This is a good opportunity to make the pareto principle work for you. 80% of the profit is in 20% of the items (or effort). I think it is worth the effort to sort the items by 3 piles - $100+, $50-100, and less than $50. List all the $100+ Immediately to recoup your $7k as quickly as possible. You only need 70 or less of these items and you definitely have that many in there. Reserve the $50-100 items for ebay, Posh, or a "high end" whatnot show. Do all the sub $50 bread n butter items in normal whatnot auctions to churn through them quickly and save yourself the storage and effort. Good luck! That is an amazing haul and you have the facilities & skill to handle it. Thanks as always for keeping it real.
Hubby and I did a bulk buy from a guy who buys storage lockers. Over 400 items with many older Nordstrom NWT items. It is sooo much fun to see what you get. Neat to see all the brand names. Mose the model! Thank you you two! ❤❤❤
@@HairyTornado And then put a smaller tarp over that, tie down well and nothing gets in - it acts like a tent fly. Did that all the time using a trailer for camping (Family 0f 3 -6 depending on the year lol) and NEVER got the inside wet.
This is what Hubby and I call, "an adventure". Always be prepared, lay a very large plastic sheet on bottom of trailor, when all is loaded, wrap like a giant present. Then, double tarp it. We only use tie-down straps. Crisscross in all directions most of the time very little gets wet. Love the videos, let us know when your going to be on, "What Not". Thanks!
In the future, in addition to the tarp, you may want to get some of those giant lawn and garden trash bags and put each box in it's own trash bag. Love your channel.
Great haul! RUclipsr Hustle At Home Mom sells designer clothes, and I have learned so much about what brands to look for from her. Mose looks awesome as Pooh.
Josh, you did a great job backing that single axle trailer. When I started my mowing business, I had a single axle trailer. They are so much harder to maneuver than a double axle trailer.
Thanks for mixing it up on your Channel all the time showing different reselling opportunities. Regardless of audience size there are so many different ways to make money!
The Dooney and Burke handbag is Ostrich embossed cow leather. Still very high quality. I used to work at a department store in expensive handbags and we had to go through hours of training. Hope this helps.
I am not 100% sure but that stole looks like mink, not rabbit fur. I am so sorry your things got wet. Luckily they are not totally destroyed. I think you might invest in better tarps and straps. Mose was so cute in his Pooh hat!! Poor ole pooch has to test out his parents wares all the time. Give him a hug from me!! Love to you both and LOVE LOVE LOVE the videos!!
I may be late to the party, but that was a MINK stole, not a rabbit! It’s a very nice piece, not sure if those mink stoles are in demand, but fur teddy bear artists would love it.
Great haul ! IMHO you guys need some electric garage door openers for the warehouse. Maybe you can do a thrifting video to pay for them, that would be fun. 😊
Yeah definitely rent a uhaul or start with a large tarp on the bottom of the trailer, pack boxes on top, then another tarp on the top so the boxes are enclosed. Water definitely comes up from the bottom when it’s raining
One thing you could do, to prevent future 'wet boxes' - go to an RV repair place, and see if you can get a big chunk of some of an old RUBBER ROOF from a big 5th wheel or camper... and glue that to the wood on your trailer (floor). That prevents any water from coming through from the road, and pads your wood. Then, you can have 1 sheet of outdoor plywood on EACH SIDE, another in the front, and you can either TARP OVER that... or use a 'slip pin hindge' to allow the lid to still be removable. My sides are removable, though honestly they are seldom removed, and I don't recall the last time I removed the 'front' panel. Having the trailer really empowers the benefits of our highlander. Having it 'closeable' - keeps weather, critters, and prying eyes out of our stuff. Awesome haul... some really cool stuff. Great find, awesome brands.
NICE haul. I could feel your excitement as you unpacked everything!! Love your videos and thanks for including your expert model with his new hat! May you make lots on your sales!!
No, let's not encourage people to lowball fellow resellers. The other person put her time and energy into finding all those things. They got a fabulous deal at the price they paid. Dont be a cheap cow.
the Mark Shale jacket. They stared a retail store in Joliet, IL back in the 50's/60's under the name Al Baskins. Expanded more into the Chicago area with 2 stores and eventually went out of business.
Wah wah wah.... the show stopper was.. interesting. ha! Lots of more exciting things popped up throughout the unboxing, but it was still a blast to watch :)
Hey Josh, loved Mose in the Pooh costume. He is such a good boy. If no one has mentioned it, I think your fur is a mink stole from the 60's. Good luck and God bless!
Theory is similar to Vince, high dollar and mid-resell price (doesn’t keep its high price tag) - both make quality pieces though. Spiritual Gangster is a yoga-centered brand, similar to Alo but not as popular. Still sells well. Their graphic racerback is a popular item from them
I feel as good as you guys are with the way you conduct yourselves all these items will be sold and you will double your money possibly even more Congratulations ❤😊
Great haul folks!! The bulk side of the equation needs to include your time, gas and travel inconvenience!! It is well worth the pickup!! Congrats and so thrilled for your ongoing success !! Greetings from Canada!! GIDDYUP!!
Park Ave Thrift! That is my favorite spot in the ATL area. Gotta go on Sundays for 1/2 off everything or go to the outlet locations. Everything is less than $2.50. Great video!
My thing is how did y’all just pull up at home and immediately jump into working lol. I would have had to pee, put my butt on my couch for a minute etc… lol. Dedication.. pure dedication
I would be taking a couple weeks to just list the majority of this on ebay... alot of work. But it will pay off big! Now to just get it out of the death pile 😂
The excitement on Hayley’s face is infectious🤗 Next time lay down the tarp, put on the boxes and wrap up. Lay another over the top. 👍 We use tarps A LOT here in Alaska😉
Once the boxes were wet, you were likely near the net weight limit on those smaller trailer tires. Their capacity should be on the tires themselves and the trailers capacity should be on a label somewhere on the frame. Don’t forget the trailers weight has to be subtracted from the Gross Weight Load Limit, to get the Net Limit you can safely carry. Oh and great job backing the trailer!🙂🙂
FYI in the future cover the individual boxes with contractors trash bags tape it all around then put the tarp over it thanks for the video great haul 👍
Not to be a Debbie downer, but as a clothing reseller, I think $7 an item was too high for a lot of those brands to make a great profit. Maybe I am doing things wrong, but even good brands will often sit in my shops listed at $10 (price reduced over time) and no one buys them. Some of your items will do extremely well, but at that price point, if it was me, I would probably only be able to break even, maybe make a small profit on that haul. I am used to buying things at $2 or under. That is about the only way I feel comfortable reselling- and where the money is made. It is always fun to see what you get, and I enjoy your positivity and excitement.
Trailers: like you, my first was an open flatbed that I used for hauling lumber, sheet goods and a small tractor (about 25 years ago), but as soon as I started reselling and sourcing in bulk I added a single axle enclosed trailer to my vehicle inventory. Since I live west of Seattle, days like you experienced were too common in the rainy season and I couldn’t let most of what I sourced would be ruined by rain. The enclosed trailer solved that issue and saved time dealing with wet stock. Not having to deal with tie downs and being able to arrive home late and not unload until the next day were also well worth the cost of a single axle used trailer. I went on to find and used 4 enclosed and 2 flatbeds, as the business grew, keeping both single and double axles trailers in the inventory gave us more versatility and we could size the trailer(s) to the job, saving even more time.
All that stuff looks great! Yall mentioned, you didn't know the brand Theory, but their a very good designer brand. Used prices for jeans go for anywhere between $70 to $200 used depending on size, style, and condition! Hope it helps! Have a beautiful day!
I have moved a lot in my life time, I did learn to put tarps on the bottom of the trailer, place boxes etc, fold the tarps up around the load strap it down them place tarps over the top and strap them down good. You should have nice dry boxes. Good luck next time.
Please please please do a running total of all these items so we can see the profit! We need one of those old school thermometer charts with the $100 milestone markers to see the running tally. Very excited.
The only way I've found to keep things dry on trailers is individually wrapping boxes in large contractors' bags, and then putting a tarp over that, rain at highway speed has a knack for working its way in everywhere . Nice haul!
Ridiculous how many great items you’ve gotten. It may be worth investing in a enclosed trailer in the future or renting one from uhaul if you do more big bulk items like this. Thanks for sharing!
Hannah Anderson is a great brand. They do a lot of kids clothes and some adult clothes. They are super high quality and last forever. I have pairs of pajamas from them that were mine in the 80s that my kids then wore and are still in amazing shape that I'm saving for any grandchildren. Super cute and amazing!
Regarding the Munda handbag, it was a very good line back in the 70’s & 80’s. They were known for really good quality, mostly leather. I didn’t realize they were still in business. Best of luck on your big purchase!
Can’t believe you trusted bungee cords to keep the majority of the tarps secure vs tie down straps! Especially with such an expensive purchase. One giant tarp & 3-4 well placed tie downs would have help-unfortunately I doubt even that wouldn’t result in fully dry boxes with that amount of rain😞
Brooks Brothers IS a great brand!!! That pea coat is a classic!! They are a timeless, high quality company. But, what a haul! It will definitely be worth the investment of time and money.
@@HairyTornado My husband had an oops backing up when his trailer like this one with his mower on it jackknifed. We were happy to pay only the $500 deductible. Yikes!!
Brooks Brothers and J Crew are very good brands! Both can be expensive. What you thought was rabbit fur could be maybe mink. Stuart Weitzman is a high end brand. For a simple slide they start at $300 and on up from there. Boots start at $600. Fabulous haul and am eager to see how much you profit from it!!!🤑💸
Yes, I was also confused by them saying they weren't great brands. Both tend to be on the expensive side and pride themselves on workmanship. At least they did.

Refridgewear is a good brand! I used to work at Food Lion Distribution Center and they gave those to the guys who worked in the freezer side of the warehouse.
Props on the trailer back-up skills Josh! It’s harder than it looks, if you’ve never done it. Your wife is a lucky lady to have a man with such great trailer skills! 😂😂

In my experience, it’s been easier to buy a massive tarp, lay it down inside the trailer, put boxes on top, then fold over the top.
Yes I definitely should have done that.
Yes, because a LOT of that water was sprayed up from below. Lesson learned.
I was thinking the same.
