ocd won't have it. I know its sacrilege, but ive been buying off brand retired modular sets for the last couple months. Brick Bank, Cinema and the Parisian Restaurant... each less than $90.! Now for the Fire Brigade, Pet Shop, City Hall, and the Green Grocer.
Wow, nice! I hope Lego comes out with more modulars like this one, I love how much detail they put into them.
i sure hope they do! my favorite line from lego
Love how nice the back of it looks! Pretty amazing set in my opinion, also love the brick built flag.
Agreed! I think some modulars back side really are not good and this one is great. I plan to make a greek flag to replace the existing one:)

FB was my first modular. Lucked out as I bought it on sale on Amazon before it retired

Im looking to go through my part collection and part this out. Of course certain things will be adjusted accordingly like the roll up door.
Best of luck! Such a beautiful modular, please share some photos with us in discord when you are completed as we would love to see!

great suggestion brickanics! Just saw this comment as it was placed for review not sure why, so strange
Nice find , i think that wax a good price for both. Can’t wait to see the other one 👍
Thank you Papas!! Im excited for the emporium as well!
Not a bad price. Lots of detail in the back. Looking forward to seeing it in the city.
The most glorious moment! Ill have to wait for the pieces to come in before i can do it unfortunately 😅 worth the wait
Great details. This kind of video shows how much work goes on behind the scenes to make a RUclips channel successful. Good use of time, I think.

Awesome sets, happy you have those now for Stud City
Me too Mark! A pretty good deal as well never hurts!
