4:00 Bourrée I repeated with modulation
Bach contrasted a long, elaborate first Bourrée with a much shorter, simpler one that I featured in an earlier video. Because it's customary to repeat the first after playing the second, this ended up being quite a long video! I had two aims with the patch settings: first, contrast the second Bourrée with the earlier performance that I uploaded a little while ago, and second, to provide an interesting difference between the first and second repeats of the first Bourrée by playing the second with an interesting modulated setting. I think it sounds almost like a Leslie! As always, the hands-free filter changes are provided by an expression pedal; I also used the Strymon Brig to modify the left and right channels slightly to aid in creating a stereo image. - Видеоклипы
Cutting edge! Great performance, thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much!
Wendy Carlos vibes
Bourree II is definitely my fave! 🎉✨🎹
Copy-paste error in the description! Thanks for this wonderful experience though :)
Cheers!
Absolutely loved the playing, but wish you would have used a softer sound without that random cutoff-modulation then it would have been perfect! 😀
Do you mean in the first patch or the second two patches? I wonder if I could make it a gentler cutoff by adjusting the release control in the envelope, or if it’s something weird I accidentally highlighted in the mastering process. Thanks for the comment - constructive feedback is always appreciated and I learn heaps from my perceptive listeners!
Are you reading this from sheet music?
Yes; I use the Bärenreiter edition.
