  • Anything you do to protect your privacy on the Internet will fail if your identity ends up on this list. So we will discuss 4 tips to prevent you from being marked and pigeonholed based on your appearance on this list. What is this list? This is a basic concept that if you fail to grasp and execute, will cause all other privacy actions to collapse.

For my own part, the harder companies try to market to me, to push me into being someone they can milk for cash, the more I withdraw from the internet. Eventually, if they push hard enough, I just give it up entirely and take my free time back to the library, like how I used to do for decades.

I'm happy with it sitting in the corner, used a few times a day. A little like the way the first TV's would broadcast programs for only an hour or two. Managed to avoid portable devices, a choice which is met with increased hostility from people and organisations- No smart phone, you're a monster!!!
Not everyone has the memory of a goldfish, this is not what we were told it was going to be with the internet in the 90's, it's been allowed to happen, they're welcome to it.

How do you withdraw from the internet? But already the TV is pretty much useless. The TV is a liar and messes with your mind. Fake-news much? Notice that I did not say that I do not have a TV. I just don't watch TV much if any anymore. A TV is a good monitor for watching video games or for playing videos or viewing personal photos. But the TV channels are pretty much garbage. I watch mostly YT and Rumble, where I have more control over what I watch.

I think that in the future there will no longer be libraries to go to anymore. They will be replaced with digital libraries and internet cafe's. You will have to pay for most information. And THAT information will be selective and dependent upon what your government chooses to allow you to think. We are witnessing history being rewritten. Perfect example is BLM defacing historical statues and crying like babies about a past that we in the present had nothing to do with but should keep as reminders so as to learn from mistakes or advancements as a nation that operates within a free society. This is the transitional phase of the new order of things on earth. Sigh.

  • @R.-.

The core message here is: fear your government, but in free societies governments should fear the people. If your government abuse their power by putting innocent people on secret discriminatory lists, they violate human rights law. As free people whom our governments serve, we have every right to demand our governments remove us from such lists since we are not criminals by association.

I met a guy at the border between two countries. The bus was guided aside. He just sighed and said that this was commonplace for him. He'd been in these checks for six months. Meanwhile this was - hands down - the first time I was ever in such a big check, where the entire bus was put inside a warehouse. He was a nice enough fella, but I noticed that he had this look, and he also had tattoos even on his face. He told me, last time he needed to pee, he was forced to strip naked for them. I knew then that it's probably the circle of people he's seeing and that he's in fact being singled out. It could be algorithmic too. They want to catch as many as they can in one go. Just knowing that they use algorithms, is enough to exploit it IMHO. If there's too many of a certain type on the venue, then you know you're being set up, so just leave.

Leading up to the Vietnam war and into the more modern era. Given that I have always viewed the world from this perspective, I recognized that Facebook was a tool for people to perform the formally tedious task of compiling dossiers on everyone themselves and willingly provide the same to those interested in this data. I have to say that this kind of information is quite interesting. While I will definitely won't be able to minimize my online presence for quite a while due to my accounts, I look forward to when I can actually not leave an internet "breadcrumb trail." @stone8732 Rome wasn't built a day. Imagine this; for some reason, we're swimming in deep ocean, and an iceberg is coming towards us. You look under the waves and see this iceberg and start swimming away. A few minutes later I start doing the backstroke, swimming away from the iceberg, but not seeing the urgency of the matter. A wave submerges me for a brief moment and I see the whole thing.
Case in point: I can only swim one stroke at a time. I can't get to the point you urge me to in a matter of a few days. If I, or anyone else in my spot tried, I or they would burn out. While it'd be nice, I'm not going to just suddenly use (random distro) BlackArch linux with Whonix and some untraceable IP addresses and have twenty different phone numbers in a few days, complete with a clean and anonymous track record. That'd be insane. Let me work with cleaning up my inactive accounts first. One stroke at a time. One brick at a time. People like me will build Rome eventually.

I found a good way around this. I do not use a cell phone nor do I have a phone number. When I do eventually get a phone it will be a landline phone and not a cell phone. If I choose to get a cell phone it will be a burner phone to make calls and use the GPS mapping features only. I will only give out the cell phone to specific people and the landline phone for everything else.
I still have my original and very first email account outside of AOL accounts and that is the one I use for all of the intrusive websites that love to spam your email. I also have 4 other email accounts that are not really used at all but I do tend to interact with a few just to keep things a bit on the up and up for the email account to remain active and not be deleted by the provider. I really do not like emails and I tend to ignore them more often than not unless I know I will be receiving an email from someone that I made contact with and requested email contact.

Always keep them guessing where you are, who you know, and where you go. Swap cars with buddies you trust, have other people who can set stuff up for you, use cash, no utilities, take over leases, and stay aware of your keylogging. Set up multiple things and they will be pulling straws, which will alert you. Stay Frosty.

I can think of several instances where you _want_ to be identified. Say, if you're offering certain services, or if you're looking for certain types of jobs. Or even people. Letting certain kinds of people "discover" you can be very beneficial.

Great point about using another cell number for 2Fa
I have for a long time. Especially when found i didn't even have to buy a phone plan (load).
Buy the SIM, chuck it in. Send a text from your norm cell.
Save the number in both as "samsung 2Fa A10s " or whatever.

What I find humorous is that God is always observing our thoughts, intents and actions. All employees of the 3-letter agencies are themselves have files being collected on them and they, like all of us, will have to give an account for our actions.

But don't google accounts need a phone number to be associated with them? So 3 google accounts means 3 phone numbers?

I know that I had a Google account without a phone number for a long time, and I know that no number is directly mentioned on my account, but I can't remember if they eventually asked me for a phone "verification" once (anti-bot I think?). Certainly might have, and if-so I suppose it doesn't stay in account info as a registered number. (not to say that they don't still remember/keep that info)

    Hey Rob :)
I'm surprised I've never heard you talk about how some of the big email providers (Hotmail for example) regularly try to get people to associate separate email addresses together with each other, thus aiding the building of that telephone number, email address and contacts list web that you speak of, do you have an opinion on that? I don't watch all of your videos but really enjoy and take alot from the ones I do so I may have missed you mentioning it.
Thanks for doing the vid, very informative as always!

I can't get into details, but I can personally confirm that government agencies are already using this information. In an incident last year, all the agency had was the person's mobile number and a potential first name. Within 30 minutes they had practically everything about her. Where she worked, where she shopped, where her car was seen recently (automated license plate readers), location, who her current boyfriend was (!), etc. She had an iPhone, fwiw.
I've been around this stuff for a long time, and I know this information can be retrieved... but I had NO idea it could be done so quickly. For something like this, I thought it'd take weeks....nope!

I can take a name and current city and trace that person's ancestry without them telling me anything at all. That was impossible for most people just a few years ago. Back in the 80s, I did this as a test for a presentation, but I did get the subject's parents' names. I was able to trace lines back to the 1500s in just 4 days doing it the old-fashioned way using courthouses, cemeteries, libraries, etc. with in-person visits.

A lot of that is stuff any internet sleuth can find out fairly easily so of course the government won’t have any problem finding it.
I recently read a news report where the purchaser of a ‘firetool’ was tracked by its serial number from a secret video taken by an undercover investigator from a relevant agency. Gee, I wonder how they were able to do that considering they’re not supposed to retain records of those purchases. Hmm.

@@robbraxmantech Thank you. I guess I'm trying to figure out a better system for myself to try to keep everything straight. I also have multiple businesses as well. Some things cross over (i.e. my private me versus professional me). I'm just looking for ideas how to categorize on secondary levels. I totally understand how you categorize you as a person with different divisions for private you versus financial you and internet you. But, you are also a professional so there is also a crossover to professional you on the computer versus personal you on the computer. I would consider this as a secondary set of categories. For me, I'm finding some of it overwhelming and just trying to get it all straight in my head. For example, professional me also has business social media, banking for each company, websites, affiliates, emails, and so on. The number of accounts is compounded and I'm looking for ideas to streamline it. Maybe my situation is unique.
