Dude you are dialed... I could watch you work all day, the professionalism and speed was off the charts. I have the same exact forks on my bike thankyou for the quick run down
Thank you taking the time to making the video…very informative and straight to the point…watched it with my first cup of coffee…enjoy watching a master at work….you earned my subscription
I have been so patiently waiting for you to rebuild some forks like the ones on my bike! Looks like I did it right lol! Even though I went by the manual.
So I bought new springs I’m trying to rebuild mine and I noticed there isn’t an tiny adjustment rod that you pull out and I have washers on top of my fork springs under the top cap maybe lowering washers?idk what’s the purpose of that rod and can I run it without them?
Nice video thanks. Under the top cap there is a steel cup with a blue rubber inside it. Mine was a pile of blue bits. What is it called and what does it do?
Oh wow...Look at you Top of the line Motion Pro LOCKING fork seal drivers!! No more blood blisters in the palm of your hand. I finally got smart and put rubber bands made out of old inner tubes on old Honda ones from oh maybe back in the late 70's and mid 80"s. But even that upgrade wont keep you from mashing the meat on the side of your hand!!! lol
I know this video was a year ago but I’m cringing of all the dirt on that fork and your reassembling it. I was hoping to see you clean everything up before then they will last a lot longer and perform a lot better when they’re clean but thanks for the information.
That is some ugly oil. Ewan needs to play hooky and do next time. Or plastic bag if no 46mm bullet. My 690 has the split forks and not sure which one it was but during my last oil change with the adjuster tube out, I dropped the damper rod down inside and the spring and needle from the base valve took a trip up and out and hit the ceiling. LOL

Awesome video man! I could not figure out how to tighten that bottom 14 mm hex bolt all the way but thanks to you I know how now.
Thank you!

Super informative! Thanks!
I need to do this on my yz85 and kx100. I think I’m ready to tackle this job

You need the rod. It’s how you adjust the damping.
Nice video thanks.

Thanks for great Vids!!!
Question: Before you take the shock apart do you need to run the clicker all the way in?
No. All the way out.

Hahaha these are actually Zach’s. I don’t love them. They are kinda clunky to use
@@highlandcycles 100% agree, clunky for sure.

The insides of everything are clean. In fact, that set of forks is still on those seals right now. No leaks.
What happens if you don’t back out the clickers?
Harder to bleed
Zak was very noisy that day lol 👍👍👍
Hehehe, he is so noisy! LOL
Can that bottom Allen bolt be removed without an impact?
Yes
What is the model of that shock?
Those are the KYB air forks on yz125’s and YZ250’s, 2002-2005
What size oil seak is that sir?
46mm
How many hours do you think was on that fork oil? That looked nasty
Probably close to 100. Way too long. Cobblers kids kinda thing
The amount of oil added is not the same, 370 and 260.
Does anything get torqued to spec in that shop? 🤔
If it needs to be, absolutely. But none of these parts need it if you know your tools.
how many cc of oil to fill
thank fuck
super tech trans fluid
