I did get a job btw! I got a placement as a trainee real estate agent. I think the best thing is just to be confident and be yourself. Don’t over complicate it
I took it to far I think. I started copying them word, for word. The interview escalated quickly with them yelling "STOP COPYING ME"! Of course I yelled it back...several times. Well, anywhoo...If Build a Bear hires me. What is the legal work around to that permantly trespased thing the police made me sign?
And you'd still like it subconsciously. We are social animals, if someone's mimicking your actions you should feel at ease. If not you might lack empathy.
For zoom, close your self video - we should not be seeing ourself in the zoom beyond the little intro to make sure we're visible and look good. My eyes will dart constantly between my own video and theirs - can't stand this lol
Wow, mirroring the other side is straight being disrespectful. You can slow down or try to match some things, but never copy other side. Be your own. Within the boundaries of being respectful. Let the other person enjoy seeing another acomplished character, instead of seeing a copy of themselves. Duh.
Got a very important interview in less than 20 minutes so hopefully this works.
Well.... Did u pass
@@pixieclixie3565 unfortunately I didn’t, I’m not going to sit here and lie. It was over zoom so it was hard to copy body language.
@@michaelrobinson2941 ohhh man!! its ok, better luck next time!!😊

Andy Bernard tried this with Michael Scott and ended up punching a hole in the wall and going into anger management.
Mirroring to me feels competitive
You need to make them feel important not matched
If I were an interviewer and someone copied me, I would doubt their honesty, sincerity and authenticity 👎🏾
I have my oxford interview in a month or two I hope I can do well!
Hope it went well.
So basicially your mirroring.
