To be fair Craig was sick as hell. I think over time people will realize how important he really was. This old sampling mixed with Sid's GOAT skills topped Slipknot's booming percussions, heavy lyricism and vocals, and the tuned down guitars. Slipknot really has all A-class musicians throughout it's lifetime.
@@mr.boxh3ad931yea people discredit sid and Craig way too much… like gently for example The beginning of that song is filled with a bunch of weird ass sounds but sounds so good
I am as big a slipknot fan as we come. But this really proves that craig had one killer and easy ass gig in slipknot. The hardest part for him was probably staying so fucking quiet about it the whole tine hahaha.
From what I understand, he was a prominent engineer and helped a lot with studio recordings and other media. Also, he is a pretty experienced guitar player, and definitely wrote for them and shaped the way that they sound. If he was only finding samples, I'd agree that his job was probably pretty easy, but he did a lot in the studio and their live mixing. So, 8 studio albums, 4 or 5 DVDs, music videos, thousands of shows he would help engineer, and other media he had a hand in with mixing, producing, etc. He was a pretty pivotal member.
@@VenomOfficiial his work is probably more under the hood, and usually people aren't gonna know what's under the hood compared to what's in plain sight.
Ellis Frost no Craig doesn't control the guitar effects of Jim and Mick. They both hired guitar techs to do it for them. Jim's Tech is Martin Connors and Mick's is Kevin Allen
Ohhh you seen it through? Well as of now, I changed this suit's number to #0 because Sid signed it. And yeah, it's not dynamo suit, it's Monsters of Rock 2013 suit
This is really cool, I'm learning to become a DJ and can do many Slipknot songs myself, most of my covers on my channel kinda suck and I intend on redoing all of those covers..
Everybody will have a bad head start but it will eventually get better. Right now I'm preparing Vol.3 samples (which is really hard along with the .5 album) and I'm gonna play it if my time permits.
Never thought I should see a somebody do a cover of ''MIDI controls''.
Well... here you go!

Wouldn't you agree that coming up with new samples and choosing when and how to add them is difficult enough?

Lmaoooo
People will never understand how much craig did for slipknot, it doesnt matter how few things he did on stage, he wrote so much music
This is exactly what RUclips was made for. sic video!
interesting for sure. awesome video
clown, chris and craig are not indispensable in the band, but they give a certain atmosphere to the band that make them unique
His short headbangs remind me of boo from monsters inc. lol
HERE COMES THE PAINNNNNNNNN
I never understood why Sid didn't pull double duty here. I think he hits the controller 6 times. lol
cuz craig's mask was cool
Because Craig was a member
Craig did a lot more than the MIDI* should probably add that
craig also goes way back with joey before slipknot, they played in the same band
easy ass money for Craig
I can't say that because he's also in charge of Media, their official website, and synthesizing Jim and Mick's guitars.
Please elaborate further on "Synthesizing Jim and Micks guitars" lol
I think he's trying to say that Craig handles the effects of Jim and Mick's guitars.
Ellis Frost no Craig doesn't control the guitar effects of Jim and Mick. They both hired guitar techs to do it for them. Jim's Tech is Martin Connors and Mick's is Kevin Allen
Your setup looks like Craig's in "Dynamo 2000"
He’s wearing a dynamo Chris, but wearing a Craig st mask
Ohhh you seen it through? Well as of now, I changed this suit's number to #0 because Sid signed it.
And yeah, it's not dynamo suit, it's Monsters of Rock 2013 suit
Que sigue? Un cover del que guarda los cables?
😂
Ja, no estaría mal.
Moms in the other room wondering why he still hasn't moved out
Great video Craig!
This is great. Where do you get your samples?
I got it directly from their original tracks by extracting the very sound.
Craig has shooters they're out there
Really cool video
great video, lmao...please do more Craig covers :-D
Will do. I'm just swamped these past few weeks until now
Perfectly
You're missing A LOT of samples man. There are little hidden samples all over (sic) and you missed all of them.
Yeah I know. It's just too hard for me to extract those "little hidden samples" because you can't normally hear it.
Just like the original! Big thumbs up! 👍👍
Do XIX
I will do all the samples I have, It's just I'm very busy these days. It's holidays season y'know.
Corey Jones xD
Pinoy kaba? Ung drawer kasi eh tsaka ung bahay pangpinoy
Badass man!
That was (sic) any chance of tattered and torn st cover
I have samples and can actually do that. I will do more videos in the near future.
Awesome look forward to it
For real, where can I get that mask?
This is really cool, I'm learning to become a DJ and can do many Slipknot songs myself, most of my covers on my channel kinda suck and I intend on redoing all of those covers..

Mr. 132 If you find samples for the .5 album, that would be amazing..
I'll try my best. my samples came from the mp3 files itself. really hard to extract.
hey man where did u get the mask it's amazing!!!!
Well it's self-made but the materials are too expensive.
RUclips algorithm is gonna kill me one day i swear
You are amazing! XD
Do Spit it out cover :D
There is: ruclips.net/video/DjXTYk0pDuI/видео.html
Mr. 132 yeah i found it few mins ago xD where did u got that 1999 mask?
I just self-made it. The parts are so rare to find though. Are you intersted in it?
Mr. 132 yes,i tried to find one for sale or at least parts for it and i failed ;-;
if youre interested on it, PM me on facebook/messenger. Name is Tony Caps, profile picture is the one that has red coat.
You buy Nail in length Centimeters ?
it's 6 inch nails.
Nah, its actually Nine Inch Nails
Who made the mask and how much?
I did it myself. Would you be interested in it?
wow so dam hard to do that.
The sarcasm is real! hahaha
where did you got the samples?
I extracted it from the song itself.
Mr. 132 how did you do that? thanks for answearing me dude!
I've done it via Audacity
HE'S NOT EVEN DOING SHIT!!
Try cutting those samples from the songs. You're not getting Craig's part from Slipknot. xD
Very interesting
kewl
cool
This samples is DIY?
Samples are taken RAW from their mp3 files
but, how did you extract, which software?
Will took time and it's really hard to extract it. I'm using Audacity
😂😂😂😂😂
the most useless person in Slipknot award goes to Craig jones
Slipknot music will not be Slipknot because of Craig. He is also actually in charge of Synthesizing Jim and Mick's guitar
Mr. 132 And Craig's samples are important part in many of their songs
Alec Foster FUCK off bitch Craig is one of the most important guys
Alec Foster Craig has a very important role, he makes all the weird noises in the back, of course so does sid, but he does more scratching.
Clown actually does less than Craig lol
ur sampling sids scratches u moron. i have turntables n have learned all of sids parts, so ik ur already doing too much! lol
We don't have a DJ in our tribute band, that's why I sampled scratches too.
